I haven't been to Tacos A Go Go in years, and now I am not only remembering it fondly, but also determined to support it more. What's cool is it's near Double Trouble and Sig's Lagoon--so one could make an afternoon or early evening out of visiting these different establishments. I just wanted a beef fajita taco and bought a chicken quesadilla for a family member. The taco was great and so were the salsas--my favorite, as always, being salsa verde. I thought the quality of the beef was really good. Service was great. 5/5

It was good. I love that they have breakfast tacos all day. The tacos came out quickly. The agua frescas were good. Inside is cute. The cashier was fine. Not mean and not overly nice. Just ok. All in all, pretty good.

I went to Tacos a go go with a friend based on strong recommendations from another friend who lives in Houston and it was a big hit. We got a breakfast taco, horchata, beef birria tacos, and a trio of carne asada, carnitas, and (I think) refried beans tacos. Everything was so good! We sat outside for the weather and really enjoyed our time there. There was a bit of a wait for the food but good food takes time and staff were polite. This is an ideal casual dining spot.

I've been to this Tacos A Go Go a few times and it's a pretty solid taco place. I think the pricing is reasonable and my friends and I usually get full off of just two tacos. - Pollo Guisado (1.5/5): I always forget I don't like this taco and accidentally order it because it is listed as "A taco you must eat before you die". Personally, I don't understand the hype and I always regret ordering it. I find it to be very dry and lacking in flavor. Chicken tacos are usually dry in general, so I'm not too up in arms about that, but the flavor is just so weak. I feel like all I'm tasting is the tortilla when I'm eating it. - Pastor Taco (4/5): Tacos A Go Go makes a pretty solid pastor taco. Their pastor taco is very juicy and has a good tangy flavor. I like how they double-layer the tortilla so that the sauces don't seep through and make a mess. Overall just a pretty solid pastor taco. Service/Ambiance: This is a chill sit-down place to get tacos. It's never too crowded and there's plenty of seating. The restaurant is also very nicely decorated, which creates a really fun ambiance. I also like how they leave a bunch of different types of salsas and hot sauces out for people to use. Overall, the tacos here are pretty good for the price and it's a nice place to go if you want to have a sit-down meal! Also, don't get the Pollo Guisado!

I love these tacos. This should be your go to take out taco when you are down in the financial district. The place itself in one of the tunnel food courts. The restaurant is small with limited seating, but the food has flavors that are bold and the tacos are large. The food is delivered quickly, lines move fast, the staff is friendly but always busy. Everything is absolutely delicious. My recommendations are the shrimp and the brisket taco.

This place is kinda cute. We were hungry and tacos sounded good. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick. I had a grilled chicken taco and the pastor taco, both were good. I felt like the Pastor could've had more meat inside considering it was the most expensive out of our order, it was delicious though. Full of flavor. The chicken was good, nothing to rave about but it was decent, I'd have them both again. My husband had the grilled beef tacos. He liked them. His were full of meat. They have a salsa bar with different levels of heat individually contained. I also had a spicy margarita, frozen. Id never had a frozen spicy margarita before, only the ones on the rocks. It was really good. When we got there, it was karaoke going on, which was fun! We didn't participate, but we enjoyed listening. All the patrons seemed to be having a great time.

Okay misleading...as looking at the pictures and menu I thought I have finally found Mexican burritos, I don't know what is it about Texas they always have to put sour cream lettuce and tomato to burritos that's not how we do it in Mexico, so when I see a called Mexican restaurant sell the Tex nex version of burritos I get so mad No need to say anything else .... I mean the place is cool definitely reminded me of the market food back in Mexico but maybe I'll come back for the tacos this burrito ain't it

What are the margaritas made with if y'all don't serve liquor?

Tequila! We do serve alcohol at all locations except our One Shell Plaza location in the downtown tunnels. :)

Do you still have puffy tacos? If so, when and at what locations?

I’m sorry we don’t. :( While we had some die-hard fans, they just didn’t sell that well.

Are there any Taco Tuesday deals?

Hi Daisy. We offer a special taco of the month that you can only get on Taco Tuesdays. The Tacos de Mi Gente are special tacos created and shared by our staff - sometimes traditional Mexican fare and sometimes more of a Tex Mex offering. This… Read more

I heard they don't serve liquor but have mimosas... do they serve the mimosas through late night?

