    Fajita Nachos these ALWAYS hit!!

Much like the storm is named for, Cyclone Anayas NEVER misses. A friend told me to pick the spot I wanted to be taken to lunch to I said this INSTANTLY. No question. I had the fajitas because I literally cannot bring myself to order anything else from the menu, which I'm SURE is all delicious- I haven't ever graduated from it. I DID get the Brussels sprouts that were AMAZING and I had a watermelon margarita with tajin rim- YESSSSLAWD! You can't make me say anything bad about the food, the place or the service- I wish it was closer to me, but we can't have everything can we? Lol Alright, let's wrap this up like I wrapped the beef fajita meat and onions and guacamole and Pico in that perfect flour tortilla...... #2025BIGBACKAPPROVED!!!

Came here with four friends for a Sunday lunch, and even though it wasn't busy, the service was slow and a bit scattered. Our server was swapped without explanation. We took a little time deciding what to order because the menu was huge, and I wasn't expecting a brunch section with that many options. But once we ordered, things got confusing. We asked for shrimp quesadillas multiple times, but beef ones came out instead. We were too hungry to send them back, and thankfully the portion was generous enough to share. The ceviche with lump crab was way too acidic and didn't have much flavor, but everyone who ordered the chicken and waffles really liked their meal. I got the salmon, which came with three large shrimp, glazed Brussels sprouts, and Cajun spinach. The sprouts were solid, the spinach was sautéed but not really flavorful, and the salmon was cooked to the perfect level of juiciness, though overall the glaze tasted salty. Our server did tell us about the 99¢ brunch mimosas. They weren't listed anywhere on the menu, so I was glad she mentioned it. I'll probably come back just for that deal, especially on another slow Sunday with friends. All in all, it was A-ok, but what dampened it most was the inattentiveness of our waitress. I could better understand if the place was busy. My friend's sangria sat at the bar for a while, and we had to keep asking for basic things like water refills, our checks and to go boxes. For a slow Sunday, I expected better.

I really enjoyed Anayas. The sever was excellent - prompt, attentive, and friendly. We started with their tortilla chips (light and crisp) and salsa which tasted really fresh. And we added a generous cup of queso. I also had the ceviche which was outstanding with fish, shrimp, and scallops in lime juice with just the right amount of red onion and cilantro. For the main course I had beef tacos al carbon and my wife had chicken fajitas al carbon which were both very good. The restaurant is nicely, if simply, decorated. The seating was clean and comfortable. Overall, definitely recommend.

Took a chance & came to see what this place is like and I must say it was sooo delicious! Our server Jazz helped us with the menu since it was our first visit. We ordered fresh guacamole which was so good as she prepared it at our table. It was soo yummy! The bottomless chips made it too easy to enjoy the salsa, queso & guacamole! I ordered the Cyclone combo Summer special that was very tasty and filling. My other family member ordered cyclone tacos. Each dish so full of flavor and fresh. Was too full for dessert but my husband had the flan-OMG! The flan was a mix of coconut & caramel custard. Soo delicious! Worth every bite and the service was great!! Service, Food & the ambiance was perfect for our evening dinner. Thanks Jazz for your excellent service!

Okay so the fish tacos were pretty good but i feel like they were missing some flavor from the fish and batter itself. Most of the flavor came from the veggies on top so I had to put some cilantro lime sauce on top which made them good. The salsa that came with the chips were really good smoky kinda spicy and chunky. The tacos also carbon my boyfriend got were very greasy, but the meat was pretty dry, had no flavor. The rice was not fully cooked was still hard and they came out cold. The spinach that came with my dish I initially thought were good but after a few bites found it to be very salty. Now the bolillos were good kinda reminded me on beignets lmao. And the drinks were good nothing too special. But the decide was good our server was attentive and friendly but personally don't think we would come back.

