My wife and I have been to Hanford's IHOP a few times lately (primarily November and December 2024) looking for a more inexpensive breakfast restaurant. They do have some specials up until 10:00 AM, but don't be 5 minutes late at your table. And remember, you have to allow 15-20 min to be seated. Other than that, they do offer some small meal specials through the day that are often just the amount of food I'm looking for. Other than sometimes extreme wait times, the service is pretty good. We have enjoyed the food and the restaurant is always clean and neat. It does seem to be needing some corporate help in getting their act together regarding the proper way to timely seat and serve which may be a manager problem and an overseer may be able to fix it right quickly. read more

I ordered a to-go and they gave me a different order so I called them and told what happened. The lady at the phone was polite and friendly and told me that they would take care of it. First of all I can't believe I actually came to an IHOP. This is one of the last places I normally would eat at. But I was taking care of my granddaughter this week and thought I would take her to breakfast. I figured you can't go wrong with pancakes! So WTH let's go to IHOP. Now I can count on one hand how many times I have eaten here. But I will say it is always clean when I have been here. We didn't wait long to be seated. It wasn't very busy. Which was good because they were so understaffed. This poor guy looked like he was working the floor all by himself. I did see another lady working. But it sure seemed like this guy was doing it alone. I really think that's sad. Food service is not an easy profession. In fact recently I have had the thought that you don't see the professional waitress anymore. So many people think it's beneath them to be in food service. When actually it really is a job that you have the ability to make someone's day. Just by being courteous and friendly. Providing good service. So when I see someone at any restaurant that is obviously taking their business seriously. It is impressive and I tip extra all the time because of that. My granddaughter ordered the waffle combo and I had the strawberry pancakes. Nothing special really. The food arrived pretty quickly and I have to say I was impressed. My side of bacon was cooked exactly the way I asked. It was a little oily. But whatever. The pancakes I have to say were excellent and I'm a pancake snob. I will drive to Hanford to Fresno just to get pancakes at one of my favorite places. So I was happy to be at this IHOP. and enjoy this. My granddaughter must have liked her food as well because she gobbled it up. So I guess I have to give this IHOP 5 stars. Bcz it was a great visit. Will I be back??? Hmmm maybe. read more

Today 8/10/25 I went for lunch with my boyfriend at this IHOP located in Hanford. I ordered the salmon lunch, and after third bite I noticed my salmon arrived raw in the middle. I sent it back, and they told me they would prepare another one. I waited while my boyfriend finished eating, but my dish never came back to the table. While waiting, The waitress offered us more water and never brought it. I asked the waitress that I decided to take my order for to go. We got tired of waiting, and we went to pay, the cashier explained that the salmon had been frozen, which is why it hadn't cooked properly, and that the new order would take longer, so it was better to refund my money. I left without eating... hungry, upset and with raw salmon flavor in my mouth. A very disappointing experience. They should not serve raw fish because it can cause various bacterias, such as Salmonella, Vibrio, Clostridium, and Listeria, which can cause food poisoning with symptoms like nausea, upset stomach, diarrhea, and vomiting. just left ihop extremely upset. was not busy at all yet we still waited 15 minutes just to get our drinks crazy right but wait it gets even crazier after another 15 minutes of waiting every server walked right past the table my family was sitting at and didn't acknowledge us we were already over it as this was going to be our first meal of the day. Wait time was well over 40 minutes to be seated at a table. Still had to wait at the table for 20 minutes extra before anyone came to the table. The place was empty, ONLY 8 tables were filled w customers! Service was bad. Food was mediocre. Won't be returning unfortunately. read more

Hello, I went to IHOP this morning and was kind of surprised by the way the hostess was left alone to work with a very large crowd on their own. After a server cane and sat someone there was a complaint from another person and then they were sat. After 30 minutes of waiting, I asked to talk to a manager. We we're sat immediately and got a lot of help from all the servers and workers in the place. Brittney and Genesis as well as Vanessa were all great and attentive. After the talk with the Manager Mona, I saw her take initiative and help out her staff, food was great. And overall we will be back. Mona came over and spoke with me and both thanked and apologized that was incredibly professional and I appreciated it quite a bit. read more

I tried to give the benefit of the doubt because the restaurant was busy but this was the worst experience ever. The waitress was rude. Didn't even introduce herself or anything. Started off with "y'all ready to order" Mind you we just sat down and haven't even opened the menu yet. The food was good but messed up my order and when I informed her she responded with "well I didn't hear you" grabbed my plate and walked off. Let's set the stage. 2 groups at tables and no waitlist to be seated, 4 waitstaff. Not exactly a hustle and bustle atmosphere. Upon reaching the 45 minute mark of waiting for our food (4 of us ordering not like a huge huge order), we get the notification from our server Brittney that the reason it's taking so long is that she just straight up did not put it in. She then asks if we want to just leave or wait for the food. I'm already a coffee in and don't want to start the process over again somewhere else, so we decided to wait. When she asked that, it really felt like she just didn't want to continue serving us. Almost all of the food finally came out over 50 minutes from ordering, and my item was wrong. I had the menu out and pointed to the chicken and waffles while saying the chicken and waffles. There is not much room for miscommunication. I got a sandwich version that looked kinda nice but not what i ordered. Eventually, i got my plate while i let my table eat, and they got about halfway before i could start. I then checked out my chicken and waffles, and things looked good until I moved some chicken around and found a couple like sausage things? Not part of the menu item and just added to my poor experience and disappointment. Under a different light if things were going well it might have been seen as a bonus but now it just looked like negligence. The waitress did comp my coffee and my order for being wrong and late, so that's a step in the right direction. I was too upset to talk to a manager to have a fruitful discussion, so I took what I got and left it at that. I was okay with IHOP before the closing, however since reopening this place has become golden. The folks are doing a great job of making it feeling welcoming with wonderful service and good food. Being able to eat inside without having to wait and getting what I want off the menu that is prepared the way I like. They are a very good job. read more