Yes. Until 2 am on Friday and Saturday nights. Sangria too. As well as beer of course!

    Is there somewhere to park?

Street parking is usually available but why risk a parking ticket or worse when the Mid Main Parking Garage is just across the street. Cheap parking if you're gonna stay and eat, but if you're just picking up a take out order , the parking garage… Read more

Allow me to be Review No. 1,100 following my visit to this wonderful culinary gem yesterday…read more By default, Spring Branch is Houston's Koreatown, but it's not unusual to find establishments with Spanish-language branding on them throughout the neighborhood. And Tacos Doña Lena, on which I'll heap tons of praise on, is among them. A group of friends and I had supper here before a live show down the street at Eighteen Ten Ojeman. Upon seeing the storefront when we pulled into the parking lot, my first thought was, "Okay, this is legit Mexican, not Tex-Mex." The interior is quite small with some tables and an ample late Saturday afternoon crowd. What caught my eye is how the environment is what you might expect to find at a family-run taqueria off the beaten path. Rock en Español blaring from the sound system. Colorful papel picado draped from the ceiling. A framed Mexican flag and several references to the central Mexican municipality of Guanajuato. The intoxicating smell of spice-laced grilled beef wafting through the air. Simply put, we're not in Kansas anymore, Toto. I glanced at the menu. There are numerous, delicious-sounding items that happen to be wallet-friendly, a bit cheaper than if you were to go to Gringos or Jimmy Changas. According to a mutual, the tacos here are the main draw, but what really caught my attention and appetite was the ramen birria. Mujeres y caballeros (ladies and gentlemen), let me proclaim that Tacos Doña Lena turns a noodle dish with origins in Japan and is a known staple in college dorm rooms into a must-try on this part of America's fourth-largest city. Two amazing food cultures unite for a fiery meeting of the minds. Anchored by a rich, tasty consomé that's spicy but not enough to where you need to drink multiple glasses of water, there's a prime mix of ramen noodle, beef birria, cheese, fried egg, rabanos, garbazo, and corn accompanied by cilantro, onions, and a pair of fried tostadas. I was so impressed with how the contents of the ramen blended together. Since it was ramen after all despite the south of the border touchup, I still ate it the traditional way: pick up the noodles and sip the soup. There was so much that I had no choice but to put it in a takeout container. Sure, Spring Branch may be home to some great traditional Korean restaurants, but don't sleep on Tacos Doña Lena.

Although I opted for enchiladas rojas. Intense garlic. Rice is too salty for my personal preference. Beans good. Enchiladas also more salty than my preference. But still enjoyable. I don't like cinnamon but the horchata was addicting and it paired so well with the food. My friend got their Melon Agua Fresca and he said it was really refreshing as well. The gorditas were stuffed and they were so delicious, the cheese was melting and the bread was warm and not dry. The Quesadillas were my favorite. You put both the red sauce and the green sauce on it, a lot of lime juice, and it's perfect. I forgot to order cilantro on mine but they do give you it at no extra cost. There's a parking lot, but we went on the weekend, and while the interior didn't look overly full, it was somewhat difficult to find a parking spot. The restaurant itself is clean. Everything is pretty much green and white. There's covered patio seating. You order from a window and there's a large menu printed nearby The menu offers all sorts of tacos, meats, burritos, bowls, quesadillas, quesabirras, sides, and even kids meals. You can get beer, margaritas, and non-alcoholic drinks. There's also a breakfast menu The food was good, and it didn't take too long to come out. My main issue was the service. The individual taking orders seemed to have a bit of an attitude and just seemed "over it." Furthermore, we mentioned having a queso coupon and when we were given the total I placed my card on the reader and I was told that I did it too fast and the queso wasn't taken off. The odd thing was, we walked away and realized that they didn't add the queso and the coupon was for free queso so they could have just rung up an additional queso. This individual had the vibe of eye rolling everything, and it honestly left a bad taste in my mouth Some tips: You can order online to avoid any wait. Just go up to the pick-up window when it's supposed to be ready for a painless interaction There's a little bar area where you can get pre-packaged (to-go) salsas, pickled onions, limes, etc etc etc. the salsas are tomatillo, habanero, and jalapeño (I believe) You can order margaritas to go, which we did!
