Five stars for the Norwalk Chuck E. Cheese! We're a family of six with a monthly Chuck E. Cheese pass (lifesaver with four kids), and we've been making a little adventure out of visiting different locations. Our usual spot is Cerritos, and we've been to Lakewood a couple times, but this was our first trip to the Norwalk location--and wow, we were genuinely impressed. We visited on a Tuesday during spring break and weren't quite sure what to expect. The photos online looked a bit outdated, so we were prepared for anything. But from the moment we walked in shortly after they opened at 11, we were pleasantly surprised. The place was spotless. Bathrooms were clean, staff was actively walking around wiping down games, and there was only one game not working. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, patient, and super attentive. I noticed that anyone handling food--whether prepping cotton candy, making pizzas, or serving--was wearing gloves every time. That may seem small, but it says a lot about their attention to detail and food safety. The building itself is more spacious than I expected, with a ton of updated games--some that we haven't even seen at the other locations. And the pizza? My kids all agreed it was the best Chuck E. Cheese pizza yet. We're pretty sure it's because they brush the crust with garlic butter before serving. It was a seriously good touch. We weren't expecting to see Chuck E. himself so early on a weekday, but he showed up and even played video games with my three-year-old, who was excitedly trying to get his attention. He was sweet, patient, and playful--exactly the kind of interaction that makes a kid's day. Huge thank you to the team at this location. O.M.G. I don't even want to put a star for this location. We had a birthday celebration. Staff was short staffed. There were items in the menu that were charged, come to find out that they didnt have the items. When it came for a refund, the absurdity is that they weren't able to assist with the matter. I visited the Chuck E. Cheese in Norwalk on June 13 around 3:00 p.m., and unfortunately it was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I've had. We placed our order for a large pizza and wings, paid about $90 total, and were given a buzzer. After waiting over an hour, we noticed that people who ordered after us had already received their food while we had received nothing. Thinking the buzzer might not be working, I brought it to the counter and asked an employee to check on our order. That's when we were informed that our order ticket had been lost or there had been some type of printer issue. The problem wasn't that a mistake happened, mistakes happen. The problem was that nobody bothered to tell us. We sat there for over an hour waiting while employees apparently knew there was an issue with our order. When I asked if there was anything they could do for the inconvenience, I was offered free cotton candy. Unfortunately, I had already purchased cotton candy for the kids, so that wasn't much of a solution. Eventually the pizza arrived, but the wings were missing. After waiting even longer, I went back to ask about them and was told I was supposed to bring my buzzer to the counter. I explained that I had already done that and that staff had already acknowledged losing our ticket. Another employee then told us the wings had only just been put in the oven. By the time we received all of our food, nearly two hours had passed. What disappointed me most was the lack of communication and customer service. We were repeatedly asked for our receipt after already providing it to multiple employees. No manager ever came over to apologize, explain the situation, or attempt to make things right. There was no meaningful effort to resolve the issue despite the significant delay and inconvenience. If a manager had simply taken ownership of the situation and offered a reasonable resolution, this review would probably look very different. Instead, we were left feeling ignored and frustrated. I hope management reviews what happened because no family should have to wait nearly two hours for a pizza and wings after their order gets lost. read more

I called my bank to see if anything was wrong on my end. The bank told me that they never sent the money back. This Chuck E. Cheese is not recommended for anyone. I cannot remember the last time we have been to Chuck E. Cheese. We came in to spend some time with the family for my brother in laws birthday. We went in about 6:30pm, perfect time it was not too packed at all. It was so clean and the staff was very friendly. I like the option that they have with the play cards you can either pay for points or minutes. I paid $38 for 2 hours of play time and they give you an option to pause the card 1 time. Spent over $300 for the birthday boy and invited guests. The pizza was lukewarm at best. There was beer for the grownups but out of four choices, there was only Coors light because they were out of the other three choices. Even worse, the beer was almost $13 for about 15 ounces of beer. For that kind of money, I may as well go have a beer at the airport. Not to be outdone, the salad bar was also $13 with the barest amount of choices to be called a salad bar. I take my child to this place regularly because we own an