After my workout I was hungry for tacos, but not just any basic tacos I wanted something a little more "elevated". Pacific Coast Tacos was right there minutes from the walking trails I was on so I was there in no time, it's like it was meant to be! Such a cute place, very spirited and clearly the spot for those in the community because it was hopping! PCT definitely has a vibe! It was understandable that there was no greeting when I came in the door, and that's likely because all the staff was busy, busy - but I do appreciate that I was at least acknowledged. The person helping me clearly had several duties and customers to take care of, but he moved with a sense of urgency and that is what you want to see. For food I decided to go with their Mahi Mahi tacos, as well as their "Taco of the Month" ( Island Grouper fish taco), both on Corn tortillas. I had to test them on their chips and Guac, so I went with that as well. My wait time for my to-go order wasn't long at all - as mentioned, the place was hopping with customers, but they moved as quickly as possible to get my food to out to me. I love how they package their tacos for to-go orders - it's in this box (w/clear lid) that allows the tacos to sit upright. Perfect! I've not seen any other taco place to this, but rather other places will wrap the taco flat and by the time you open it, the contents have spilled out. No bueno. And my goodness, the amount of chips you get here?!? Wow. It's a sharable amount! They also give an ample serving size of guac too. The tacos were tasty, light, and flavorful, the fish perfectly cooked. Chef's kiss. The guacamole was different, having a little sweet tanginess to it- still very good. The chips were not as light, but a bit thicker cut - good crunch to them though. All in all, the food was great! For almost $28 - though, a bit on the expensive side, it was worth every bite. This place is a cool stop if by yourself or with a group. Indoor and outdoor seating is available, with plenty of parking. Conveniently located near Memorial Park. P.S. They serve cool drinks too! Check it out! Enjoy!

After their increase in prices I won't be going back. I may as well go to a regular restaurant where the price comes with sides and the margaritas have a little kick and some alcohol.

After reading the reviews I was confused. How can so many Yelpers feel so differently about the same taco?! So I went to see for myself, and after scoping out the menu, I was equally confused! Tom kha soup, som Tum soup, jerk chicken tacos and poke bowls all under one roof? Well here it is, and do you know what? It's working. Sports bar it is not, but most folks were here to watch the game when I arrived. If it's your 1st time, here are a few things to know: *parking can be extremely tricky so if you can visit during off hours, it's likely your best bet! *1-2 margs will have you feeling the Tequila! *While the queso wasn't my fav, is true to its name...Smokey, no heat, but smoke. I personally would not order it again but I see the appeal. *Doggos are welcome on the covered patio *The vibe is casual, and personally the service I received was great! *As far as the tacos, they offer a different spin on the traditional: ---all the flavors and textures of the pacific veggie play nice together. Crunchy spicy, sauce, creamy bliss! ----The jerk chicken has the flavors without the spice if that's your thing. ----The bang bang shrimp is insane. With the shrimp fresh out of the fryer, if you love bang bang shrimp it's a creative and tastily decedent take. If you're watching your sugars, this ain't the one, it's decently coated in bang bang sauce. But if you don't care, the shrimp is fried to perfection, and they're generous with the sauce. Happy exploring!

Breakfast tacos weee prefect. Potato taco add bacon. Or bacon taco add potato it was great. Crispy bacon and soft potatoes, the tortilla was very fresh, eggs were not overcooked. Everything was great. We ordered one for pick up just to try, (my son and I). And enjoyed it so much that we purchased two more. At first I was thinking, the tacos were a bit small for the price. But it was fair giving the quality of the product. (We left the hour wait time we left the hour wait time and where was that place we just leftkitcheb kitchen Taste bar down town. Because we were hungry now. ) And to think we gave it a try otw to IHOP. We ended the breakfast journey here at Pacific Coast Tacos. They're GOOD AND FAST. Less than 5 minutes.

We got... The following proteins: Grilled bang bang shrimp Pulled pork Jerk chicken These "tortilla" options: Flour tortilla Corn tortilla Jicama - the worst Jerk chicken taco was the best!

This is a delicious iced tea. Nice smokey flavor to it.

Not often I get excited about a Taco place but this place is pretty awesome. They have a lot of delicious tacos and you can even get a Jícama shell if you're watching your carbs but you probably should just let this one go. They also have a bar and a nice patio so the whole ambiance of the place is very open and bright and it's a good place to just go hang out too if you're meeting with someone.

