TLDR: - Limited Parking - Understaffed - Delicious food and drink - Affordable and great pricing I saw this business being recommended in one of the Top Places to try in Houston. Upon arrival, the parking was small and limited. We parked on a side street, but keep in mind this was a Thursday at 1pm, parking was already full. Once heading inside we waited for a couple of minutes and the greeter was also the online order taker, to go order taker and giver and was taking orders online. We were told to sit anywhere we liked and we did, there were about two servers who seemed d extremely busy and rushed. We waited around 10 minutes before given menus and asked for an our drinks. We received our drinks fast and they tasted wonderful, we got the cinnamon coffee and it has tasted better than any other cafe de olla from any Mexican brunch restaurant or cafe. We then proceeded to ordered our food, I ordered chilaquiles en guajillo with two scrambled eggs. My partner ordered el asado de puerco. The food came promptly and tasted amazing ! The prices were great and affordable. Puebla's gets 5 stars because the food outweighs the few cons of limited seating & parking. Got a beef fajita sope & taco. The sope was perfectly cooked and the meat was flavorful and fresh. I would take a stack of the tortillas home if I could! I love the chip thickness and the salsa was flavorful (and warm!). The service was friendly and the atmosphere welcoming. First timer here! Went because it was close to my apartment and glad we did! They were very busy for a Tuesday; parking was a bit difficult. Minimal parking up front so have to park on the street. We waited for about 15 minutes and the service was okay, I guess they are overwhelmed but our food came out quickly and it was delicious! We had a sope, children's quesadillas that our toddler devoured, the Gordita and machacado. The food is authentic with homemade corn tortillas which were very good! This is our favorite go-to breakfast spot, but we've learned there's usually a wait if you don't go right at opening on Saturdays. They have my favorite handmade corn tortillas, which are thicker than other places. I usually get the huevos con machacado with nopales and a cafe de olla (thankfully not pre-sweetened). My husband usually gets the migas, and we share a (very large) tamarindo aguas frescas. Everyone is always friendly, and the place is so cute. We had asked for a table of six, four of us at the restaurant and two on the way. We told her it would still be some time until they arrived, plans are never perfect, and she said we would have to get up and wait for a party of 4. Arrived open minded. Parking was a hassle. They have like 5 spaces and the rest of the parking is along the street in front of townhomes. Super packed, waited 45 minutes to be seated, just to see that a couple that arrived 20 minutes after us was already getting chips and drinks. WE WERE HERE FIRST. We were seated in the back table, which is a bit unfortunate since the speaker is blaring pretty loud music. However there were a lot to love about the food. Moderately priced, the Desayuno menu looked amazing. Eventually went with the breakfast torta, which consisted of scrambled eggs and chorizo/bacon wrapped in a perfectly made bolillo roll with a slightly crunchy crust but with an airy soft interior. It was absolutely perfect. We received adequate service while we were there at breakfast. But then I actually forgot my copy of my receipt, and the man who answered went above and beyond to find my check and text it over to me (calling me to make sure I received it afterwards). And that was during a busy lunch hour. Definitely coming back here soon to try some migas. Houston's got a good place for Mexican breakfast! My first and last time coming here, i wanted to try it. I arrive to the restaurant and i get a table for me and my child , & my brother calls me and says he's down the road he can join me. I tell the waiter hey my brother is coming give him 5 min literally maybe less. He gets upset tells me we cant hold tables and then I try to order his food, and he tells me no wait till he comes he was on his lunch break so that held us back more. My friend and I stumbled on this restaurant in search of lunch. We had walked to Mamaka for açaí bowls that morning and did a Target run. Needless to say, we were hungry. We wanted to try something new around our area. This was literally down the street via car. Parking is limited in the front, but you can also park on the side street next to the restaurant. We came in, and it was packed for a late lunch after 1 pm. There are about 12 small tables that can seat 4 people each. The dining area is small and narrow. I like the colorful decor. It was over 100 degrees