My Dad was craving corn dogs and a mustard dog so I was happy to oblige. I missed the PA system to order and drove right to the window like a bonehead. The cashier was really nice about it and took my order at the window. I asked if they had brown mustard (Dad requested) and they do not. I ordered 3 corndogs and 1 mustard dog for him. I waited in line to order about 2pm Monday, 4/13/26, and the Hispanic woman taking orders helped another Hispanic man that was behind me without acknowledging me at all. It was pretty run down, and it didn't look too clean in the parking lot around it. It was very uninviting. We used the drive-through. My wife had a regular dog, and I had the Chicago style dog with a side of chilly bacon cheese fries. The Chicago style was not even close. It was good, but I would say it was average. On the other hand, chili bacon cheese fries were really good. There were some other cars waiting behind us to make their orders and the girls that we're working inside were working pretty hard so I will give that to. No fresh hot dog on a fluffy steamed roll, only old tasting skinny hot dogs with room temp buns that had been compressed to the point of a gummy, Play-Doh sort of texture. But hey! We can just slap on some condiments and run them through the micro for a minute or two, right? WRONG!! Nearly 25 bucks, not one item served was good - NOT ONE - and that's where I hit my limit. At that price point, to be served trash like this (and that's where most of it ended up, in the trash) is adding insult to injury, and finally pushed me to the breaking point. There are not many places open after 10 pm in West Contra Costa County. So if I'm hungry on my way home I usually have to stop at one of the few fast food spot for a late night dinner. The Wienerschnitzel is open to 11 pm; it is easy to drive through and take my order to go then munch on it has I drive by all the places I would rather stop at. The hotdogs are okay. I guess. I usually get the polish sandwich. The sausage is sliced and served on rye bread with cheese pickles and mustard. It is pretty good. When I stopped this week I saw that they had pastrami as a limited time menu item. You can order it on a hotdog, on top of chili cheese fries, or on a sandwich. I tired the sandwich, like the polish it was on served on rye bread with cheese, pickles and mustard. The sandwich was better than I thought it was going to be.
