We were really looking forward to dinner at what we believed would be a true steakhouse experience, but unfortunately, it was nothing close. Honestly, it felt more like a diner pretending to be a steakhouse. My husband ordered the $80 ribeye, and it was an absolute disappointment served cold and overcooked. For that price point, we expected quality and attention to detail, neither of which we received. We also ordered the calamari appetizer, and it was by far the worst calamari I've ever had soggy, cold, and completely unappetizing. To make matters worse, we ordered drinks before our meal, yet didn't receive them until after our appetizer and salad had already been served, which only added to the frustration. I truly don't know if this was a server issue, a kitchen issue, or both, but the overall experience was incredibly disappointing. Between the poor food quality, lack of timing, and disappointing service, this restaurant completely missed the mark. The casino floor is massive and impressive, but the dining experience falls short. The menu is surprisingly limited, offering almost no variety to choose from, and the food quality simply doesn't match the grand scale of the property. I had the Wagu Bacon Cheeseburger it was mid. It was lunch time which was not busy at all. And our order took a really long time to get served. When the food came my fries were cool and the burger was warm. I'm huge on ranch and to my surprise it had No Flavor at all Such a disappointment... I expected way more from a Casino because the food is usually the best!! I have never made a review before, but this one needs to be said. The food was great! My husband ordered the ribeye and enjoyed it so much that he personally complimented the chef. I had the shrimp cocktail and clam chowder, and both were delicious. The reason behind the bad review was the manager. Our waitress was absolutely amazing, she was friendly, attentive, and deserving of recognition. Unfortunately, a manager (Carmen) came to our table and apologized for our waitress supposedly being rude, even though she had been wonderful to us the entire time. The manager's comments felt unnecessary and she was unprofessional, and we felt terrible that our waitress was being spoken about that way in front of customers. We ended up tipping her extra because of how well she treated us and how poorly management is treating the employees there! My husband and I own our own business and would never treat employees in such a way! Do better! read more

Had dinner here on Sunday, May 25. The Coyote Grille is located inside the Tachi Palace Casino. After having some fun at the casino with my parents, we ended up having dinner here. We ordered the clam chowder, the shrimp Louie salad, and the Seabass and shrimp ceviche. All of the food was fresh and delicious. The clam chowder was amazing... and just as delicious as the one I had in Georgetown on the East Coast. The chowder was loaded with clams and potatoes, and was very creamy, silky, and smooth. The bread service was great, the rolls were fresh, and the butter was delicious. The shrimp Louie salad was share a bowl and included fresh greens as well as giant prawns that were tasty and fresh. The dressing was not the traditional thousand island dressing, the restaurant added a little bit of horseradish to theirs. I did not really care for it so next time I order this, I will ask for regular thousand island dressing. We also ordered fried mushrooms, and they were delicious. They came on a bed of a small micro salad with a little bit of the horseradish sauce on top. I will definitely order those again. The ambience and service was great. The restaurant is right next to one of the main entrances and the bar so there is a lot of movement and things going on around you. The wait staff and hostess were great. Their menu consists of other things such as various cuts of steaks, chicken, fish, and pasta. I'm looking forward to trying other things when I return. Enjoy! read more

Saturday, 3/11/2023 - Tried Coyote Grille at Tachi Palace Casino Resort. Address is 17225 Jersey Ave, Lemoore, CA 93245. When we arrived, I saw there was still construction going on. Parking was a little further away. But it wasn't a far walk. It was a nice, sunny and warm day. This review is ONLY for the restaurant and not the casino. Pros: 1) water tasted great. No metal, funky, or weird taste. 2) our server was very nice. 3) bathroom is outside the restaurant in the casino. So if you need the bathroom, you gotta walk out of the restaurant. Which is normal at lots of casinos. 4) all of our food dishes were delicious. Salmon cooked perfect. Not dry at all. Flavor were good on all the dishes. Even the calamari was perfectly cooked, but a little on the salty side. Sushi was delicious. 5) they provided a complimentary ice cream for birthdays. So sweet. Cons: 1) we arrived at 6pm. It was an hour-ish wait. 2) Our server didn't really check up on us. 3) we were celebrating a birthday. Our server brought out ice cream and one spoon. I guess she forgot that the rest of us was still there. We had to ask for more spoons so we can share the ice cream. 4) after our server brought our tab to us, she disappeared. We waited for a while for her to come get the tab from us. Only to find out on our own, we had to go to the front to pay. Would have been nice if our server told us. Conclusion: I liked this restaurant. It wasn't bad. The foods were good. Our server was very nice. She just needed to communicate with us and let us know we needed to go pay at the front. Once we were seated we ordered right away when we were asked for the drinks. They have the app where when we were waiting to be seated we were checking the menu. That was very convenient It made it faster for us to eat. The waiter was very attentive. He brought us everything we asked for and kept on asking if we were ok. He was very good and helpful. The Coyote Grill is the main restaurant in Tachi Casino. It gets busy. They have a large menu with items for all palates. The portions are generous and the prices quite reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised the clam chowder was thick and full of clams. A cup is a meal in itself. The plating is nicer than a diner. The service was good. Popped in right after breakfast stopped being served but the nearby plates looked delectable. Highly recommend for price, variety and ambiance. read more

