Hadn't been here in a while. Definitely miss the old system of tokens and tickets. I understand not wanting coins due to sanitary reasons but the new way of purchasing play time isn't best convenient. Place was clean, Menu is a little pricey but that's not the location's fault. This review is mostly for the young man who served us this Wednesday evening. We had the pleasure of being assisted by Charles. He was very friendly, patient and helpful. Charles was getting pulled every which way (from taking order at the register, refilling the salad bar to helping kids choose their prizes) by different customers but maintained his composure and helped everyone with ease all while being pleasant to everyone. Wanted to redeem our 2 month reward pass for Freeplay and was told that it's no longer active per their system, precious time was spent going back and forth and at the end, the manager on duty honored our membership. The 2 stars is not for any unprofessionalism by the part of the employees but rather their software system not being accurate. Last minute visit after baseball practice. We show up an hour before closing. I know we cut it close. The employees weren't friendly or mean. They're kind of just there. No emotion or excitement.. lol typical youngin's but I ain't made at them.. They did inform us they close at 9pm and games shut off 8:50. We did lolagag a little. So, the same girl everyone is complaining about is why i only gave two stars. She didn't really "greet " you just stamps and doesn't say a word. Even when exiting she was just sitting at a table and others had already walked out without being checked. I gave two stars for the guy who was doing prizes. He was a younger guy and very nice. This place has definitely been turned around in the best way possible. We had stopped going to this location but after our last visit we have seen how much they have improved. I celebrated a birthday here and Melvin took great care of all of our needs! I would like to start off by saying I definitely love the new improvements. There's a lot more of an upbeat vibe to this place. They have fun music playing in the background. There is trampoline area now. Definitely more entertaining and upgraded game machines than before. I would like to thank the employee, Eric. He Is always Providing great customer service, and he is always very nice and very kind. The reason why I am giving it four stars is due to the pricing. I understand with all these upgrades prices add to increase but with one large pizza and two playing carda close to $100 it was close to $100 which in this economy, it makes it difficult to come here often, and expect to pay that amount. There should be available coupons like there used to be in the past, but the coupons now don't really offer much discounts. Overall this place is better than it was. We ordered at 6:38pm combo#4, after 40 minutes & me seeing everyone who ordered after me get their food I went to ask how much longer it would be the lady points to the pickup window I told her my foods not there I'm just asking how much longer will it be cause my son with Autism was really hungry she wouldn't go ask until I asked for a manager and turned out she was the manager she comes back and says 3 minutes cause of the wings it takes longer she says (order has 3 wings on the platter). finally after 5 min the pager goes off I look at the food the tiniest wings and bread sticks were probably the smallest I've seen compared to the ones I got in La Mirada & the pizza and very few pepperonis & spots that had zero to little cheese and it was not stuffed crust like I ordered & it was also missing pineapple that I paid more for I tell the manager and she was extremely rude, was not being helpful until I said I was calling corporate she had the pizza remade & my kids waited 1hr at 25 minutes to eat by this time our visit was no longer enjoyable my son was crying, my daughters were fussy & it absolutely made this experience uncomfortable, I left with a huge headache, mad kids, and I spent $132.36 to have some ladies poor attitude ruin my experience at what used to be my favorite location. I forgot to mention the salad bar I paid $11.99 for the salad bar there was no eggs, no croutons, no lettuce so they mixed the lettuce with spinach, and it was a lot more spinach in that lettuce bowl than lettuce. If you pay for a salad bar $11.99 plus tax and can't get lettuce for your salad or your out of ingredients they shouldn't sell it to you or they can at least warn you so you can decide to purchase it or not. read more

We arrived at this Chuck E cheese when there was hardly anyone in here literally about maybe 6 other people.. the reserved section for birthday parties was empty and we asked if we could reserve it for a few hours and the manager told us no,. Even though there was no one in that section. The tables once a customer has left the tables they do not clean any of the tables that were loaded with plates... nobody cleaned tables for the whole 4 hours that we were here. Horrible employees.. It's a little hidden but keep driving toward the back and you'll see the restaurant. I do believe that they frown upon children being dropped off without a parent or guardian present in the building. Therefore if you come with a child, you'll receive matching stamps that identifies parents and their children. Your child's safety is their number one priority so expect to show your stamps prior to exiting the restaurant. From a child's perspective, this is almost like Heaven! They have a big mouse, games, tokens, tickets, and prizes!!! Besides food, this is all that you need to keep them preoccupied and happy! To be honest, the main draw to Chuck E Cheese is all of the interactive games and opportunities to dance with the big Cheese himself. They usually announce that he's going to make an appearance and all of the kids become excited. All of the sudden, you'll hear some music and bam..... Here comes Chuck! The children have to follow him around as he dances throughout the restaurant in a subdued manner. He can't get too crazy in there because they want to prevent injuries. Anyway, the purpose of Chuck's interaction is to give the kids tickets. They usually go crazy once those tickets start flying! Now if the kids want more entertainment, step over to the counter and purchase a bucket full of tokens. They can be used at all of the games and most of the time, tickets are awarded once the game is over. Many of the machines are super stingy and don't give you the tickets that you truly earned. It's not uncommon to finish a round of ski-ball or shooting some hoops only to have absolutely nothing come out of the ticket dispenser. There's two ways to deal with this: 1. Ask for assistance from the manager. 