Haven't been to Red Lobster in a long time, but we decided to try this location. From the service to the food everything was great! The cheddar bay biscuits came out fresh and hot from the oven. The biscuits, basically melted in our mouths. We got a few drinks from the happy hour menu and they were awesome. We ordered the specials- the weds special which was a steak and lobster tail and a side dish and the other one was a shrimp special with shrimp pasta, shrimp scampi and fried popcorn shrimp with fries. Went in for Sunday dinner. It has been about 15 years since we've been here. We were greeted and seated immediately. The hostess was very pleasant. Our server, Sunshine, was absolutely delightful. We started off with crispy dragon shrimp as an appetizer. I ordered a lobster punch cocktail and my husband had a modelo. The shrimp was very good. Just the right amount of heat. The lobster punch was very good as well. For the main course, I ordered the ultimate feast and my husband ordered the fish and chips. Both of our meals were delicious. The only issue I had was that the crab legs were barely warm like they had been sitting out for a while. The restaurant was pretty empty when we first arrived but about 1/2 our into our meal, it started packing in. The restrooms were very clean and the restaurant was very clean. I'm extremely disappointed with the service we received. The issue wasn't even that we were told we couldn't order from the kids menu. I simply wasn't that hungry and wanted a smaller portion so I wouldn't order more food than I could eat and end up wasting it. I understand that restaurants have their policies, and that by itself wasn't what ruined our experience.What really bothered me was how our waitress treated us afterward. We told her we needed a moment to decide what we wanted to order, and after that, it took an unusually long time for her to come back to our table. When she finally did, we ordered a brownie sundae for my birthday. We then waited approximately 45 minutes to an hour just for the dessert.When she eventually brought it out, she didn't really acknowledge us, make eye contact, or say much of anything. She basically dropped the dessert off and walked away. We then waited again for her to come back, and when she finally did, she went around to the other tables near us asking if they needed anything -- while repeatedly overlooking our table.At that point, it honestly felt like we were being intentionally ignored and treated differently from the other customers around us. I can't say for certain what her reason was, but the way we were treated made us feel singled out and, frankly, discriminated against.A restaurant experience doesn't have to be perfect, but customers should at least feel welcomed and treated with basic respect. The way this situation was handled completely ruined what was supposed to be a nice birthday experience. Had a great experience for a Friday night dinner. We were seated right away. I got a pound of crab legs and the wife got the flounder. Both were very tasty and prepared well. My family and I came here on a Sunday night, it wasn't busy at all we had a party of 8 and were seated right away. Right before that we had went to another restaurant up the street and the wait was over an hour. The staff was attentive getting our order and bring us our drinks. The food was delicious. I was worried since it wasn't packed like most places. I had the coconut shrimp with the pineapple sauce that's a tad spicy but it's so good. I will definitely be back. I don't get to go to Red Lobster very often, maybe once or twice a year, since we don't have one in my town. It's a 40-mile drive, but it's always worth it. Last Saturday, we showed up late, around 10 PM, even though the restaurant closes at 11. We were a party of four and worried they might not want to seat us, but they welcomed us without hesitation. The service was excellent, with our server being attentive to refills and all our needs. Even though it was close to closing time, our server provided outstanding service. It's clear they're a dedicated professional--treating us like their first guests of the day despite the late hour. That's the sign of a truly good individual, putting in a full day's work and still giving their best to last-minute guests. We ordered drinks and food. I managed to take pictures of the drinks, but we got carried away and started eating before I could capture the dishes. The restaurant was clean, the tables and utensils were spotless, and the drinks were tasty. While the drinks weren't as strong as I'd prefer, that's typical for many chain restaurants. Let me be honest: I didn't even eat here. Why? My partner and I walked in on a Sunday night, eagerly waiting to get sat. To our frustration, there wasn't a single employee in sight to greet/seat us. To give it the benefit of the doubt, there wasn't a sign to tell us to seat ourselves if that was the case. After waiting a few minutes, we decided to leave. First one of the fellow restaurants in Visalia that will accommodate 26 people and seated together. Two servers for our group, and unlike other Visalia restaurants they didn't charge a group fee or forced 18% tip or other hidden charges for using a credit card. Tables were clean with utensils and extra plates. Our servers were super friendly and made you feel welcome. Drinks were for various for our group but what unique is that I was unsure of tea because they said it was real and often I'm disappointed because it's not. Yet the server said if you don't like it I'll let you switch drinks. After it was served they checked to make sure I was happy. Needless, to say 26 people you just about see the entire menu served. There was one cheese burger which was cooked properly and with hot fries, fish and chips which had large pieces of fried cod and served with claw slaw. Kids at the table got chicken tenders with fries, which were moist and not over cooked or hard to bite into. Parmesan Crusted Chicken served with mash potatoes and a mixed vegetables. There was a Mariners Seafood Boil, which was stream and seasoned perfectly. Considering the amount of seafood it was great. Now the dish I enjoy myself, Endless Shrimp. Our location you picked three styles which were the Alfredo, coconut and Walt's. The price is 29.99 and is that a value? Yes sir or ma, a great value. Placed my and waited for it. Once it was placed on the table, my server asked what would I like again. Even before starting eating I ordered another Walt's and Coconut shrimp. It less than eight minutes to get the order and they wanted to know which I wanted next. The first plate included 12 rather large butter flyer shrimp. First, Walt's was shrimp was lite batter. Coconut batter was lite again with the right of coconut on it, and Alfredo paste was mixed with flavorful sauce and shrimp placed on top and again not over cooked. Three different shrimp total was 12 and two additional orders of 8 makes 20 shrimp total and probably could have finished two more orders. So with that said it was about $1.49 per shrimp. Sauces were standard cocktail and coconut sauce. I will say I wasn't a fan of the coconut sauce. Got the hush puppies as a side which to me seemed lifeless. They were just kinda bland in taste. Again, the endless shrimp special is well worth the price and I can say the Red Lobster service was outstanding. My last refill of tea the server stated I can bring that in a to go cup. Came with the family for lunch and it was great. It had been a while since we last came but the service was good. Our server was so nice and always came in to check up on us ( we were a party of 6). The food... was good everyone practically ate everything off their plates. The portions were decent as well. Of course with seafood it gets a bit pricy but well worth it and refill on drinks were of no charge (some places charge additional for specialty drinks like lemonade etc). We were seated fairly quickly, 12 of us for a birthday party dinner at 6 p.m. Our servers were very friendly and attentive and they kept our drinks filled . However, the premium side salad I ordered never came out. I wasn't paying attention, had I mentioned it I'm sure they would have gotten it for me. Oh well. Now on to the main course. I was very underwhelmed. I got the "Walt's Favorite Shrimp and 7oz. Sirloin", medium rare. The steak was cooked correctly so kudos to the cook. My plate probably sat in the window for a good while because the steak was warm-ish. The fried shrimp were a tad soft/soggy. The "loaded baked potato" was very small and pretty much room temperature when it arrived. Very few people there so parking spaces were plenty. It was very dark where we sat so I had to use the light on my phone to read the menu. As for the meal price, definitely not worth it for the food quality and portion size. First and foremost, the clam chowder was clamless!!!! WTH!!! Who does that(misrepresentation)??!!!The soup had two small cubic potatoes and the rest was creamy water with some type of fish oil added. We went to Red Lobster for lunch with my 95 year old Mom. She likes Red Lobster. Reservations were at 7:15 .... Came back at 8:30 said 20 more minutes waited it out & still nothing. Manager didn't do anything for the line to go faster or to atleast give us attention when asking hiw much longer. We waited till 9:00pm.
