Ramen dog with spicy mayo
Kristen P.

Love me some K Dogs, been here three times and they are ok. Will be honest had better off a food truck but there's no competition here for Chung Chun. They do have a nice variety of dogs, sweet and savory. They also have a few sides, mac and cheese bites being one of them. I've been there three times and got the original twice and ramen one once. I recommend the sauce especially spicy mayo and some seasonings as well to add some flavor and flair.

Chung Chun This was too good!!! I got the mozerella corn dog and the cheese was melty and perfect. The breading was not too thick and the taste was immaculate. Definitely recommend coming here for a snack if you're by robson!!!

This is a great place to go after biking in Stanley park! The guy that took my order was really nice. He was explaining the menu and gave me some of his suggestions! I ordered a sweet potato cheese ball and waffle fries. They have a lot of seasonings and sauce to top off your order. This place only does takeout!

Having just had only my second Japadog ever, just down the street, I had to restrain myself from ordering another, because I had another sausage subject in my sights: a rice hot dog from Chung Chun. Unfortunately, they're close enough to each other that I hadn't burned off the calories of the former, before ordering the latter, which ended up being the Volcano dog, topped with hot sauce and spicy mayo. The rice-based breading adds a nice crunch to what is otherwise a glorified corn dog (sans corn, of course), but with a premium frank (in this case, infused with jalapeno), and bigger than your average sausage. Quick to order, quick to serve, and additional toppings available right before they hand it over to you. Awesome, all around. After today's experience I'll never look at a regular corn dog again with out a sneer of disdain and disgust, because this dog is the top dog in the world of breaded wieners!

This Korean-style hot dog/corn dog place on Denman and Robson has attracted a lot of attention around the area; there is always a long line of people waiting for their orders by the tree!  Since the store was quite small and cramped, we had to take our receipt and walk outside to wait for our number. We ordered the double cheese beef and chicken mix along with ramen noodles as toppings. My girlfriend and I intended to try it just as a snack, so we only ordered one to taste it. However, the portion was a little more than just a snack, as it was quite filling.  As you take your first bite, you can bite through the many layers of textures it provides: crunchy ramen noodle crumbs, soft breading from the corn dog, and finally the cheese inside. We could say that each bite was plentiful with surprises as you worked your way down the stick! One thing we find that could be improved is that instead of making the corn dog half cheese and half hot dog, they could make it into sections of both. (Cheese, hotdog, cheese, hotdog) That way you will never get bored of the cheese in the first half and have different flavors as you go!

I'm a fan!! My daughter raved about it so of course I had to try! It's a small place on the corner of Robson and Denman. So there is no dine it. Simple and tidy. Big windows make it nice and bright. Everything is made fresh to order, so you'll need to wait a bit for your food but totally worth it! The outer shell is crispy crunchy. The inside is hot and the cheese is gooey and stretchy. SO GOOD!

Pretty decent Korean-style hot dogs! I didn't care for the potato coating, but the regular hot dog was good!

Anything deep fried correctly tends to always be good and this is no exception. I've had these corn dog like snacks before and I do enjoy them a lot. Definitely a game changer for those that are used to normal corn dogs, but nothing too special if you've had one before. So I thought there was a line when I got here, but apparently people were just standing outside not realizing they were in line. Easy mistake haha, so I got to order pretty quick once everyone realized this. After ordering there was a second line to pick up the order. Luckily they had a ticketing system and displayed your order number at the window, so you know when your order is ready. When picking it up, you get to choose what kind of sauce you want drizzled over it. I was really basic and just went with the simple ketchup. But they have a variety such as bbq and teriyaki. So feel free to be adventurous! Of course, had to get the rice hot dog with cheese in it cause that cheese pull is fun to do. I did the half cheese though cause I still want me some meat in my rice hot dog. The temperature of the food was good, not too hot and definitely not cold. The cheese was melted just right and the crispy outside was satisfyingly crunchy. No complaints here. Just ate this thing while walking around Robson street and enjoying life. Very pleased.

Trendy korean rice dog place. Definitely a novelty and something to try if you want a fusion of carnival food with an Asian twist. Two of the most popular are to try the potato dog and the cheese dog. I tried both but opted for the one with squid ink. It was incredibly filling and having one may have been just enough as I was struggling to finish the 2nd one. The nice thing about these dogs is that you could customize the toppings. I recommend the honey butter, honey mustard and ketchup as a combo. Will probably be back to try something else as there are so many options on the menu! Expect to spend around $4-$6 per dog.