We had a pretty large group get together, in the middle of a rain storm no less, and this restaurant handled it swimmingly. There were winds and a brief power outage and as mentioned, rain, but through it all the service was impeccable. The space was large and tastefully decorated, with a bar area and a main dining area. There was also a glass barrier behind which the kitchen was visible. For a place that was so busy, the service was extremely fast and caring. Our server was extremely attentive and amiable and we never had an empty glass at any moment. If we needed something, someone was alway ready to help. And the food. It was amazinggggg! I have been in search of perfect empanadas for a long while- and these were pretty darn close! The chicken empanadas (listed as a starter, but substantial enough to make a main dish) had a golden crispy shell and a luscious rich filling. The echilada combo plate was also very tasty, the cheesy sauces complementing the stronger meat flavors. The meal was perfectly ended with the tres leches slice (which was complementary for the birthday celebration). Definitely a new favorite spot!

Guacamole from the happy hour menu which happy hour is til 7 which is very much unheard of.

Impressed as soon as I stepped closer to door and a staff member opened it for us and greeted us with a smile. The service was phenomenal and it was obvious the staff genuinely enjoyed their job and took pride in it. Food was 10/10 from the presentation to the last bite. Ambience was truly appreciated and enjoyed seeing managers interact with EVERYONE!

Came here to hang with family! Service was excellent and food was great. I think the server replaced our chips like 4 times! The food was good as well, I got the quesadillas pictured! Definitely would recommend coming!

Walking into the place. The décor lighting is very warm.I see space for big parties and small parties. There's bar availability. They also have half booths.Looks like they have a private party area. The open kitchen , you can see the kitchen and they recommend the salmon. Order , it took me about three minutes to get help on my door dash , and then she went to go grab it

If you're looking for a cool, vibey spot to grab happy hour, Cyclone is a great option. My neighbors and I stopped by for happy hour when Cyclone first opened, and another time for lunch and both experiences were a 3.5/4 star experience. Both times we went, I got tableside guacamole & chips, and veggie fajita platter. Both servings were quite large so you'll be well fed if you get both. I don't drink so I can't comment on the drinks but they have some great happy hour deals and my friends raved about the margaritas. I also enjoyed their outside patio area as it made the experience cozy. The service both times was impeccable so the staff surely goes above and beyond for patrons.

Took my nephew to cyclone anayas for his 14 th bday. There were 7 of us and everyone loved the food! We ordered the huge family platter fajitas - LOBSTER/ shrimp/ chicken/ beef/ spicy pork sausage all on the platter cooked to perfection ( maybe the lobster was over cooked but still delicious.) Mike was our waiter he was great and he suggested the family platter & I have to say it was definitely the most economical choice for the table! The queso and guacamole delicious and the tres leches was decadent! Thank u cyclone for making my nephews bday dinner so enjoyable!

Dried up tortilla/corn, hard as a rock. Had to heat up my diced up kids meat separately

Ordered to go from this place and it was the ABSOLUTE WORSE! Never again. I had ordered the combo fajitas to go, paid an extra $4 to make it mix combo of chicken and beef, and asked for tortilla and corn. When I received my order and opened the container, my corn/tortilla was already wrapped, and all the meat was diced. How in the world am I supposed to eat fajitas with diced meat when clearly I was supposed to receive strips of meat? This looks like a kids plate, meat was barely there for what I paid for, this was about $35 already. This is so laughable. The tortilla and corn was all dried up like a rock. Normally you should place tortillas rolled up in a foil. Never again shall I order to go, this restaurant CHEAPS you out on everything. Chipotle would've been better

This location is relatively new, and it is a great addition to the neighborhood. The restaurant is big and has a small outdoor seating area. Once seated, my table was given a complimentary bowl of chips with salsa. Aside from the regular lunch menu, brunch menu is available on the weekends from 11am to 3pm. I ordered the ahi tuna tacos with the tamarind glazed brussel sprouts and refried black beans as sides. My tacos were amazing. The soft tacos were nicely done, and the vegetables and tuna were fresh. The sauce on the tacos was amazing too. I highly recommend the Brussel sprouts. They were insanely good. When in a Tex-Mex restaurant, it is a must to have a glass of margarita. I got The Super Cyclone on the rocks which had the right balance of flavors. My party received excellent service today. Our server, Rafa, checked on us periodically and he was so kind to let my party of four to split checks. My party had a great dining experience. I'm sure I will be back. There is complimentary valet parking but self parking is also available in the big parking lot.