45 minutes for 3 simple breakfast orders is a little bit too much wait. Waiters haven't even checked up on us since giving us our drinks. My kids ordered milkshakes and it took almost 15 minutes to make. Haven't even gotten our orders yet and we are already very disappointed. Their chicken fried steak was, not good. And instead of offering to comp our meal or at least offer us a discount, the manager asked if I wanted something else, didn't even apologize or anything, just asked if I wanted something else. On top of that, it's hot in here, apparently they have their thermostat set to 75°, which is just ridiculous, but on top of that, the AC isn't working right on the front half of the restaurant, where they seated us directly in the Sun. If the AC isn't working right on one side of the building, you shouldn't seat anyone there. I just loved this IHOP in Hanford! I had the Strawberry Waffle, and an Orange Juice. My Strawberry Waffle came with whipped cream. It was so tasty, and I felt that it was delicious enough without adding any syrup to it. I ate here in Hanford a few weeks ago in September. It was on a Sunday, and it was quite busy. However, my waitress, Vanessa, was very attentive none the less. She was extremely friendly, and very nice! Vanessa was quite the busy bee. She was always checking back often with me, my brother, and our aunt as well! She was cheerful, and had a great personality no matter what , considering how busy this Hanford IHOP was that Sunday. What a great dinner! Our orders were perfectly cooked to our expectations and beyond. We had a great waitress, Abbi, who was as nice and attentive as you need. The restaurant was the cleanest place I have eaten at in a long time. I haven't been here in a few years but apparently they weren't doing very well as I read the older review. Something was lit under their ass or they got a whole new staff. It was amazing . Masks not enforced. My only request is to sit people on the street side of the restaurant so people can see that they have customers. The place was empty and we got spoiled on a Tuesday night. Servers were friendly and helpful. The menu looked attractive and we had high hopes. Huevos Rancheros beans tasted like they had to be canned and they were way too salty. (I'm fine using salt in cooking to make the food palatable. But fine restaurants take care to get it just right. And they have salt shakers on the table so you can add more if you want more.) Obviously, they didn't have cooked beans that they made on site. Potatoes were pre-packaged frozen and not made at the restaurant with fresh potatoes. They were a little over salted as well. My husband's pancakes were just ok but the syrup was not ok. It tasted like it was artificially flavored with minimal authentic fruit taste. Overall the food was mediocre and one is left wondering if anything is made from scratch and fresh on sight. With all this in mind, the high prices are not justified. read more

I've eaten here several times but this is my first review. Being on vacation and not wanting to cook we decided to grab a bite here. We looked up the hours for Christmas but when we arrived the waitress said the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes-we wouldn't have come if the hours were posted correctly and maybe we should have called for confirmation. Heres the issue- as we were waiting for the waitress to seat us the cook was standing outside the kitchen and as we walked by he shook his head at us as to say "we are closing in 10 minutes why are you here?" That was so uncalled for not to mention there were 2 people waiting to be seated when we arrived. I did explain to the waitress that we looked at the hours and we apologized for coming in 10 minutes before closing. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. I ordered the cheesecake stuffed french toast in strawberry-not bad. Everything else was as you know it to be in any Ihop restaurant. read more

The older waitress (Didn't catch her name) was pretty rude and it was glaringly obvious she did not want to be there. It took about 12 minutes to get our drinks ordered. Food order came quickly but the waitress complained that we were not ready to order after 3 minutes of looking at the menu, it took roughly 49 minutes for our food (party of 3) to come out. Server did not checkup with us at all since taking the order. Ordered Crepes, it was cold and the texture was rubbery. The strawberries just sorta dropped on the fork and were mushy. The hash-browns were also not cooked all the way, very mushy. Same old story with the eggs, very runny for scrambled. I cannot verify if they would have corrected the issue, however with over an hour of waiting to eat after a long night it was not worth the time to send things back to the kitchen. Manager Jamie had bad attitude and is very inattentive. She pushes her employees around and has them go get all of her drinks and food while she collects all the tips. The server gets all tips for that table at that location, so if you see the host or another server doing everything for your table tip them directly. read more

Come here for all your breakfast and brunch needs. Their menu never fails for an early or late breakfast. Their cheese sticks are bad for your health but good for your taste buds! I joined with my family at ihop in hanford late Saturday morning, 5/1/2020, hadnt been to the restaurant in couple years....I got a breakfast burrito and it had green bell peppers in it, I thought I'd try something new....I didn't like them in it, so I took them all out, put them in a pile on my plate.....MY CHOICE..... after my family was done eating, our waitress had gathered our plates, she looked down at them, looked at me as her customer and said "next time we'll go without the green peppers, yea?." Like I waisted food, and was suppose to eat them, I'm sorry, I know you were probably having a bad day, But as a waitress working at ihop, DO NOT JUDGE WHAT YOUR CUSTOMERS EAT, AND HOW MUCH OF IT, or how much of the food on the plate that they waist, if my family doesn't want to eat the food they order, it's they're choice, not to eat it, we as customers are paying the bill, not you.
