Food is always outstanding at this place, the menu changed a bit recently and that was refreshing. The service is also outstanding and the waiting staff is very well trained to tend to all of the guests needs. The ambiance is nice, dim lights but you can still read the menu and it's also kid friendly. They had a display for Christmas going out outside that I was able to check out, and an ice rink. Very cute and entertaining. The only thing about this place is threat bathroom location, to access it you have to exit the restaurant and go across the hall to access it, minor inconvenience.

Kid's Chicken Quesadilla with extra cheese and fries (5 stars)

For our splurge dinner in Austin, we booked Ciclo, a Latin American seafood-steakhouse place located in the bottom level of the Four Seasons. My wife loves seafood, and the other reason we chose Ciclo was for the grilled octopus, which our son ate the night before at Ezov. Ciclo also sports a pretty big kid's menu as well. They also serve breakfast and brunch. The restaurant is gorgeous and has an even pretty outdoor patio with stringed lights and well-maintained gardens. The food and service were both exceptional, and I'm not saying that since one of the friendly waiters looks like he could bench 500-lbs. You have to watch out for appetizers and sides since they can fill you up quickly: * Rosemary Popovers with Eggplant Dip are worth getting - crispy, fluffy, and savory. * Sweet corn empanadas have a nice savory cheesy filling with that sweet corn but its definitely very filling with that thick, crispy crust. * Potato three ways are a creative mix of whipped potatoes and chips, and maybe a third variation I missed. Again, a bit heavy so be sure to share. * Grilled asparagus is definitely worth getting - plump and healthy. * Yes Spanish Grilled Octopus was even better than the one from Ezov, but our son refused to try it. Toddlers and their picky appetite - SMH. For the entrees * Kid's Chicken Quesadilla (extra cheese) and fried were superb, and was a dish even adults can enjoy. Everything served piping hot and so crispy. * Sakura Pork chop was a bone-on cut was cooked perfectly. * The absolute best dish was the Mariscos Macho - a seafood lover's dream with large pieces of seabass, yucca, whole tomatoes, and even more of that awesome octopus. It had a small amount of broth so its literally a dish to be enjoyed using fork, and not some soupy cioppino or fishermen stew with tiny morsels of seafood. * Definitely save room for dessert - highly recommend the passionfruit tart for some noce balance of sweet and tart.

We were pleasantly surprised that for a hotel restaurant the prices were fairly reasonable. The food and service were great. Their outdoor area is gorgeous and would have been lovely if the weather was better. The sweet corn empanadas were yum.

WOW. The service and food were incredible. I actually got lost trying to find the place at first, but it's tucked one floor down from the lobby at the Four Seasonsworth.. The hamachi tiradito was on the smaller side (as expected), but it was packed with that classic Nikkei flavor. The Cusco chicken, though... insane. Huge portion, ridiculously flavorful, and I could honestly drink the sauce. My server, Jon, was unbelievably kind and attentive. I don't think I've ever had someone go above and beyond like that. Can't wait to come back.

The place is nice. Inside the 4 seasons hotel so we expected lavish and got it. Looks like a great place to visit in the spring with its outdoor seating and welcoming aesthics. The service was OK. We felt forgotten at a point and that made us pay closer attention rather than just be in the moment. We ordered the Caesar salad, tomato & burrata salad, filet mignon, smoked ribeye, mushrooms & lobster Mac and cheese. The filet mignon was good. The smoked ribeye was too smokey. It seemed like the smoke of an old fashioned. The temp and cut were great though. Just too smokey. The Mushrooms were great. With the lobster Mac and cheese, noodles were perfect but the cheese was too loose for my liking. The lobster part was sweet and not dried. I wish there was more lobster throughout rather than a few pieces on top..The drinks were great. We had the white cranberry Cosmo and the living spirit. Overall this was not what we expected for what we paid but I'm sure others really enjoyed it & by the looks of it, this is a happening spot.

Ambiance: 5/5: We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful view and weather. It was a very calm brunch experience. Service: 4/5: Our waiter was nice and checked on us often. Food: 3/5: The food was ok. Nothing mind-blowing, but it wasn't bad. We ordered the enchiladas, which weren't spicy at all, the pancakes, and the chicken & waffles. Portions were pretty small. Definitely overpriced. Could probably grab same items at a different brunch spot for way cheaper and tastier. Drinks: 3/5: Ordered a carajillo and it was fine. If you want a calm restaurant with a nice view this is your spot. Other than that don't really recommend it.

