We've been to many Denny's locations over the years, usually whenever we're in the mood for something simple and comforting. But today's visit was surprisingly special. For some reason, the food just tasted better and I think it might have had something to do with our server, Carlos! From the moment we walked through the door to the moment we were seated, Carlos made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. His warm and attentive service somehow made this Denny's feel like a high-end restaurant. To say the least I'm disappointed. The host with glasses completely ignored us apart from me and my wife just trying to have a nice meal, we couldn't get seated We were waiting for 30 min and our last straw was when they sat a couple who literally just got there when we were waiting. I grew up coming to this Denny's. This was the first time I have eaten here in over 10+ years and sadly, was not a great experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We came on a Saturday during the heat wave, the so saving grace was the VERY cold air conditioning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The remodel looked very nice and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, when we sat down, the table was still dirty from previous guests and the host quickly rushed to wipe everything down.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered a water and a strawberry lemonade. The lemonade was a little too sweet for me (my boyfriend ordered it), but the water tasted DISGUSTING. Not sure if it was tap? But I was quite shocked at how undrinkable the water was. It was pretty busy when we went for brunch, so service was slower. We ordered a All American Slam with EXTRA crispy hashbrowns (NOT crispy whatsoever), and the size of the bacon and sausage compared to the image was disappointing. I know that marketing images do not look like the actual meal, but we were shocked. Lastly, there was a hair on my Moons Over My Hammy sandwich as soon as they brought it out. I have not taken a bite out of it, but I feared that they would just remove the hair and bring back the same dish instead of make a whole new one. Overall, this was not a great experience. read more

Haven't been to Dennys in a hot minute, thought it would be a good time to try it out... Sunday after church. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The remodel looks great, the restaurant is clean, seating quick - which is why I gave it such a high score.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then the food came. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich and fries, $17.00. The chicken was black! I was hoping it wasn't actually burned, and that maybe it was a spice they used?? But no luck, you could taste the burned patty - where the horrible taste lingers. I asked the waitress to fix it, she told me that's how it comes!!! Would often take my mom here for brunch when she was previously local to this Denny's location. Parking in the disability spaces was often easy peasy as there were several. Shout out to Angie who often served us many times. She was always smiling, attentive, and kind even when they were very busy. Can't go wrong with the AARP discount if you have it. There was the 55+ menu that my mom would sometime order from but her favorite became the half order of nachos. I'm a fan of chips and dip so with the ground beef, cheese, peppers, tomatoes, and sour cream, it's good! Had the everyday slams for 6.99 many times as well-- also can't go wrong w/a basic breakfast. We were also good with the decaf coffee. This location can get pretty busy that they overlook things like a piece of scrambled egg on a chair. Mom is living in the South Bay now so we likely won't return to this Denny's location. We are thankful for many good visits there. 3.5 stars is more accurate but not quite a 4. read more

I visited on March 16, 2026, at approximately 2:24 PM. Carlos consistently provides outstanding service every time I come in. What stands out most is that his kindness feels genuine. He is attentive without being intrusive. Instead of interrupting your meal, he respectfully checks in from a distance with a simple "You doing okay?" and makes sure you have everything you need. If he sees that you're in the middle of eating, he gives you space and comes back later, which shows a lot of awareness and consideration for the customer's experience.