It's in the Museum District/Montrose area, so pretty accessible and with plenty of parking. We got seated immediately, and there was a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating, the latter of which was great even on a humid day. The menu was pretty extensive with your Tex-Mex classics like fajitas and enchiladas, with a special for every day of the week. This time was a free upgrade to a large fajita, so I went with the chicken fajitas! It came out after about 20 minutes with all of the fixings and this very yummy buttery sauce. I haven't had too many fajitas, but I'm pretty confident this is a top spot!

The beef was good as well and it was cooked to like a medium rare. The chicken was okay it lacked depth.

I had been to the restaurant before, had fajitas and they were served bloody raw and was just disgusting so I Never went back. We mentioned where we were planning to go to some of the staff members and they said do not go there and that it was too expensive for the type of Mexican food that they serve you. Then they all suggested Maria Rita's. My wife and I had never heard of it before so we asked where it was and it was located 2min down the street. When we got there it was packed, but we decided to thug it out and wait for a table, this also gave us time to troll the parking lot and land a killer parking spot as people left. We finally got the notice that our table was ready. The inside was clean, awesome and had a savory aroma mixed with a Smokey grill Oder that just made us even more hungry than we already were. We both ordered this dish that came with fajitas and bacon wrapped shrimp with a cheese sauce that was Truly Amazing! When I finally was able to take a bite of one of the four gigantic shrimp after I completely destroyed my fajitas, I thought that I was going to pass out from the ecstasy that the flavor profile from that shrimp that overwhelmed my senses! After having concerns after at the 45 minute wait mark that I saw several parties come in after us and get seated before us, I asked at the front counter and was told that we were 5th in line. Another 20 mins come and go, and I watch another party get seated much faster than us. I also watched countless parties walking in and just going to seat themselves in the bar area which I had asked about numerous times and was told no, that it was not self seating so we had to wait. Also watched many parties say they were a party of four and then have 8+ people and need a second table and it was accommodated. A big wow, I'm irritated moment was when a group of our own friends got seated before us and I had texted them 10 minutes after we got here telling them it was only a 45 minute line and then they had to walk here, putting them here at least 30 minutes after we were and they got seated long before us. At this point, I talked to the general manager about it and he told me he would go find out what was happening, but also told me that most of the tables in the restaurant we were set for large parties so because we were a small party we had to wait. He also admitted that many parties had joined together and had not notified the staff until being seated so that was pushing us back. I asked him how that was fair and shouldn't they be moved to the back of the line or denied the second table since people had been waiting literal hours for those tables? He told me he would be right back after he checked and of course he never came back. This conversation really made me watch even more that And I saw that tables that had already gotten their food were calling over friends from the cheer competition that they knew and then asking the they could grab the empty small tables near them and they were being told yes. So in essence, the manager was correct.... the big tables were unavailable to us because we are only a party of three and the small tables were also unavailable to us because they were allowing big parties to grab the small tables and bump all of us down. I heard it countless servers complained that people had just gotten in our station and were told just to serve them anyways. After waiting an hour and 45 minutes, we asked again and even though it had been a full hour since I last asked and were told that we were fifth in line they said there were four people in front of us... so it essentially meant that we hadn't moved up at all in placement . I finally spoke to another man who seated us within 10 minutes and told us that we would be able to order fast so we could be in and out of here in less than an hour.... Yet we saw another 20 minutes before anyone even came by our table. The food was decent at best. Lack of flavor was a big issue. Not worth the wait at all. Our waiter was nice which was good since everyone else was incredibly rude. One member of our party got something else rather than what she ordered and we did not have time to correct it however were shocked when we saw the price was over double than what she had actually ordered. The cheese enchiladas have meat in the sauce which defeats the purpose and when I had asked about vegetarian options when I got there, the cheese enchiladas were recommended and the vegetarian in our party ended up not being able to eat after waiting over 2 hours. Our fault for not waiting for menus since we were going to be VERY late, but why a staff member recommended it as vegetarian is beyond me... staff should either be familiar with the menu or say they do not know as allergies and things like being a vegetarian are non negotiable when it comes to food. Prices were super high for what we got. Got WAY more food for less at Ninfas and their food was a billion times better.

