Man, what happened? I haven't been to Chuck E Cheese in years, it's crazy to me as an old fan of the place to see how much it has changed. The pricing is insanely ridiculous with how much it is for 4 people including food being up to almost $70. You could buy a whole Nintendo Switch game with that. Then there was the wait for our pizza, it took a long time for it to come over until there was somehow a mixup between ours and someone else's order which just so happened to be the same exact pizza. However, ours was cut very weirdly and not even cut all the way through. The games left some room to be desired since most of the stuff you could find in any other arcade, and I'm pretty sure some of the little kids there aren't old enough to know how Guitar Hero works. Also no animatronics kind of made the place lose a huge core of its identity. And apparently you can only use the cards at the same location from what I've heard. What happened to tokens and actual tickets you'd collect? Some of the employees kind of looked like they didn't want to be there, like someone at the trampoline area looked bored out of her mind. Ok to be honest, we had a great time at Chuck E. Cheese and here's why! This is the second time we've been to this specific location in Pinole, this go-around with our own kiddo :) While I can't speak for every location, Pinole's is clean and well-kept. Service was quick and smooth, also the staff was incredibly helpful as there are so many options walking in and looking at the entertainment and food menu. Will you spend a decent amount of money? Yes. Will you regret it? We didn't. I think going to spots like Chuck E. Cheese there is just an unwritten law that your wallet mentally and physically abides by before entering. We went with '30 points' or 'taps' to start vs. paying for an unlimited 30 minutes..and even that was a decent amount for a toddler. We also purchased a medium cheese pizza, and drinks for the kiddo (and us!) I love that if a parent would like an adult bevvy, they most certainly can. There is also an option to pay for adventure land, which we noticed a few groups coming in to pay for by itself ~ we had just come from a similar spot, so we decided to skip that for now. Great to know it's there though! Essentially $12 and some change for (kids under 56″) to enjoy indoor play like slides/trampoline, etc. There is supervision by a staff member, no adults allowed in that area. For the smaller kiddos, there is a separate area we spent most of our time in. The mascot came out a few times to interact with the kiddos and that was an exciting time for all, maybe once every 30 minutes or so. As parents, we were able to enjoy some games as well which was fun. And to be honest, the pizza was pretty solid. No complaints from anyone in that department. Towards the end of our visit, we grabbed a few photo sketches from a machine as keepsakes for the refrigerator. We also were able to grab a few fun items with our tickets before exiting. The front desk upon entering is usually friendly, but of lately it's more like I am an inconvenience than a customer. Today, the woman at the front desk began considerate - letting us know she would be right with us following stamping our hands. Once at the register, I asked to purchase a play band to load our membership with. "Where's your play band?" "I do not have one that is why I said I need to purchase a power band." She then told me my total. When I proceeded to tell her I wanted to purchase a refillable cup and ninja jump she looked at me like seriously and smacked her lips. She returned to the register and asked "Is that all?" "If you would've took the time to ask me that initially we could've avoided your attitude with me." She asked what size socks, gave my daughter her wristband and rang me up. When it came time to put on my daughter's wristband, I was having difficulty. I wasn't aware that onions and canned black olives were now being sold for such a premium. For an additional $2.09+tax, I added red onions to our pizza. Went here for my nephews' bday, and it was easy to make a last minute reservation due to an unexpected conflict with our original party plans. The venue was clean, modern, and colorful, with machines and games in working order. Pizza was decent, nothing too outstanding, but a crisp buttery crust which added flavor. Don't expect gourmet restaurant quality here. It was still better than expected, the pepperoni and cheese good enough for the kids (I didn't hear a single complaint), the veggie and supreme a tasty option for the adults. In addition, the different flavored cupcakes and dipping dots were a nice treat, mainly for the little ones, the cupcakes were quite dense, but a simple dessert option. They also had extensive offerings for both soda and non-soda beverages at their self-serve fountain drink machines (including 3 diet options which is rare). The service was outstanding, the birthday party seating area was spacious, decorated nicely with clear signage. Staff was cordial and helpful, communicated well, and was prompt with timing for food being served, the ticket blaster (free as part of the bday package), the show for birthday celebrants (yes Chuck E. is indeed a musician, so you'll see him playing the guitar on screen), and bringing out the Chuck E. Cheese mascot for the kids... the staff was even into the dance they do with Charles Entertainment Cheese, encouraging kids to have fun with it too. My nephews and nieces (between the ages of 5-11) had a blast playing the games, but so did some of the adults. Sure there's a lot only catering to young kids (a lot of circus themed, even a unique Hollywood Reels machine), but some of the arcade games were fun for me... yes I enjoyed sitting on the vibrating and moving seat for the Jurassic Park arcade machine while my partner played, a nice massage for my back. Also, hoops and skeeball are classic games any age can enjoy, even if miniature versions. The kids had all-you-can-play cards, unlimited games for 2 hours, and one of them was gifted to us due to one of the kids being absent... so we took advantage. In turn, we gifted our tickets (loaded on the card) to the bday boy, getting him closer to his CEC wish list from the prize counter where tickets can be redeemed for fun toys and souvenirs. Going to CEC is nostalgic for me, my parents took me and my siblings here (a different location) for bday celebrations or just for a day of fun when I was a kid... I still remember how much I enjoyed playing in the ball pit (nowadayz and here in Pinole, they have trampolines instead). So even though it's not perfect, this location does a pretty good job bringing smiles to the kids' faces, staying true to their simple and memorable slogan, and that's what matters. read more

