I ate it with chips, put it in my tacos and mixed some into my rice. They had a special menu for the chili festival that's going on until Sept 4. I ordered regular chicken tacos but got the chili sauce on the side and it was delicious. I personally didn't think the sauce was that spicy and I have a very low tolerance for spice. This Chuys is awesome, most of the employees are very friendly and the food is on point. I will go out of my way to visit this chuys if I'm not in the area. I highly reccomend this location. Chicka chicka boom boom! Order it. Shredded chicken smothered with creamy, spicy sauce. The sauce has a kick so if you can't handle spicy.....you have been warned. I like their HH. Cheap drinks. Unlimited queso, taco meat, chips, and salsa---for free 5 pm until 7 pm. Most locations get super busy, but we didn't have trouble getting a seat for 2 on a Thursday night. The chips and salsa are amazing. The jalapeno ranch dipping sauce is a must get too. Lots of food offerings, a plenty of classic corn tortilla based options which is always nice. The refried beans were good, but the rice was just okay. I had enchiladas covered with chili sauce and topped with a fried egg. It was okay, the shredded chicken inside was good, but the topping was so heavy and the portion SO huge that it was hard to say exactly what I was eating. It was good, I ate about half and was totally full, lots of waste, too bad. But it was good, everyone liked what they had. It's an easy spot for some Mexican-type food, but I'd come back just for the chips and salsa. I think I would have been happier with a taco or two. Live and learn. read more

Service - Good service. They messed up my son's food but they apologized several times over and corrected it within 5 minutes. Food/Price/Portion: Portion size is good for price. Where to begin.... first table we tried to sit at in the bar was broken. So, there another one available and moved. When the bartender walked up, she hit a chair a little and the table leaned over. Try the Elivs Plate. It rocks! The green sauce is spicy. Lots of Tex-Mex restaurants are afraid of spice. Not Chuy's! The fajita platter has LOTS of meat. Other Tex Mex places don't give you nearly as much meat. Other Chuy's locations are bigger with cooler decor, but that's just a minor gripe. Friendly, fast service and great food. Last night my bf and I had dinner here for the first time. Decor was a pleasant surprise, has its own vibe going on which was pretty cool. We were greeted and seated promptly and received no complaint from the host when requesting a booth rather than a table. Chips and salsa were decent, although chips were a bit thin for my preference. We ordered the #1 and #2 combo. I couldn't understand the waitress when she asked something, I thought about rice but she was repeating my order? I asked her to repeat herself and she finally points to my selection on the menu and says "just say yes". I don't take very kindly to being told what to do by a stranger, let alone saying "yes" to something I have no clue about. Finally the orders were placed. The result: the Elvis plate was delicious, and the #1 was satisfying enough. I personally wasn't impressed with the tacos, nor the chili con queso sauce that smothered my plate. Perhaps I just simply prefer authentic mexican food,or perhaps it's because I'm not a southerner, but I can't say that it was BAD, just different. Which is nice, right? Having lived in Austin for many years Chuys became a permanent staple in my diet. I never had any problems and always enjoyed the food and drinks. Learning there was one in Addison I decided I had to give this a try. The restaurant is pretty cool, we were seated quickly and had a nice table outside. It felt tropical and fun which was really nice. Here's where it goes south. The table itself was dirty it had sticky stuff all over it and was stained with salsa it was not comforting at all to have this as a first impression. After we're we seated we ordered some drinks. I had to have a frozen margarita. As they were delicious down in Ausrin. My margarita was half melted and super sweet. I thought there would be some consistnely in those since I figured they were probably pre measured but I was wrong. It wasn't great. Service was meh, my wife and I never got water or other drink refills. Even after asking. By the time our waiter came back after our dinners we were done and just ready to leave. I had the taco salad, it was ok, I love the shell and it was a good portion. The lettuce had some wilted pieces that I had to pick out, but I never send food back so I dealt with it. Overall it was marginal at best. I was really hoping for more. But I just feel there is not a lot of effort here. It just seemed kinda sad and dirty. I probably won't come back... Maseros and Glorias down the road are just better restaurants even if the price is higher... Sorry Chuys in Austin you are king, but here needs some work read more