out and was still warm inside, as well. Chips & salsa: The chips are on the thicker side. Salsa was ok. Needed some acidity and salt. Enchiladas Rojas: I added fajita for an extra $4. I'm so glad I did. The meat is cubed and cooked well. It was tender and easy to eat with a fork. The guajillo chile sauce was delicious. It added so much flavor and color to the dish. The rice itself was seasoned well and tasted good. The refried beans were bland on its own but paired with the saltiness of the enchiladas, it helped cut through. Service was excellent. We just discovered this spot in the neighborhood, and we are sad to be so late to the game, but we had such a lovely breakfast here. Inside feels so cozy and like I'm in Mexico; it's extremely casual and laid back. The service was a little bit slow but everyone was kind and had a positive attitude. You may be asked to take a pager to wait for a spot, or directed to seat yourself at an open table. It's better for smaller groups but there's a possibility of pushing some tables together for a larger party if needed. Parking is a little scarce but there's a small lot in the front and back. I believe street parking nearby is an option - we didn't have a problem at all with this though. The offerings are classic and very affordable - we were so pleasantly surprised. I recommend their corn tortillas as they are fresh and handmade! I got the huevos con machacado a la mexicana, and my husband got the enchiladas. Both were so full of yummy flavor and were complemented perfectly by the accompaniments: delicious refried beans and salsa for the eggs, and queso fresco with rice and refried beans for the enchiladas. I discovered Pueblo's by accident a few years ago while visiting the local farmers market in Houston. We were searching for breakfast, and it was one of the few places open in the area. Parking can be a bit limited, with small lots in front and back, but there's street parking available in the neighborhood behind the restaurant. Every time we visit, we're greeted warmly by the cashier or staff. The décor is vibrant and fun, featuring Mexican cultural elements like luchadores and sugar skulls, which adds to the authentic atmosphere. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. While we usually sit inside, on this visit we enjoyed the beautiful weather and chose to sit outside. Though the view includes parked cars, the ambience was still enjoyable. My go-to order is the chorizo and potato burrito, but I've tried several variations, and they're all great! The cinnamon coffee is also a must. In addition to our favorites, we like to try something new with each visit. This time, we ordered the Chilaquiles--corn tortillas cut into quarters, lightly fried, topped with tomatillo salsa, queso fresco, and served with refried beans. We added eggs and skipped the sour cream and onions, which is usually included. The dish was delicious! Service is always spot-on, and the food never disappoints. Man!!!! I love when I find these local spots! The place is a cute little spot it reminded me the "fondas" in Mexico City or Puebla (hence the name) . Menu has different food options I came for breakfast HD the machaca (specialty from chihuahua Mexico) and since I was craving Gorditas I ordered one (Gordita is basically a corn pita fried and you can put anything inside usually a meat dish and some lettuce cheese and tomato). And chicharrón is basically pork belly cooked on a green sauce (made usually with jalapeños and green tomatillo). When I tell you the first bite of that Gordita took me back to my childhood and my teenage years in Mexico eating at those fondas and it's like a warm hug! The hot chocolate could've been better but I give it to them because it came on a nice cup and it had whipping cream (the actual drink was watered down) still pretty enjoyable. Prices can't beat it! So you can have a decent home made Mexican breakfast for less than $10 Btw don't expect complementary chips and salsa like some Mexican spots in order for them to keep the good prices they charge if you want that . Delicious green chicken enchiladas, and for me, the perfect amount of cheese, which is actually very little. I enjoy this although I am guessing others do prefer a more cheesier melty vibe. A slight scattering of cotija cheese is perfect. I have to tell you about this green sauce they serve in a squeezed bottle. It's delicious. I covered everything with it the chips the beans the rice the enchiladas. I couldn't get enough it is hot spicy but in a very good way. If I had a purse with me I would probably try to take the squeeze bottle home with me. Okay maybe not but I would consider it. It reminds me of a poblano sauce I've had on some crepes before which were really good.