Fantastic Sunday brunch at Ciclo! The crab eggs Benedict and prime rib were both delicious, and the service from Gihvon, Ava, Liz, and Seth was exceptional as always. One of the best brunch spots around!

Ciclo is really good! Went there after getting engaged and it was beautiful sitting outside. You get a nice view of the walking trail and water and a view of any of the installations the hotel has up. The staff is very friendly and prompt. We didn't wait long for our food at all. I think this is a good option if you're looking for a "lowkey" brunch spot. What I Got: - Chicken and Waffles: This was yummy! The chicken doesn't have the taste of traditional fried chicken but it was very good. The waffle is cut in half, so you get half a waffle and two chicken breasts. It was filling and I didn't finish feeling stuffed. - Hippie Salad: This was really good! I got my salmon made well-done and it was cooked to perfection. The salad was light and still hearty at the same time with the added protein from the fish and chickpeas. I believe there is some type of vinegarette on top, not sure. Either way it was 10/10.

Tuna Tostada (GF, DF) sesame-guajillo sauce + fresno emulsion + pearl onion + crispy leek + cilantro

We started with the Fredericksburg Roasted Peaches Salad (GF) baby spinach + cranberries + red apple + goat cheese + spiced pecan & honey dressing, which we ordered another one as it was so phenomenal. We wanted one with our entrées as well. The corn empanadas were good but the Tuna Tostada (GF, DF) sesame-guajillo sauce + fresno emulsion + pearl onion + crispy leek + cilantro was the most excellent For dinner we had the steak tartare along with several of the fillets. Not only were the steaks cooked to perfection. The garlic served on top of them, and the béarnaise sauce was just the icing on the cake. The sides were excellent, although the mashed potatoes were overworked and sloppy as in soupy. However, the fingerling potatoes and brussels sprouts meet us forget about the mashed potatoes. Beverages in service were outstanding. This is always one of my favorite places in Austin.

Solid breakfast menu. Pricing on par for what you would expect at a Four Seasons (not cheap, but quality is high). My pancake duo was delicious and well made. Bacon was crispy and comes 4 to an offer. Staff are courteous, but service was pretty slow this morning. Coffee is also pricy but decent. All in all, not a bad option for breakfast if you don't want to or don't have time to leave the property.

SERVICE: 5 STARS. We had the best time at Ciclo for our fur baby's birthday. You read that right, FUR BABY'S BIRTHDAY! Our waiter, Benjamin, was THE absolute sweetest and best. He truly made our experience memorable and one we'll never forget. Benjamin was attentive to not only us, but our little guy as well. He came in with a plate of beautiful donut cookies and fresh water with ice cubes served in a stainless steel bowl, without even asking! FOOD: 3 STARS. Sadly, Ciclo doesn't have much to offer for breakfast, and everything is incredibly overpriced. I would suggest coming for the beautiful patio views and exceptional service.

Fabulous. Went alone for a dining experience in Austin on a weekend getaway. Ciclo showed up on my search for steak and $$ pricing was promised on OpenTable (I did make a reservation). Didn't realize it was in the Four Seasons; you have to travel a short distance through the hotel down a staircase to get there. Attire was fine dining, but I wasn't treated any differently wearing nice jeans, leather boots, and fleece. Service (Nick) was attentive, kind, welcomed me in. The food was phenomenal. The house rolls are legendary, a skillet of four with a side of butter and honey. Recommended you eat 1-2 before dinner and save some for desert. Hickory smoked ribeye (medium rare) was perfect, subtle on the hickory not overpowering at all, came with a sweet garlic round to squeeze on top (optional), a side of BBQ sauce and sprinkling salt. Whipped potatoes complement very well, crispy brussels were also delicious. Paired with a red cab sauv blend. Final kindness was a dessert, chocolate-covered ice cream bon bons, ice cream sourced from a local shop down the street. Dark chocolate center. Paired excellently with the red wine. Forces you to slow down, as the ice cream comes very cold in a glass over smoking dry ice. WILL be returning!