Went to PCT on a Thursday night. It's an order at the counter kind of restaurant. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I went with the elotes in a bowl, guacamole and chips, a fried fish taco, and a fried shrimp taco. Elotes - it was ok. I felt like it was kind of dry for elotes. May give it a try again and ask if they could make it saucier. Guacamole and chips - I'm really not a fan. I think they put mango in their guacamole, and I'm not a fan of that. It made it seem a bit sweet, and it was also very tart for some reason. Wouldn't order it again. Fried Fish taco - they use Cod, which to me is the best kind of fish to put on a fish taco. With that being said, this wasn't the best fish taco I've had. The batter wasn't very tasty to me. Next time, I think I'll order grilled fish tacos. Fried Shrimp taco - this was hands down the best thing I had. It was really good. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. This I would 100% order again. They also have drink specials throughout the week.

Great pricing, nice portions, and delicious food! Every time I've been things have come out pretty fast and the quality is always amazing. Indoor and outdoor options are also very nice

Finally tried this place again since my first experience was so MEH and am sad to say there were serious letdowns. We both got the Korean taco and it's gotta be up there with the most overcooked beef either of us have ever had in our lives. The flavors weren't bad, but the texture of rock hard beef on a very dedicate jicima tortilla was pretty awful. My fish taco was good, not great, and there was a wimpy amount of chipotle sauce so it was on the bland side. My boyfriend said his veggie taco was disappointing. The salsas are half good- the habanero salsa (orange) which was the texture of water and the roasted tomatillos salsa (darker green) was the texture of strawberries preserves. The star of the show was the Hawaiian poke. The tuna was fresh and the sauce was perfect with it, it had a nice sesame and sought citrus flavor and was not overpowering or sweet. It's really why this wasn't knocked down to 1 stars it was so good.

Allow me to be Review No. 1,100 following my visit to this wonderful culinary gem yesterday…read more By default, Spring Branch is Houston's Koreatown, but it's not unusual to find establishments with Spanish-language branding on them throughout the neighborhood. And Tacos Doña Lena, on which I'll heap tons of praise on, is among them. A group of friends and I had supper here before a live show down the street at Eighteen Ten Ojeman. Upon seeing the storefront when we pulled into the parking lot, my first thought was, "Okay, this is legit Mexican, not Tex-Mex." The interior is quite small with some tables and an ample late Saturday afternoon crowd. What caught my eye is how the environment is what you might expect to find at a family-run taqueria off the beaten path. Rock en Español blaring from the sound system. Colorful papel picado draped from the ceiling. A framed Mexican flag and several references to the central Mexican municipality of Guanajuato. The intoxicating smell of spice-laced grilled beef wafting through the air. Simply put, we're not in Kansas anymore, Toto. I glanced at the menu. There are numerous, delicious-sounding items that happen to be wallet-friendly, a bit cheaper than if you were to go to Gringos or Jimmy Changas. According to a mutual, the tacos here are the main draw, but what really caught my attention and appetite was the ramen birria. Mujeres y caballeros (ladies and gentlemen), let me proclaim that Tacos Doña Lena turns a noodle dish with origins in Japan and is a known staple in college dorm rooms into a must-try on this part of America's fourth-largest city. Two amazing food cultures unite for a fiery meeting of the minds. Anchored by a rich, tasty consomé that's spicy but not enough to where you need to drink multiple glasses of water, there's a prime mix of ramen noodle, beef birria, cheese, fried egg, rabanos, garbazo, and corn accompanied by cilantro, onions, and a pair of fried tostadas. I was so impressed with how the contents of the ramen blended together. Since it was ramen after all despite the south of the border touchup, I still ate it the traditional way: pick up the noodles and sip the soup. There was so much that I had no choice but to put it in a takeout container. Sure, Spring Branch may be home to some great traditional Korean restaurants, but don't sleep on Tacos Doña Lena.

The gorditas were stuffed and they were so delicious, the cheese was melting and the bread was warm and not dry. The Quesadillas were my favorite. Furthermore, we mentioned having a queso coupon and when we were given the total I placed my card on the reader and I was told that I did it too fast and the queso wasn't taken off.