We came for a late night snack. I had bourbon pecan pie and a side of ice cream. My friend had Mexicali Role. Both items were delicious! The ice cream tasted perfect with the pie and the beautifully plated sushi was just enough for two. It was topped with string crab, jalapeño, and siracha which gave it a lil' kick. This was our first visit to Tachi Palace Casino and if it wasn't for the staff and wonderful food at Coyote Grill, we wouldn't make another trip down here. Let's start out with our first day. After mass confusion with the security team and restaurant management we finally got the ok to bring our own bottle of wine for dinner. Our waitress Xochitl was our saving grace and the best waitress ever. She was very nice and very knowledgeable. I thought we finally hit the jackpot but it wasn't over. Then came the hot bread with a garlic season. This was a perfect fit with our bottle of wine. Next came the Harris Ranch Filet. This steak was to die for. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. After the first day we could help ourselves. We had to do our second visit to make sure the first one wasn't a fluke. No surprise, it was exactly the same and perfect. We also got to meet another good waiter, Christian. This young man is an up and coming star when he gets his wine poring skills perfected. Keep it up Christian, great job! Last but not least, you have to give props to the manager Carmen. These two are under her supervision and it shows that she is doing a great job! We have been starting to explore the restaurants at Tachi (only 2 so far) and this is our favorite! Let me start by saying our server Adam was amazing. He checked in often and made sure we had everything we needed when he was given a bigger table. He even brought us a pitcher of water so we wouldn't run out if his bigger table kept him away. We ordered dessert first to make sure we would enjoy it and got the pecan praline cheesecake. It is so good! Between the three of us we ate it in about 10 minutes trying to take our time but it was amazing. We ordered a few entrees to share and got a dragon roll, an order of chow mein (all in), and the steak dip sandwich with fries. We also ordered the coyote nachos. Everything was amazing, the prices weren't bad, and we had tons leftover. Where we sat you could kind if hear the band outside which my son loved and even though it was super crowded, it didn't feel like the tables were too close that you felt stuck. It was literally such an amazing experience. I never remember my servers so the fact that I do a week later shows he made a good impression! The new Coyote Grill has an inspiring and innovative new menu that warrants your attention. In the midst of messy renovations, which pretty much ruined our stay here last year, we were greeted by some stunning new developments. But the most impressive thus far has been the delicious meals we had at the Coyote Grill I had the Blackened Salmon Salad and my husband had the Lobster and Shrimp pasta We began our meal with amazingly savory dinner rolls. Crispy crust encasing a scrumptious bread which had a hint of garlic I was surprised! The salad was served separately from the salmon both were packed with flavor. I tried my husband's pasta and every aspect was perfect. The shrimp was succulent and sweet and the lobster firm and moist. The pasta favorably saturated in a slightly spicy tomato sauce. Perfect! Our server Fernando was attentive, knowledgeable and gracious as were the rest of the staff whom we had a chance to converse with. The decor has always been pleasant but l think they've made some changes. It was warm and comfortable. I'd like to see dimmer lighting in the evening to create a more intimate mood. However it works well for those who bring kiddos. We brought dessert home and I'll let you know how that turned out. I'd really like to commend the chef and staff for presenting such exquisite entrees and making us look forward to returning next year. Came in for dinner on a Tuesday. I travel with a service dog and if you have been following me you know that sometimes we have access issues. We almost had one tonight. I vacillated on wether to mention this and decided I should just so maybe there can be some staff training. When we approached the hostess stand we were greeted and asked if it would be ok if they sat us in what appeared to be a closed section. This raised my hackles a little bit and I politely asked if we were being seated in a closed section because of my dog. She said yes, but assured me there was a waitress assigned to that section. Here's where a touch of diplomacy would have gone a long way. Had she simply smiled and seated us in the section we wouldnt have any clue that we were being mildly discriminated against. I'd also like put this out there: Most teams will greatly appreciate if you place us along a wall instead of a center table and *not* seat another team a table away. I mention these because there was almost a problem tonight and I dont know if they were even aware of it. They sat us second table, center. They then seated another team a table away in the center. Their dog was not as well trained and got up, then barked at my dog. Who was in a down stay under my table on top of my feet. They were able to get the dog under control, but had they seated us against a wall and them against the opposite wall there may not have been any issue. I hate to say it but there are a lot of people who fake their dogs as service dogs and seating them so closley could be inviting disaster. (Been there, scary stuff) Ok, so this joint gets a 3paws up fron Bailey. That said, our waitress was a rockstar and brought me a pitcher of water without being asked. I was so thirsty! We put our order in, I ordered the country fried steak and he went with the colossal fish n chips. We waited a fair amount of time considering what was presented at our table!! Holy wow! The chicken fried steak was ginormous! But his fish was really quite breathtaking. It was a whole haddock fillet battered and fried! I asked for double mashed potatoes amd was not dissapointed. They were delicious. The steak was crispy under the gravy and the whole thing was just exactly what I wanted! The Mr. Wasn't as taken with the fries, but it was a personal thing, I didnt mind them. We ordered the shrimp ceviche appetizer. The jumbo shrimp were good, nice and sweet. The ceviche itself had avocado, cucumber, and overall was good too but I wasn't wowed. My entree was the 7oz filet minion with a baked potato ($5 extra...really??) My steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked medium rare. As for the food, some of it is good and some of it is just okay. There was nothing notable about the ramen; the broth had a yellow-ish tinge and there was no egg. The Pad Thai had no taste, was an odd pink color, I got the chicken version. The minimal chicken appeared to be puréed and resembled tuna. Shredded tiny and odd pink color. So in my mind I was expecting tuna taste but had no taste. Was odd. Horrible experience. Our party of four ordered purely a la carte items. Couldn't have been an easier table. Two of the people at the table didn't receive the toast we ordered. We all got at least two items each. I'm sure this is normal protocol, but why have a table of 8 plates for 4 people? Really an entire plate for a few slices of avocado. And the biggest blunder, I ordered eggs over easy. They came out totally uncooked. I made the complaint to have them replaced. But not before the hostess came to me and kind of rudely said, "oh so you wanted over medium?" Ummm... no. I wanted over easy but your "chef" clearly doesn't know how to cook that.