Parking can be challenging on weekends, but there is complimentary valet and a few extra spots in a lot across the street. There's interior and exterior seating, with cozy booths and tables. Service is friendly. Chips and salsa: Superica has some of my favorite chips, crispy and thin and perfectly fried. The avocado crema salsa and warm serrano pepper salsas are delicious with a mild kick. The bottled red salsa is fresh and green salsa packs a nice punch. Migas: Scrambled eggs with tortilla chips and cheese, choice of chicken versus chorizo on top, finished with fresh avocado. I really enjoyed this combination and the generous portion for the price. The eggs are well scrambled without being dry, and the pairing with cheese is proportional. The chicken was a touch dry, but some salsa solved that well. I enjoyed stuffing each component into a fresh tortilla and devouring it as a breakfast taco. Refried beans and rice: Really delicious. The refried beans are of the smoother variety without as much chunkiness, which I prefer, and topped with creamy cheese. I could have used a touch more tomato in the rice, but overall enjoyed the texture and flavor. Patatas with salsa roja, topped with egg: I enjoyed the flavors in this dish, but there was sooo much salsa. The potatoes were thus a little soggy, though still cooked well. The over medium egg was cooked nicely and complemented the potatoes with creamy yolk. Bacon: Really generous portion for $7 as a side, and cooked well. Crispy potatoes: I enjoy that these are fingerling potatoes smashed and roasted, but they could be crispier. They seem to be on the blander side on purpose to allow seasoning to taste, and I really like pairing them with the red bottled salsa provided at each table (probably due to their association with ketchup). Hotcakes: The literal star of every brunch, these hotcakes are consistently delicious. They're massive yet somehow cooked perfectly through so that they're fluffy and soft on the inside and just with a slight crunch on the outside. The pairing of the creamy warm (!!!) maple syrup is heavenly. Because of how huge these are, usually one is enough to share between two people, although they also come in stacks of two and three. For reference, we finished 3/4 of three between four healthy and hungry people and it wasn't for lack of trying. Whenever I crave weekend brunch, Superica is always a top option.

So if you don't want to pay for valet you would have to park a little further out behind the building. We started off with their Chile con Queso. Anytime I visit Houston, ordering fajitas is a must. We did just that, ordered half steak half chicken. Most places however sell it by the pound, here it seemed you only got one option and it came with one side of rice and beans. Everywhere else I've ordered these, they serve it family style. Usually everyone at your table gets their own rice and beans. No here though. Here the fajitas are offered as an individual entree. The food was very delicious though. Both the chicken and the beef were seasoned snd cooked perfectly. The chicken was very tender and the beef had a nice char to it. The grilled onions were also very tasty. Overall we were really satisfied. It is a bit on the pricey side compared to other Tex Mex, and the unnecessary use of valet utilizing the parking lot through me off a bit. Not sure I'd return on my next visit, especially when I've already enjoyed other experiences a little more. At the least the food here is delicious and ultimately will always be the most important thing.

It was my first time trying out Tex mex style. It was so busy on a Saturday evening. The chips that were given to each table was incredibly warm and the sauces paired so well. I ordered the el manarco which is this giant piece of steak that was well charred, included this avacado and seafood grit sauce, rice + soup + gauconole/salsa. They gave me 4 giant house made tortillas which was also fresh and warm. This meal can be finished by two people. Definitely come here on an empty stomach and the portions are absolutely massive.

I just had the Machacado con Huevo breakfast dish here and it was so incredibly good-So good! it was one of the best breakfasts Ive ever had. seriously.I will definitely be back for this breakfast. I recommend getting it with red and green sauce on the side and a side of tortillas ro make your own tacos with the eggs, salsa and refried beans. just wow! And that tamale needs its own menu. That tamale was amazing. I would get several orders of that soft white tamale by itself to go. And the service was a 10/10. They kept refilling my red and green sauce and kept checking up on me throughout. Ambience was great as always. Its a life changing dish. Thanks Teotihuacan for the great breakfast and great service! Yall deserve a well-earned review!