I've always been a fan of Chuys. The queso here is really good. You also have to have their jalapeno ranch. Its so freaking good. They do have a great happy hour and a nacho bar during happy hour. Should never have to ask for refills, or napkins, or basic things that should already be pre set before food arrives. After guests have 2 bites of their food or 2 mins go by you should CHECK on them... common server knowledge. I love this place and I always have! Great service! Great food! Clean friendly and amazing . However, the last few times we have been there, there have been people wanting donations. They are directly infront of us as we exit from a really wonderful dinner! Bam!! Instant guilt if you say no or kindly decline. I choose my charities carefully every year. I would give it zero stars if I could. My boyfriend and I came in last night to get a bite to eat. It was probably around 8:30 that we walked in. The hostess said it would be a 10 to 15 minute wait and then proceeded to seat 3 parties ahead of us that walked in AFTER us. I also want to note that the hostess did not mention how the kitchen would close soon which she easily could've done and suggested we get bar seating instead so we could order before it closed. We then finally get seated at around 8:45 not knowing it is going to close soon but knowing exactly what we want and ready to order as soon as our waiter comes. The waiter then is going and helping EVERY OTHER TABLE AROUND US for the next 15 minutes and then stops by our table at 9:01 to tell us the kitchen is closed. If he had come up when we had been seated 16 minutes before we would have been ready to order with plenty of time to spare before the kitchen closed. Or even if he had come up to us right when we sat down and said it was closing soon. Instead we wasted 30 minutes in chuys and were told to leave because the kitchen closed, when neither the hostess or the waiter told us that until the waiter did a minute after closing after he AVOIDED our table for 15 minutes. I am typically a chuys fan but this location SUCKS. Do not go. read more

I absolutely recommend the "Big As Your Face" Burritos. They're amazing and as the name states, the burrito is huge. I got the fajita beef flavor and it came with the famous queso topping, Mexican rice, and some pico de gayo. Overall, this meal was humongous and it could probably feed two people but I scarfed it all down and struggled. It was a lot of food to handle, but it was my decision to eat it all, haha. Maybe next time I'll order a salad or something light. The atmosphere is pretty nice and we got seated very quickly during their lunch hour. It was extremely busy, but we got our food at a decent time and the server was extremely helpful. Would come again in the future. Tip: the margaritas are pretty good here too! read more

I've been to this new location twice. I've never been to a Chuy's previously and wanted to see what all the hype was about. It's a little better than your typical Tex Mex chain. It's way better than On The Border though which people seem to like so much. Why that is? I couldn't tell ya. The house margarita on the rocks is decent. Its not overly sweet but could be a little stronger. My friends bloody mary was really good. I loved the jalapeño stuffed olives that came with it. The chips are thin, warm and crispy. The salsa is fresh and yummy. The queso was also tasty. They have a garlic cream sauce similar to a spicy ranch that they bring with the chips and salsa that's pretty good. They don't have an a la carte menu but I asked the waiter and he said you can order anything on the menu individually. I ordered a single Baja taco. The fish or shrimp comes battered and fried but the waiter offered it grilled as well. Get the grilled fish!! It was fresh and delicious. The taco had grilled fish that was crispy on the outside and soft & flaky on the inside, slaw and some of that garlic cream sauce. I'll be back just for the taco and the service. read more

We came here for a pre Mother's Day celebration. The first thing that stood out was the service! Amazing service! I believe our servers name was David (might have been Daniel). Impecable service! Next, we all ordered drinks. I got the classic margarita on the rocks. My mom and her friend got the strawberry mango swirl margarita... like WHAT?! Rest assured, it tastes as good as it sounds! They split the fajita combo that came with beef, chicken, and shrimp and with rice, beans, guacamole, pico, sour cream and tortillas! Love some Chuy's! Their veggie enchiladas are delish! So I was craving them and thought I would stop by to see if they would let me order takeout. They do not have the veggie enchiladas on their limited menu but the server was really sweet and I was able to order something else. They also have these really awesome margarita kits. You can get the one for two or the one for eight And they did not disappoint! So if you are craving a frozen margarita, you can get one to go to enjoy on your patio at home!