Extremely poor customer service, ridiculous upcharging ($2 for a new play card and the an ADDITIONAL $2 for the wrist band!?!), and food servings were a joke. Our 'basket' of fries was 1/3 full. When I asked for more, the woman said that is the full serving!? That is esp seems like such an easy win for them. How much is each fry?! It's a strange craving to be in the mood for the Chuck E Cheese menu, especially since the scene caters to the younger crowd. But I was extremely intrigued with their unicorn churros. 1 order of churros will get you 5 sticks for $5 in various flavors: lemon, green apple, blue raspberry, cherry(?), and original. Flavored churros are a huge thing that I miss from the Disneyland parks, but I'm definitely not going to drive to SoCal for a churro. This was my next best thing. The texture was perfect as it was soft and fresh and even after letting it sit for a few hours it never got hard or stale. The only downside was that the sugar crystals would melt but i would take melted sugar over a hard churro. Their sign says you have to order a minimum of 4 items for take out. I'm not sure if that was required for both call in and walk ins, but I did walk in to buy this and went ahead to get 4 orders of these =$20. Not a ton of healthy options but they have a sign that says they hand cut fresh produce every day for the salad bar. I hate getting wilted iceberg lettuce and was pleased with what was there. I actually really liked the clean, feels-like-new set up. The play Kidz Bop so be prepared. But it is a kids place. It's about keep loyal costumers coming back over and over again. This franchise started dying because it was made and kept alive for and by millennials. Gen Z docent find any interest in these kids of restaurants. So instead of trying to look "cool" and "hip" they should of done there research and found there target audience. As of for me. Decided to drop in to let my two year old granddaughter release some energy and have lunch with the older kids. The line was long but it moved fast. The cashier was friendly and helped me choose the best deals (food and game play). I was told the wait for the food would be an hour long. Which was to be expected but management explained (apologeticly) that a really large party ordered a lot of food so the wait would be a little longer than expected. For the wait they gave us a coupon for 500 tickets! It happened that the food arrived in 30/35 minutes, hot and fresh! The bathrooms were maintained and the floors and tables were kept up. This place is the filthiest! The floors are stained and littered. All the tables had garbage on them. I was even hesitant to sit anywhere because the cleanliness was questionable. There is plenty of games for different ages which was a plus. There were some games that did not work but didn't have an out of order sign, so you risked losing your token anyway. The ticket machine was all broken; however, there was a staff member who came and fixed one side of the machine since there was a bunch of people who were waiting. This is definitely one of the worse Chuck E Cheese establishments I've been to. The maintenance is severely lacking. I honestly recommend carrying some bacterial wipes to wipe down whatever you touch and some anti-bacterial to use on your hands when you leave. IT IS THAT BAD. read more

My wife and kids went with really low expectations for the first time while I stayed home to work OT. We always see this location as we shop but we were hesitant to try. I haven't stepped foot into one since a teenager and it just makes me feel like a place way past its prime like K-Mart of the 80s. I do have fond memories of the huge one in San jose. I decided to take my daughter who's 24 and my two grandchildren for a blast from the past Chuck E. Cheese. When we arrived, we were greeted by a associate named Jordan who checked us in with a friendly smile and then proceeded to help us at the register. Jordan is product knowledgeable she recommended the best package that would suit our needs with the best meal combo. I couldn't of done it without her I haven't been to Chuck E. Cheese for over maybe 15 years. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and then Jordan suggested that we upgrade to the cheesy crust pepperoni pizza which was pretty amazing I was happily surprised at the quality of food Chuck E. Cheese's is now serving and even more pleasantly surprised of the nice people who work there so overall it was a great experience and will be back in hopefully Jordan will be there to greet us. This review is long over due. Our family had a 5 star good time here. My son celebrated his first birthday here and we couldn't have picked a better spot. We had our own personal host that Chuck E Cheese arranged so that we didn't have to worry about orders, plates, etc. My host was perfect with accommodating everyone. Pizza was solid, bar b que wings, salad buffet, bread sticks were all good, and the vibe was just perfect like I had imagined from my childhood days. Two thumbs up on the whole experience.