annual pass and its the closest to our home. Some of the staff are friendly and helpful. The manager however is awful she is rude will try to scam you if you don't double check what she is charging you or giving you. Last week close to the trampoline there was a bad smell like really bad smell, came to find out it was POOP it was all smeared in the carpet we had all stepped on it several people stepped on it, went to let the manager know and she said OK and did nothing about it, she didn't send anybody to clean it up or close that space for clean up she could care less mind you there are kids running around that area in socks. She didn't apologize offered wipes to clean our shoes nothing she said nothing. This is not our first bad experience with this lady. We had my sons birthday party at this location she overcharged and didn't apply our deposit to the final total, she didn't give us the birthday boy wrist band she told my husband it was not included, not true! I went and showed one of the staff and they immediately knew she was wrong and gave us the wrist band. After the party when we checked our total we found out she never deducted our deposit from the total. I called them and she knew right away and she said " you can come and pick it up" no apology no nothing. I have no idea why they choose her to be the manager she clearly hates her job. We came on 8/2 at 10:00am and had the BEST time. The staff was so incredibly friendly. There was a girl working the front who had braids and beautiful eyes (didn't catch her name)! She worked the register, cleaned the salad bar, let people in and out and worked the prize area. She ALWAYS had a smile on her face and was so good at engaging the kids. We were a party of 3 and we were all so impressed with her level of customer service! She made us wanna come back. It was very clean. Food was piping hot and fresh. Salad bar looked amazing. Such a great experience. We had went to Johns Incredible Pizza a week ago and I found it to be a complete rip off. We will be back to this location soon. read more

I went there today and although the kids had fun. However, I ordered a mushroom pizza to go and when I went to pick it up, the person in the kitchen was organizing the mushrooms with his hands and without gloves!! I had seen him a few minutes before at the register!!! I am disgusted and mortified of their lack of health and safety! I told the manager and she did not seem very concerned about it at all. This place is ridiculous. I come in and what do I hear? Barking! Now, I know Chuck E. Cheese is NOT pet friendly and only allows service animals. But, here I am walking by this Pomeranian barking and lunging. I went to the manager and complained about the dog being aggressive and having to be held by its handler. Definitely the last time we will ever be going to Chuck E. Cheese's willingly. First, they have 3 registers and only one open. The person working the register was friendly but took approximately 5-10 minutes per customer. The line began to get backed up and you would assume they would open up another register but no, even with multiple staff members standing around including what looked like the manager. Next, we ordered one large pizza, wings, 2 beers and a 120-point card: $106.31!!!! That is highway robbery! I wouldn't have been as mad over the cost if it wasn't for my next gripe. It literally took an hour and 7 minutes to get one pizza and 6 wings. After 30 minutes I began to get impatient and walked to the pick-up window to inquire the status of our food to get told "it's almost done, 10 more minutes." After returning in 15 minutes to check the status again, still not done. I did however notice a pizza sitting on the counter that looked like what we ordered. After coming back again 10 minutes later, that same pizza was still sitting there along with what looked like our wing order. I asked again about our order, and they said it wasn't ready. Finally went back a last time to ask and they finally said it was ready and lo and behold, THAT WAS OUR ORDER SITTING THERE THE WHOLE TIME!!!! Got to our table to finally eat and wouldn't you be surprised the food was cold! I was livid!! Next, I went to order another round of beer and after again waiting in a long line with only one register open to get told that I needed an I.D. per drink when I already ordered beers from the same person using the same I.D's I used the first time!! At that point I lost it and called out everything they were doing wrong to what I thought was a supervisor, but I didn't really care. Long story short, do not go here simply for the fact that you will be spending a lot of money on food that tastes worse than store bought frozen pizza and lousy service. I miss the old school Chuck E. Cheese's with the animatronic band and ball pit. This new upgraded, PC, cheap Chuck E. Cheese's is bullshit. Had a birthday here during the week and honestly my kids had a blast! This location was clean, staff was friendly and food was good. Charles was the best party host anyone could ever ask for. He was sooo helpful and constantly asking me if i needed anything and also was updating me on every activity. It made it easier for me to enjoy my child during their birthday and attend the guests without having to worry about anything else.