I really wanted to like these Korean Hot Dogs I've been hearing so much about. When I saw the line-up to order had only 1 person ahead, I thought this was the chance to try them out. I guess I rushed my order (and letting my kid help pick didn't help) but none of the hot dogs we chose had any cheese in them which I think would have helped with how heavy/oily these hot dogs were and added some contrast in flavors. First though, their service was excellent. From the person who took my order, to the person directing the line-up outside (there was an order line and a waiting to pickup your order line), to the person putting on your choice of toppings - they were all friendly and efficient. However the hot dogs we ordered we'd probably not get again. - Gamsung - A thinner hot dog encrusted with potato cubes. We were not a fan of this thinner hot dog. - Ramen Chip - A thicker hot dog encrusted with crunchy ramen. This is the better one of the 3 we ordered since the sausage was better and the ramen have a crunch but it was just OK. - Chicken Topping - The kid's choice, pricier than the other 2 at $6.99 and was way too meaty and heavy to eat the whole thing when there's dry chicken chunks encrusting a sausage within.

Tip: order on Ubereats and just go pick up to avoid the long lines. My friend told me to go and try this so I did because I'm a good friend. I got a cheese and a chocolate hotdog. The cheese one had the cheese pull that was cool. The chocolate one tasted like Nutella, but I really didn't feel like it went well with the savoury batter. Overall, I'm glad I tried it but the taste is nothing special so I won't be eating this again.

Good snack. It is a small shop on the corner of Robson and Denman. There is one line for ordering and another line for waiting to pick up. They will ring a bell and call out the number when the order is ready. The wait was 6 minutes after ordering. Each corndog can be personalized with different toppings and sauces. Food: We ordered the Half Mozzarella (half cheese, half beef sausage) for $6.49 and chose to drench it with spicy mayo, ketchup, and hot sauce. After saucing it, we went outside to eat it. We did not see a cheese pull, but it had a warm interior. Cheese and sausage is always a safe and yummy combo. Rating 8/10. We also ordered the Chicken Nugget (beef & chicken sausage) for $8.49 and chose to drench it with chipotle, teriyaki, and hot sauce. We could definitely taste the chicken nuggets that were on the exterior of the corn dog. It has a pretty thick exterior, so it's harder to eat and feels like a lot of food. Rating 7.5/10. In the future, we're interested in trying the Volcano (pork & chicken sausage).

Original, cheese dog, ramen dog, and sweet potato dog - all with sweet Mayo, teriyaki, and sweet Thai chili sauce!

While on vacation this week in Vancouver, we wanted to try some food we don't have back home in Reno. We passed this place on the way to Stanley Park and wanted to try some Korean corndogs! The staff was very friendly and helpful while ordering and picking up our order. We tried the original corndog, the mozzarella corndog, the ramen corndog, and a sweet potato corndog. I got sweet Mayo, teriyaki, and sweet Thai chili sauce on all of them and they were all good compliments to the dogs. My favorite was the sweet potato dog - lots of chunks of sweet potato on it - delicious! This was a fun thing to try while in Vancouver!

Perfect for cheese-pull fanatics!! Haven't had anything like it in Vancouver. Tip for ordering: 1 corn dog is quite filling.

In addition to the halibut, they serve up salmon, lamb, turkey and buffalo, as well as a variety of premium toppings. When the server kept asking g me if I wanted everything on it, I thought maybe they were going to add a bunch of things to make it worth the price. Oh well, what did I expect them to put on a lox and cream cheese bagel? The place itself was very busy and clearly popular. They serve German foods: sausages, perogies, etc. and sandwiches as well. I've had the sausage here before and it was very good. The shop was clean and the service moved quickly despite the crowd. Staff were very friendly. Good food and worth trying but just be prepared for Granville Island pricing.

First things first, this doesn't have the oomph and character coolness of Japadog that locals and visitors have grown to love. No long line ups here, no uniformed Japanese speaking staff, no photos of hotdogs with different toppings, and yes, no photo of Ice Cube too. There was only a friendly smile from the owner and one unique item offering which was the tandoori dog, choice of either kosher beef or kosher chicken. For $5.50, it was just plain and ordinary with only a hint of tandoori flavour basted on the hotdog. Despite the onions being nicely cooked in butter, bread rightly toasted, it was just boilerplate okay. It lacked creativity, texture and presentation, the wow factor. I was expecting toppings as chutney, yogurt, maybe paneer, or some curry infused side condiments, but there was only mustard, ketchup, and bbq sauce, typical for the dirty water dog varieties, not a stand named as Tandoori Tikka Dog. Sigh. Didn't mean to be the bearer of bad news here, but I'm giving it 2.5 stars and hoping they could improve as there's still lots of room left for more ethnic fusion street foods here in Vancouver. Meanwhile, I don't think it deserves a visit from Anthony Bourdain as of yet.
