I really enjoyed the meal here. The only thing is they lose a star for cleanliness. it's a mess. There's a broken stool at the bar. The bar is covered with projects. The walls are dirty. Came here for breakfast this morning as I am visiting friends in the area. Someone told me to check it out that the food and service is pretty good. Its tucked away in a small commercial building. When you walk in, you immediately feel that small town diner feel which I love. It reminds me when I was a kid. In observing the guests, it appeared to me that there were a lot of regulars. Another huge plus. I was going to go to my usual Denver omlette, but after eating a lot for the holiday, I opted for a small stack of pancakes and a small order of home potatoes. The pancakes were very fluffy, with the butter already melting on the top. Cakes were so warm, the butter was melting when applied to the other cakes. Potatoes were freshly cut and you can tell freshly made. Oftentimes you get potatoes that sit in a bowl under a warmer for a long time and are either hard or soggy. Not here. My potatoes had a buttery glaze on them, were hot and not crispy. Just how I like them. Our server was very personable, giving off that diner vibe. This place has gone down hill. I ordered steak and eggs. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium. My steak was dry and way over cooked. I've had beef jerky that was less dry and juicier. 3/7/16 Place is still great and the waitress is funny and very nice. She's always checking on me and my grandparents and treats them very well. She's patient when my grandma doesn't know what to get too and offers suggestions. This place is still good people! Burgers are delicious and those homemade buns are great! My husband and I came here for breakfast, I must have been hungry, because we were in the door right after opening at 7am. The place was clean, we were greeted with a smile and seated promptly. The radio was on an 80s station, so I was LOVIN the music. They were playing Tina Turner (a song that was NOT the overplayed What's Love Got To Do With It) and Arcadia (that was the Duran Duran spin off band) and all sorts of totally awesome 80s music!! I ordered the Love Me Tender, which is their chicken fried steak platter, and my beloved ordered everything else. I asked if I could get a pancake instead of toast, which they did for 40 cents extra. The food showed up fast, we both ordered our eggs over easy and they were PERFECT, and quite tasty. I mean, like really good eggs. Sadly, my pancake was barely warm. Everything else was good and the prices were outstanding. So, overall, the experience was good. Loved the music, loved the look of the place, the warmish pancake made me a sad panda, but I'll survive. I will survive.... as long as I know how to love, I know I will stay alive!!!! I absolutely love this place as it's not so busy and the wait is not even a long time like some restaurants absolutely love that you can see the cook cooking your food cuz you know it's fresh. I really like the waitress they're very nice always feeling up your cups of coffees and your sodas why you wait they come to your table non stop asking if you need anything and that if you're good I like it there old school pictures of cars and Elvis Presley pictures i really think they should have some music playing that go with there old fashion cars hanging on the wall.