2. Watch people who are playing the games and if they don't get their tickets, skip that game! I think the biggest disappointment for the children is that they need a lot of tickets to get the prizes that they want the most. So it's not uncommon to see parents purchasing the prizes when the kids are short on tickets. I think you can also pay the difference to help the children get what they really have their heart set on winning. So how's the food at Chuck E Cheese? Well, it's not that bad if you ask the kids but the adults usually have a different opinion. They have made ongoing changes to their menu over time but the food is just ok. I don't come here to eat, I come to entertain my niece and help her win some prizes. I do believe that this is a great place for children because it provides them with the perfect amount of entertainment. For people that want to avoid the expense or headaches of theme parks, this is a good alternative. Plus, there are ways to save money during your visit. Came here for a family birthday gathering on Wednesday evening and it's definitely a little more high tech than I remember when coming as a kid. Still a cool/fun experience for kids. Food is different but okay. Salad bar is good. No tokens or tickets, everything is on a card or bracelet. And definitely bring enough money because things are pricey too lol my reason for leaving a review is to take a moment to shine some light on a great employee named Charles. He seemed to be working alone behind the counter and he was so patient, friendly and kind. He would go from taking orders at the register to helping kids pick out their prizes and making sure the salad bar was clean and stocked and he did it all with such elegance. I haven't ran across a person in the service industry that gave such a good feel to every interaction in a long time. Simple, this location has games where you can actually win tickets. I have been to other locations where they have a lot of claw type games, or games where the top prize is 10 tickets. This locations has a lot of different games where you can win a good amount of tickets especially if you have the timed play cards, which is the best option anyways. They have the games where you knock down the coins to collect tickets and other variation of skill type games I guess you can say. So overall I always say Chuck E. Reserved a birthday party section for my sons second birthday for 3pm to 5pm. I got there around 2:45 and asked if I could set up some table covers to which I was informed that the party before mine was still not done and they had to clean up which was fine but the other party was still sitting at the tables even as 3pm rolled around. The first party host was very helpful and was attentive to anything I needed. Shortly after his shift ended so a new party host came along. She rarely came by to ask if we needed anything and was ignoring my party most of the time. The thing that made it all worse was that we ordered extra food since the party package only came with 5 medium pizzas and I had around 40 guests to which we waited almost an hour just for us to go to the pick up window and be told that the order was taken by someone else. They allowed guests to come by and pick up over 100$ worth of food after we waited for over an hour and had no response as to what to do!!! They said they would remake the order and have it out in 15 mins, again we waited. After almost 45 mins we asked for a refund in which they told us the order was almost done. By the time the rest of our food came out our reservation had ended and when we asked for accommodations they told us that was not possible. After spending over 600$ on the party reservation plus additional $$ for extra drinks and food I expected more. I was so disappointed and upset. The lady that's supposed to be greeting you seems to be very unhappy with her current work situation and was not welcoming at all. Chuck E. Cheese's the place where you could spend countless hours in as a kid but as an adult it borderline tempts you to want to overdose on birth control. I've only visited this location once and that visit alone was enough for me. My family has been attending Chuck E. Cheese's for generations. We frequent the Carson location because it's closer to home. I came to this location with my boyfriend and his family for his sisters 9th birthday party. We entered and it was crowded. Very, very crowded. We divided into two groups one had the task of finding a table and the other had to stand in the long line to order. Thankfully I was in the table finding group. We were able to find a table but it was dirty so we had to ask an employee to wipe it down for us. The salad bar was somewhat messy. I wish I would have taken a picture of it. There were croutons and veggies scattered all over the counter and on the floor. Still, I managed to make myself a delicious salad. Salad master over here guys! Our pizza took over 45 minutes to be brought to our table. My boyfriends mom had to go ask the ladies behind the register about the status of our order. I've never had that problem at a Chuck E. Cheese's before not even on a busy day. As soon as our pizza arrived we began to dig in. The pizza was okay; it was oily in true Chuck E. Cheese's form. The restroom was a nightmare. The floor was very wet and there was toilet paper scattered all over the floor. Wet floors are very dangerous hazards. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Mya, the birthday girl, was ready to play. The games were fun and we had a blast. Our favorite was the skee-ball and the NOS street racer game. We also cheered my boyfriend on as he unsuccessfully attempted to hoop (it's okay babe you're still our Kobe). In the end she was only able to win a couple of small items with the tickets she amounted. She was happy and had a good time and that's what matters. Employees are friendly and helpful. I know that tidiness can be the last thing on your mind on a busy day but the cleanliness of a facility really does affect a customers visit. I've been taking my kids here to celebrate good grades, or celebrate a birthday, or just to have fun. I love how they provide stamps for each family that enters. So if you arrive together, you leave together. I like the security of knowing my child will not be walked out by a complete stranger. This CEC is always crowded on the weekends and sometimes weekdays in the evening time. But you are still able to play whatever game you one. The best part is every game it's only 1 token. That's a plus for me since kids go through them like eating candy. They had variety of games for all ages. I like what they set up the games area. 1 side is mainly games and the other size is a playground with little kiddie games. Food is good. Who doesn't like pizza and salad. I mainly hit the salad bar because it's all you can eat heheh I'm down to eat healthy. Pizza is not so bad. You just have to eat it right away or else it won't taste as good. The cons is they don't have enough worker to attend guests needs. Wish they have more help so it runs smoothly. Prize aren't so bad. But you would have to go a few trip to win the good prize. My kids will love anything they can get. Any prize is a win to them. The games gives out lots of tickets. Overall, it's a spot to take kids and let them go wild and loose. My daughter has never seen them before and has been asking to see them. For her 6th birthday we wanted to surprise her. We booked at La mirada and realized they have already removed them from that location, was told that Norwalk might still have it. Called the Norwalk location and a very irritated/angry woman picked up the phone. I asked her "Do you guys still have the animatronics available for entertainment?"
