So creamy and flavorful, and the chips are always fresh and crispy. I got the Mr. Orange which is one of my favs, the salmon and combination of sauces is delicious! The trailer park honestly wasn't as good as I remembered, but I dipped it in the queso and still enjoyed! Tacos - baha shrimp is standard good (favorite one), trashy trail park (fried chicken second best), the hipster (secret menu fried fish third best), republican (beef brisket), green chile pork missionary style (secret menu but one of the least flavorful and monotonous taco, I thought I saw guacamole as part of the ingredient list but only later realized it's only the regular green chile pork that was ordered) the server and staff was super nice and able to remake the missionary style taco and they went above and beyond to accommodate it (love you torchys)! super sad that ace of spades went away though! I was visiting my best friend and I always hear her talk about how she's going to eat Torchy's Tacos so I decided we had to make a trip. Upon leaving the airport our first stop was to get a breakfast taco and ultimately decided to get some lunch items as well (it was around 11AM). I ordered the Wrangler which had brisket, eggs, cheese and potatoes and a Baja shrimp taco with a chipotle sauce. Additionally I got the taco of the month, The Churroscoe which had fried chicken, a churro, a fried egg and a bourbon bacon marmalade served with Diablo sauce. I also tried the street corn. The brisket breakfast taco was incredible and filling it was stuffed with delicious brisket along with the hearty potato and cheesy eggs paired with the tomatillo salsa it was absolutely amazing. I also enjoyed the Baja shrimp taco as well which had an explosion of flavors and a nice fresh bite to it. The Churroscoe was my least favorite as it was really sweet and also just didn't look the most appealing but still creative and tasted well overall. The street corn was really good with lots of flavor and paired well with the Baja taco. I thoroughly enjoyed stopping here and will be doing so in the future when I visit. read more

They didn't warn me the beef would be rare. (I'm pregnant). The fried avocado taco was not something I'd get again. The tacos good but they have increased their prices and for 1 taco it"s very expensive. If you order 2 tacos your already at $12 dollars without a drink or side. SO need I say I would rather go somewhere that has a drink included or a side for that price. Not only were they attentive and fast with our order, but they always had a smile on their face and they were always happy to help. When I went to fill my fountain drink the Coke zero was empty so my mom told Lupe and within five minutes she had it fixed. While trying to avoid stuck in the single lane on Shepherd and Westheimer, I decided to make a sharp turn into Torchy's Tacos parking lot. Yeah. I was glad that I did. The food here was much healthier than other fast-food restaurants. I only spent less than $10 to get one Mr. Orange Taco (6.15) and a bowl of Refried Beans ($2.95). My meal looked small but it sure filled me up. I was quite satisfied with customer service. I didn't catch his name but he was funny to tell me the size of the taco. Arrived at 8:55 which is not ideal. Completely understandable... as they close at 9:30 However I was stopped at the door, and asked what I needed in a rude manner. Clearly everyone was upset I was there, as there was no welcoming environment or friendly mood. Nevertheless, I wanted to place a to go order. I placed my order and waited patiently at the door, as employees were bustling, cleaning the place before close. I waited no more than 10 min, and was handed a bag. Since I was very hungry, I decided to eat in my car. The tacos were COLD. The entire food was cold. I accepted my fate that I might accidentally get food poisoning, as I was hungry and had no choice. What's sad, is that the employees made no attempt to even heat the food, let alone use a microwave. Again, I get that I arrived 40min to close, but the general rule of thumb is don't come 10min before close. This place needs an overhaul on employees and training on customer service. I would say that this place is really good. I wouldn't say it's my favorite taco place. But the queso there is the best I've ever had. I would've given them a higher rating if there was one table available that wasn't dirty. It doesn't look like they clean a lot and what we had to clean up our table which had sauces spilled everywhere and empty bottles and plates which i was not thrilled with. the wait for food is not long though. We ordered, trailer park extra trashy, fiesta steak and a democrat taco. Along with chips & queso, kids quesadilla and street corn. Trailer park was ok at best. The way people were recommending it left and right was nowhere to be found. The taco was ok - 5/10. The rest of the two were good enough to make the entire experience worthwhile. Chips & queso and the street corn were the stars of the show. They were mind boggingly delicious. When I visit next time, that's all I'd probably get. As I was starving, I had ordered a couple Trashy Trailer Park tacos and a chips and queso. The first thing I noticed upon entering was the smell. Although it didn't permeate the entire building, it was pretty strong by the cashier's stand close to the bathrooms. Now, I have been to this Torchy's a few times since, and the bathrooms are definitely quite clean. So I'm not sure why there's a smell, but it's been there every time. The food itself has always been spectacular, including on my first day. The chicken tenders in the tacos were so crispy on the outside and yet tender on the inside, and the queso on top made it incredibly flavorful. I highly recommend using the poblano sauce as well as it complements the taco and makes it sing so well. The actual queso was everything I'd hoped for - warm, creamy, packed with various flavors. With the hot sauce and guacamole in the middle, it was a roller coaster in each bite. Overall, it's a great spot to grab food for a night in. The menu is fairly big, so take your time picking out something you like! I've been to this location several times in the past year so i finally decided to review it. Let me start by making it clear that these are some bomb a** tacos. The crossroads is my absolutely favorite; the beef brisket is insane and has little crispy bits in it. Baja shrimp is another great choice, relatively lighter than some of the others. The fried avocado is another must try even if you are not a vegetarian. They get a good crunch on the avocado and it is surprisingly filling for a veggie option. Their breakfast tacos are solid, migas is really good and has crunchy chips mixed in. Whatever you get make sure to try the diablo sauce. It's bright orange and has a ton of flavor for a pretty spicy sauce. So why 3 stars and ive raved about the food? They are a little on the pricier side compared to some other taco places. The servers are super nice but service can be veryyyyy slowww. This is not a great go to when you are in a rush or starving. read more

I used to love Torchys Tacos until they just ruined the Potato Egg and Cheese breakfast taco. The potoato has been changed from a delicious seasoned pan roasted potato to a tater tot that is basically tastless. So disappointed that I no longer have my favorite breakfast to enjoy.
