I've been here a dozen or more times since the first review so I think I should give them their flowers. Now that I'm more familiar with their menu, their food and prices are actually pretty good. I've been mixing it up but lately I've been getting the taco shell bowl and essentially filling it up with the good stuff I like. You can get just the salad without a shell too but the shell is more fun. Their fish tacos are also really good. We stopped by after a doctors appointment in the same building. It smelled amazing so we decided that we would stop by. Easy to order and menu was easy to read. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Service was quick and easy, the vibe inside is welcoming and warm. We decided to eat outside since it was a nice day and honestly it was a mix evibe. Food came out, we ordered a build your own quesadilla and the #8 enchiladas. Both were so good and filling, pricing was very reasonable. Something we would normally pay anywhere else, we thought it would be pricy since it's the medical center and so close to the children's museum but honestly it was very reasonably priced. My friend recommended me to Bodegas Taco Shop because it's near the zoo. I think it was fairly good to eat here as many elites gave 4 stars or above. Considering we came before the lunch rush hour. We were lucky to find parking right in front of the restaurant. Well, I had to pay at zone 47744. The restaurant was pretty clean at that time. But the cashier was throwing ice cubes at the line workers. They exchanged words in Spanish. Ah, so playful. Food came out and I didn't pay attention to see when we got our taco plates . But the beans and rice were in tiny portions like in sauce cups. I guess the portion was okay. The beans were soupy, fork can't get everything from the cup. So, I chugged down into my mouth. Great lunch spot for the family/friends if you're hungry coming back or going to the park! It was a beautiful day so we ate outside in the patio. My fish taco combo plate was delicious. I was introduced to this location by a bike group and this is often their pit stop. I had a chance this week to stop by again and I always order the Chicken Enchilada plate. This time I tried the Cadillac Margarita with a top shelf tequila of your choice. Parking is not great, but they do have a parking garage. I recommend parking on the street. They make your food in front of you, which is always great. The portions are generous as you can see! They are located in a medical area near the museums. Great spot to hang out with a very large group of friends! It can be very hard to coordinate last minute gatherings and Bodegas made it easy! The service was timely, the food was tasty and the interior was lovely and clean. I liked the ceiling lights that reminded me of the holidays! Are taco Thursdays a thing? Stopped in and ordered the shrimp tacos with a side of flautas. The flautas were okay. The chicken was very dry, so I'm glad I had salsa and sour cream and guacamole to help them out. The shrimp tacos were ok, I did ask for some salsa to spice it up a bit. A rare place to eat that is not a museum cafe in the museum district. Though I would probably eat here after going to a museum, since it feels so good to have some tacos after a long day there. I only tried the fish tacos so I can't speak to the other meats, but I liked it! Don't know how they did the fish but it is so good with the salsa. Beans were the best I've ever had. It was plenty for me, and price wise, definitely cheaper to get the fish taco combo than ordering per. This is a great place! It is super convenient to go after going to the museum, or from the medical center. It is designed similarly to a Mo's or a Chipotle, but it has so many different flavors. I got the build your own bowl with ground beef and cilantro lime rice and black beans. I added some delicious pico, lettuce, and some of the creamy cilantro spicy salsa. I then added some tomatillo salsa as well (I am a salsa aficionado, what can I say). The salsa was all delicious, and very fresh. They have probably about 15 different salsa options, too, which is fun. I am dying to try them all! My husband got a bowl as well in the tortilla, and it was also delicious. We also got a frozen margarita pitcher, which was great! It has lots of flavor and is affordable. This would be a great place to come back with a group! In fact, there were lots of groups there. Probably the closest restaurant to the Natural History Museum. On the inside, it looked more like a small food court where there are a few small restaurants available. When went in it was semi busy about 12ish lunch time. by the time I got my food it was busy. The did get my order wrong but it was a good wrong if that makes any sense. I had 3 tacos, 2 with chicken, 1 with beef fajita. The food was pretty good, but these places get better the more you eat here because you discover all the possible things to add to your meal and learn all the sauces. I also saw that you can order fresh fajita, which always looks good. Inside, there are plenty of tables and booths, so you won't have any problems finding seating even for a party of 6!
