After seeing so many tiktoks about this place, I knew I had to try! The line up actually goes by pretty quick and they have separate lines to order and to pick up your food. We got two potato hot dogs, one mozzarella hot dog, and one cheddar cheese hot dog. The mozzarella one had an insane cheese pull and was really good. The hot dog bit was at the bottom tho so you basically eat the cheese part first and then the hotdog part. The potato one was super crispy and also really good. The cheddar cheese one didn't have a cheese pull but still tasted good. I really like how you can customize which sauce you want on each hot dog! This place is always bustling--when it's busy, be prepared to wait about 15-20 minutes to order and pick up! You line up outside, and only one-two people are allowed indoors to order at a time (it's very small and cramped in there). These are quite filling, and my favourite was the potato rice dog! Choosing the sauces and toppings can be overwhelming if you're indecisive like me, so when you're a few spots away from being called in for pick up, make sure you peek in through the window to see all your options! The 4.99 ones are quite a good value for how filling they are--it's pretty much the equivalent of grabbing a bubble tea, except you get filled with food! The only disappointing part of their menu is that the rice dogs with cheese are half-sausage, half cheese instead of having the sausage wrapped in cheese (THAT would be amazing, don't ya think?). Finally tried out Chung Chun because of all the hype! I came around lunch time and had to wait around 20-30 mins. They had a line for ordering and one pick up with sauce options so it was very organized. I ended up trying the Squid Ink with ketchup. Imo I only liked the dough. I'm not a fan of hot dogs to begin with and found the sausage quite salty. As for the cheese, I recommend eating it hot because mine hardened so I couldn't get that cheese pull :( BUT THE DOUGH, it was delicious! I just wanted a stick with that crunchy fried dough. Chung Chun is a newly opened Korean fast food shop that specializes in Korean Hotdogs. They have a variety of flavors to choose from with different types of coatings such as ramen chips and chunks of potatoes you can add to enhance your experience! It was my first time having Korean hotdogs so I was super excited to try them! I went in the early afternoon and lined up for around 30 minutes, so I would suggest heading early in morning or later in the evening to get them to avoid the long line ups. The mozzarella cheese hotdog is made with half a sausage on the bottom and half mozzarella on top that is coated in a rice flour and panko batter. The squid ink cheese hotdog is made squid ink batter and a sausage that is shaped like a squid on the bottom. Both hot dogs were deep fried to a beautiful golden brown colour and had the perfect cheesiness to them where you can pull them like a cheese string! You can also get sauces drizzled on top like BBQ, spicy mayo to complete your experience. The only thing that surprised me was how they chopped the sausages into small bits on the bottom part of the stick, instead of giving half of a sausage. Ever since this place opened, I've been itching for an opportunity to try these and they're as glorious as they seem to be. It's a crazy world where we can eat fried sausage and cheese on a stick covered in potato cubes. I'm such an indecisive person so picking a rice dog was honesty a struggle. Everything seemed so good. I finally came to a decision and got the mozzarella cheese hot dog which was half cheese half sausage and it was such a good representation of their most popular offerings. Obviously I got my with potato topping because why not. I was fully expecting to feel the grease in my veins after eating this thing but I felt pretty good afterwards! I'm pretty impressed because I was fully expecting to feel gross and sick afterwards because sometimes fried foods (if at optimal grease levels) make you feel that way. The cheese pull is so impressive, it makes the whole experience so fun to eat. The hot dog itself is like quality sausage none of your run of the mill shitty wiener. It was nice and actually juicy on the inside! The potato topping added a nice crunch and was pillowy on the inside as well! The sauces I added were honey mustard and spicy mayo. I also added some cheddar powder and it was so good omg. I think all the sauce options would be so good on the rice dogs. If you're a saucy person they have you covered!! Overall service is really great and they answer the questions you have which is nice because picking a rice dog can be kinda jarring! In terms of price, I think it's pretty reasonable! I had the topping of sweet mayo, ketchup and sugar. The hotdog is way bigger than the Seattle location and the cheesy is ultra stringy. But I did wish they added more condiments on or given as a side because with the size of the hotdog I wish there was more to dip. I like it saucy. * Cheddar cheese hotdog ($5.99)~ this was disappointing. Cheese wasn't even stringy and the hotdog was ok la. The mozzarella one was better! Topping, Thai sauce, sweet chilli. * Jumbo hot dog ($6.99) ~ lmao this was similar to the ones you can get from super markets. Saw these Korean hot dogs on so many YouTube channels and had friends rave about Chung Chun, so finally decided to try one for myself. We ended up just getting their Mozzarella Cheese Hot Dog, which is mozzarella cheese in the first half and hot dog in the second. We also got sugar sprinkled on it, like they do in Korea. The hot dog was super crispy, with the rice batter giving it a different texture and taste than a regular corn dog. I only wish that the cheese and sausage were throughout the whole hot dog, like it's done in Korea and LA, and not just half and half. All in all, I understand the hype and would eat it again. I LOVE these Korean styled rice; corn dogs. It was so fricken good, I went back the next day and ordered 13 for my family and I to share. Rice cake, mozzarella were my personal favourites. I went during the time when it just opened but luckily my friend and i arrived when the wait time was much MUCHHH a shorter wait. 15-20 mins oppose to 1-1.5 hr wait if i remembered correctly .
