So happy Tacos a Go Go is now in the Heights! Since this location only recently opened it was packed this weekend. Parking is hit or miss, but you should be able to find a spot! The ambience inside is awesome - love the colors, bar, and all the seating. The line was quite long and it did take some time for our tacos to come out, but we ordered the chips and queso and it was delicious (which I don't usually say about queso). I got the beef fajita taco which I did not think was too good, and the chicken fajita taco which I liked more. Either way, for the price you pay, it's still pretty solid. We will DEFINITELY be back here soon!

Alright I'm just gonna be straightforward as I have been a huge fan of Tacos a go go for the past 10 years.... This location specifically has increased the house frozen margaritas to $10 and is poured in a 11oz cocktail glassware.... The other multiple locations have their frozen listed at $8 and is poured into a 16 oz cup..... the original white oak location prior to moving here was the same price as the others.... So what's going on... Not cool! Tacos a go go has become a staple in the Houston community and understand that inflation plays a part because 6-8 years ago their house frozen was only $4! But for $10 at this location I'd rather take my business elsewhere and go to Tex Mex cuisine and pay traditional prices versus a bottom frozen here specifically. Also the famous frozen Paloma is not offered here and has been replaced with a mezcal house frozen or mangonada house frozen starting at $12 in a 11oz glass.... Anyways the pros.... Food menu is the same and parking is slightly better..... Rating 1/5 I don't see myself coming back here tbh but I encourage you to try it for yourself. David

I was able to visit this new location this past weekend and it did not disappoint. I got their chicken quesadillas, Tex-Mex chicken tacos and birria taco. Everything was delicious, but my favorite had to be the birria taco and quesadilla. Both were so flavorful and made to perfection. The manager was extremely helpful in picking what items to get from the menu and even added a complementary fountain drink. I also have to add how unique and cool the interior design is. I will take a pic next time but it felt you went back in the 80s with the way they had a retro vibe going. I can't wait to comeback and try everything else!

$10 frozen margarita. What a joke.

I love Tacos a GoGo. Breakfast tacos and a margarita from TaGG has been a Saturday morning tradition of mine for years. The food at this new location is the same as other locations, which is to say really good, but the drinks are a joke. I bought a 'rita on the rocks last week, and it was barely a sip. It was more ice than drink. I thought it may have been a one off mistake, after all, they just opened this location. Nope. They do the same with the frozen as well, as I unfortunately just discovered. They jacked up prices by 30%, and they give you 30% less... and it literally couldn't be more transparent. I would have been fine paying more for the same thing, but this is unacceptable. What a catastrophically stupid move. EDIT: I appreciate the owner's response, however: 1) Both the frozen and the rocks tasted exactly the same as before; and, 2) "You know what I'm craving? Two sips of a responsibly sourced craft margarita... for $10... at Tacos a GoGo," said no one, EVER. All that said, the food and service remain excellent, and I'm still coming for tacos. Just not margs.

Migas

This place use to be the best when it came to Miga Tacos. Last few visits all I would get is egg and cheese. This time I decided to try the Migas plate. It was very disappointing as well. I got nothing but egg with melted cheese no corn tortillas mixed in the eggs. Would I come back? Definitely would it is a great place, food is always hot and delicious. I just would never ever get the migas plate or tacos again. It is a very disappointing item on the menu.

Yummy food!

Love the new location and decor! Everything was delicious and service was amazing. This will definitely be our go to that's very walkable in the Heights! We needed a place like this! Yay!

CASH ONLY!! Best…read moreTacos in Houston. Taconazo is the pride and staple of Northside. Always a long line but it so worth it. Barbacoa and pastor is easily the best I've ever had. Horchata is not too shabby either. Doesn't taste grainy. Speedy service. Reasonable price. Keep in mind the "Platos/ Plato Regular, etc." are plates of carne. Ideal for taking home.

Alert: Cash Only…read more I've passed this taco truck countless times and almost always seen a line stretching from the window. There's even a security guard on site, which only adds to the impression that this place is fire. So when I happened to drive by on a 100-degree afternoon and found no line, I took it as a sign to finally give it a try. The small parking lot adjacent to the truck was nearly empty, except for a few other patrons who probably had the same idea. Ordering was simple and to the point. The menu keeps things straightforward: a selection of meats served as tacos or plates with a handful of sides. I ordered two barbacoa tacos with salsa verde. Less than two minutes after placing my order, they were in my hands. Fast service on a scorching day is always appreciated. With no seating available, I retreated to the comfort of my car to eat. Based on the amount of grease packed into these tacos, I would recommend doing the same. Eating them while standing could end with your shirt becoming an unintended side dish. One thing to note: don't count on a generous napkin supply. I realized after returning to my car that none were included. Consider keeping a few emergency fast-food napkins in your glove compartment. Those leftover Taco Bell napkins may finally fulfill their destiny. The barbacoa was flavorful, the salsa verde complemented it well, and overall, the tacos were overall tasty. That said, I left somewhat underwhelmed considering the crowds I routinely see gathered here during lunch and dinner hours. Perhaps I'm missing the standout item that keeps customers lining up daily. Even so, if you happen to have cash in your pocket and find yourself craving authentic tacos, this truck is certainly worth a stop.

I'm from Katy; this east part of Houston is very new to me. I don't know where to go for food here, but I for sure now know where to go for Trompo Tacos! The trompo here was bomb! I was in the city for a wine fest and needed tacos to tame my hunger from all the wine sipping. Tacos Las Sultana popped up, and the pictures of the trompo looked insane. After going, I can confirm the trompo looked even better than the pictures. Shout out to the chef cutting up fresh trompo I ordered some tacos de trompo to go, with avocado. The order of tacos came with a side of grilled onions and potatoes. I have never had roasted potatoes with my tacos; they were tasty and very buttery. Dude, the way they packaged their tacos... never have I seen tacos from a taco truck packaged so nicely. They wrap everything and even package their salsa. Very clean, very organized This place is over an hour away from me. After eating here I will gladly make the hour drive for this bomb trompo They have a parking lot and street parking available. They have limited seating available inside. They take cash and Venmo payment
