This is a great place to grab a quick bite at the casino. The hot dog was very good. The cheese curds were phenomenal. They were crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside. They do not charge tax here, which is also a plus. I'd definitely eat here again.

The only issue was that my breakfast potatoes were a little cold, but everything else was absolutely delicious. We ordered the flapjacks and the prime rib breakfast sandwich, and both were amazing. The flavors were excellent, the portions were generous, and the food was very satisfying. Despite the potatoes being cold, I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place for breakfast. We really enjoyed our first visit!

This place is SUPER cool and touristy as hell . There's so much random Wild West stuff to look at…read morethat you almost forget you came here to eat. They even have an ice cream shop, which is a nice bonus. The place is definitely showing its age, though. It looks pretty run down and about half the games and machines seem to be out of order. It's got a little less "Wild West attraction" and a little more "Wild West went out of business." The beer selection? Let's just say you won't get overwhelmed by choices. Then came the BBQ... somebody needs to check on that tri-tip because that thing was THIRSTY. Dry as hell and not much going on flavor-wise. Bring water for yourself AND the tri-tip. And the coleslaw... WHERE WAS IT?! I opened the container expecting coleslaw and got what looked like a tiny cabbage salad that had lost its will to live. No creaminess, barely any flavor, just a few vegetables having a meeting. The crispy fries actually showed up ready to work. Probably the MVP of the meal. Overall, it's a cool tourist stop with a lot to see, an ice cream shop, and a fun Wild West vibe. Stay for the fries and ice cream--just don't expect all the games to work or the tri-tip to have any moisture left in it.

I remember this spot from when I was a kid so I know it's been around for years, I just don't know…read morewhy I waited so long to try it. I also know through friends and acquaintances that this is a favorite local spot for many people, so I may catch some flack for this, but here goes...First time here. I had an appointment nearby so when my wife suggested a lunch date, I couldn't think of a better opportunity to try them out. As soon as we entered I was immediately put off by this "cafeteria" style ordering. For one, I tend to always feel rushed in these types of settings and I would prefer to take my time to look over the menu. Secondly I can't stand that restaurants (or any business for that matter) have the nerve to inquire about a tip before I've even eaten and less than 5 minutes after I walked in the door. Nevertheless I played it safe and settled on an original shredded beef sandwich, add mayonnaise, no cheese with BBQ sauce. Briefly admired the side orders before feeling rushed by the growing crowd behind us, added a slice of lemon vanilla cake, and ordered a drink. The shredded beef on this sandwich was near perfect. Tender, flavorful and juicy, no problem there. The problem is I can't understand with all that goes into the care and quality of producing such a good product as the shredded beef, you're telling me that the bread and/or bun it's served on has absolutely no relevance? Disgraceful. This is a restaurant, not a backyard BBQ. Is it asking too much to show a little care and consideration for the bun? How in the world can you serve a sandwich on a plain, cold, un toasted, un grilled, raw bun?? Charging 14$ for a plain sandwich with mayonnaise on a raw bun is wild. I did enjoy the shredded beef but just as I expected the majority of the bun was a soggy mess (which is why you don't serve on a raw bun) I tried both the chocolate and the lemon vanilla cakes and they were about the same in terms of being a moist cake that is completely slathered in a thick frosting that is far too sweet. I don't know what it is about this place but It's definitely not the shredded beef sandwich, or the chocolate or lemon vanilla cake...

We ordered three different types of fries for the table but the garlic Parmesan was the main hit. I got the Santa Fe Cobb salad with the Tri Tip, thinking it would be more fire grilled meat. They basically topped the salad with cold Tri-Tip chunks which don't have a lot of flavor and looks uncooked (but not raw). I only ate a portion of the Santa Fe Cobb salad with the Tri-Tip. If I ever come in again, it's best to build your own 5 ingredient salad, which they allow you to do- so you can choose. We got the mac and cheese and wings which were good. Two people in our party ordered the Tri Tip sandwich with Cole slaw, and that appeared to be the better choice here. They have icecream which seemed to be popular for a lot of people stopping in. Still nice to be able to support a local business versus eating at a chain. Easy to get back onto the highway and journey on.

My friend ordered a steak sandwich and I ordered a salad and we shared. They also serve draft beer. The kids will love here because they have a big tree house in the courtyard and a few farm animals and a peacock! Even now, whenever I have a reason to pass through town, I make it a point to stop by. The food has always been consistently delicious, with generous portions and flavors that keep me coming back year after year. What makes this place special, though, is that it's a true family-owned business with deep roots in the community. In a world where so many local restaurants have come and gone, it's great to see a place with so much history continue to thrive. Sal's is one of those restaurants that feels like a part of Selma itself. Great food, great people, and decades of memories. Highly recommended.

I feel we should've been seated at a regular table since it was a little squished. There was a lot of options on the menu to choose from. The waiter asked if we wanted anything to drink. Everyone got water and one also got a diet soda. We also got complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were crunchy and the salsa was your average salsa. I decided to get 2 item combination plate. I got the tamale and the ground beef enchilada. The plate comes with Spanish rice and refried beans. The portion would fill up someone who was hungry. Some of the people at the table had taken some leftovers home. The Spanish rice had flavor. The refried beans was average. Tamale was a litte dry so decided to put some salsa or the enchilada sauce on it. The enchilada was good. If you want a filling meal for a reasonable price, then this restaurant is a good option.