Located inside of the four seasons we dined here for the brunch buffet. Expect an upscale dining experience with great vibes and service. Only downside for the brunch they only offer the buffet and the menu isn't available during brunch. You get just about everything on the buffet from your traditional breakfast items, prime rib, steak, lamb, potatoes, pasta, and non traditional items as well. There is also an eggs Benedict station too. Service is top notch, great food, and a beautiful patio that overlooks the lake for a great vibe. Prices are a little expensive but that is to be expected dining at the four seasons. Also they have a wide variety of dessert options and they were all great. My personal favorite was the chocolate peanut butter mousse with the peanut butter cup on top. A great spot to get brunch at for a special occasion

Watching the chefs work up close adds so much to the experience and really highlights the care and skill that goes into every dish. We started with the morita shrimp appetizer, then had the short rib special and the half chicken. Every bite was packed with flavor- the food is consistently incredible. What really sets Ember apart, though, is the service. It's consistently warm, attentive, and perfectly timed without ever feeling overbearing. Whether it's your first visit or your fifth, Ember delivers on food, experience, and hospitality. One of our go-to spots in Austin and always worth coming back to.

Overall, I…read morethink Ember Kitchen is certainly worth checking out, but I think I might order a little differently next time. First off - parking is convenient in the Seaholm parking garage. My understanding is that Ember will validate, but it wasn't apparent to me how that works and honestly I walked out forgetting it and having to pay the bill for parking - oh well. I came with a party of six and we were celebrating a birthday. The team at Ember was very accommodating. We were seated downstairs in their "Speakeasy" room. It's a bit dark, but cool atmosphere. There are other dining options if you prefer a bit brighter setting. We were served complimentary birthday shots! These were quite tasty - enough so that I ordered another round of those citrus based shooters. Everyone at the table ordered a cocktail. Nearly all the cocktails on the menu are going to be served in a feminine looking glass and with a flower. The cocktail menu is pretty much for the ladies. On the bright side, they have a good selection of bourbons, tequila, etc available for straight pours at a decent price. Not extensive selection, but I think a good choice - enough that I think you will find something to fit your price point and taste profile. Our waitress was top notch. Very attentive and paid close attention to the orders from our gluten sensitive guest ensuring she ordered safely. We ordered a couple small plates as appetizers for the whole table. Everyone loved the crab cake. I thought it was tasty but wasn't expecting whole kernel corn in a crab cake so that threw me off a little. Market seafood crudo - this is a fish appetizer and as the name implies changes based on availability. The night we ate was a Hamachi or Salmon option. The salmon had a bit more of a spicy sauce so we chose that. It was a hit. We also chose a tuna tartare and it was fresh, good but didn't knock our socks off. When ready for the main course - our waitress had a number of off-menu specials to tell us about and honestly many were very interesting options. In fact, we chose to split a 50oz Tomahawk steak. This was a huge steak plated on a hot platter, already sliced off the bone with some fingerling potatoes. This was honestly the most expensive part of the meal (no surprise), but also the least impressive. Now visually it was a spectacle for sure, but the meat certainly had pieces that were tough with some large pieces of fat. Now I don't mind the fat, but when sliced there were a couple pieces that were nothing but fat, other pieces still that were mostly gristle. We all agreed the seasoning was just missing, it seemed to have no seasoning at all. It was also quite charred. One of the claims to fame here is their Josper oven and clearly it can put a good char on a steak. Some in our party liked it, but I thought it was a bit much. There can be fine line between a good steak crust and a burnt crust. I thought it was a bit much, and maybe why the seasoning seemed missing. On the bright side, it was cooked correctly to order. My only problem was, for the price, this was a complete miss. We also ordered scallops and the morida shrimp. Both were excellent. These were probably worth coming back for. The morida shrimp come served in a bowl with a rich sauce that was enjoyed by the whole party. The scallops come pan seared and were cooked perfectly - which is key to enjoying a good scallop. Be aware that the typical order of scallops though comes with only two scallops - rather light even for a single individual, because these were not on the "small plates" menu, it was supposed to be a full entree. Great experience overall, but we just felt not quite worth what we had to pay for it. Overall, it was just over $150 per person. What could have saved it - for that price, the steak HAS to be on point.

Scanning the dining room, I noticed that their portions are huge. We started with a shrimp cocktail, an empanada, and their version of a rum - mango martini. The small option for the shrimp cocktail was bountiful and easily shared. The housemade cocktail sauce was a perfect accompaniment. The empanada was a tad dry, but their spicy salsa sauce was a great addition. Our "martini" was sweet but very satisfying on a warm afternoon. We did want to try their ceviche, but they are using tilapia as their fish. Quality Seafood is not too far away, and I'm sure that they could offer a better-tasting white fish than plain ole tilapia. We split one of their house specials, the Bandeja Paisa Tipica. This is a traditional Colombian dish, and it is a meat lover's dream served on an oversized platter. Our platter arrived with a chorizo link, beef sirloin, rice, red beans with pork, a huge fried chicharrón, an arepa, a sweet plantain, a slice of avocado (well, there's the only healthy portion), and a fried egg on top. We struggled to eat about 70% of this feast. It's going to take a few visits to the gym to work off this lunch. Dis & Dat: Parking is a breeze as they have their own parking lot. My waitress was friendly and the atmosphere was very casual. I decided to take a chance and get the Peruvian fried rice. My rice had chicken and shrimp. They gave me soy sauce and a spicy sauce. I didn't use the spicy sauce and one pack of soy sauce was enough. This rice was so good and flavorful. I wish I had more shrimp! Overall my experience was good and I could see myself going back !

Each bite tastes fresh and well prepared, very moist rotisserie chicken. I ordered the rotisserie chicken and sweet plantains...the perfect combination. Both exceeded my expectations. The meat was delicious and the plantains were sweet and tasty. The side really helps round out the meal. The orange sauce was a standout, which adds a creamy, slightly spicy kick that elevates everything it touches. I could taste a hint of mustard, not sure of the other ingredients...all I know it was quite tasty, Service was quick and friendly, making it an easy choice for a casual lunch. Portions are generous for the price, and the food feels filling without being heavy. The restaurant sparsley packed, however, they do also have drive through...a convenient benefit. Very chill environment.

I came back and waited about a minutes before I was acknowledged, I was sat and the waitress was attentive. I wanted to try the arepita appetizer which is normally served with shredded beef/pork or chicken on the side- to get a side of plantains instead of meat, it was going to add 3$ to the 14$ appetizer so I just opted to omit the meat all together and still had to pay the $14 ...which I don't feel is appropriate- people always wanna add money to sub a veggie for meat but never reduce the price when just removing the meat all together. Anyways, Ordered my food which was out promptly, the veggie bowl was delicious as always and the arepita appetizer (no meat) was good- reminded me of a fried potatoe cake, I used the arepitas as a vessel for my veggie bowl ! I brought the remainder of my bowl home where I bit into something very hard , once pulling it out of my mouth I discovered some beef snuck it's way into my dish- disappointing forsure but it is the first time out of about 10 times this has happened here. Prices have gone up over the last few years my veggie bowl was 18$.

I've driven by El Alma many times being in the Austin area, but I never went until last Thursday, and after surviving a brief monsoon, I was glad to get a few drinks and eat some good TexMex with my large party just before a wedding. The best way to describe El Alma is that it is TexMex that is Austinified. Everything feels a little more unique and special than your classic TexMex options. I started off with a Mezcal Margarita that put a little hair on my chest and got me going. My group ordered two of their Nachitos, which were these nice nachos. For my main entrée, I got 3 Al Pastor tacos on corn with a side of their rice and beans. Their pastor was served with pineapples, onions, and cilantro with limes on the side. They were great and I immediately crushed them all. I thought their rice and beans were pretty good as well and a step above the typical TexMex rice and beans. The server was pretty attentive throughout our whole visit, and I honestly have no complaints about what they had to offer. Pricing on the meal and drinks was pretty standard for Austin, and I didn't think anything really took me out of the experience. On top of that, for being in Barton Springs, there is quite a bit of parking. I would love to come back at some point in the future and hang out on their rooftop bar because that seems like a lot of fun. Shoutout to El Alma for being a TexMex oasis saving me from the MoPac traffic. RIYL: TexMex, but better than your average

I started with the Margarita on the rocks from the happy hour menu. It was made from scratch with tequila, triple sec, fresh lime, and cane sugar. I added mango flavor and tajin. The event ordered the Tropical Ceviche for the table with fresh fish cured in lime, with cilantro, avocado and onions. It was served with plantain chips. The flavors in this ceviche were so balanced and light. I was blown away on how much I enjoyed this. For my entree, I ordered Lechón Asado the most traditional Cuban dish. It is pulled pork marinated with Cuban Mojo criollo and slowly oven roasted. It was served with your choice of beans, rice and plantain. I went with the black beans, white rice and Yucca con Mojo. You can taste the citrus, garlic, and slow-roasted depth in every bite. It was juicy without being heavy and felt authentically prepared. The portion was generous, and everything on the plate complemented the pork beautifully. It felt comforting, well balanced, and thoughtfully executed. I did have an issue with slow service as far as receiving my food and one margarita I ordered was never delivered and I had to follow up on. Also my food was added to another person's check instead of on a separate check. However, these issues can be expected with a large event. It was a great location to host an event.
