Wimpy's single, no lettuce, with extra onions. For $3. I made it a combo with season fries and a bottomless Ice Tea.

I ordered a Wimpy's single, no lettuce w/extra onions, and made it a combo with sm. fries & drink. Within a few minutes they called back up to the counter to pickup my order. Wow, great burger just the way I ordered it. The bun was so fresh & soft and burger seasoned perfectly as were the crinkle-cut french fries. It was delicious and cost less than $10.00 bucks, hard to find nowadays. I use to eat at this restaurant as a kid back in the 1970's when it was called Snow White Drive-In. As a person who loves nostalgia I was happy to see this Hanford Gem renovated back to its original new condition. I'll definitely be back to eat here.

Double Whimpy with bacon and grilled onions

Took the Amtrak from Fresno to Hanford and stopped at Whimpy's for lunch, just a short walk from the station. Great burgers, super friendly cashier, and Mario gave the kids free ice cream. Awesome family friendly spot!

May be the best Burger in town!

Today, I had a hankering for wings, so back to WS I went. I now understand previous reviewers ratings. The wings were edible, but poorly cooked and seemed to come from older chickens. A bit tough. Skin was rubbery with no crispness at all. My wife had some tenders and they weren't. Cooked and sat around for awhile? Now, the French fries were excellent! If I just wanted fries to eat I would go to Wing Stop and buy theirs. We had decided to eat in to make our outing a bit more fun than a take out order would provide. We somewhat regret that decision. The place obviously had no heat and was cold. Additionally, some employees were non stop yakking in the prep area and one lady had a loud shrill never ending commentary to whatever the conversation was. Halfway through our meal, realizing it was causing communication problems la with my wife, I walked to the counter and asked that they hold the loud talking down. The lady told me "okay". A few minutes later loud acid rock started blaring out from the food prep area. Loudly so. We hurriedly finished our meal and departed. I feel certain that was their intent. Except maybe a take out order of fries, I won't be back.

Finally made it to the Castle Grille after hearing good talk about it from friends and reading reviews on Yelp. My wife and I stopped for a brunch time meal and we were amazed by the scope of offerings. My wife selected a burger with Ortega chilis and added avacado and cheese as well. It also came with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. A really yummy sandwich. We mentioned we planned to split it, so they cut in half nicely. I ordered the Small order of Asada fries, which also came with lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños, as well as the well prepared carne asada Two forks were sticking up in the tray of this. Tasty dish for us to split that also. Service was fast as well as pleasingly polite, by the young couple who were working hard for customer satisfaction with smiles and suggestions. The inside is decorated like a 1950s diner evoking pleasant memories from our youth. Also, the place was spotlessly clean. I think there are a lot of folks around the Hanford area who have yet to experience the Castle Grille, and my suggestion would be to do so at one's earliest convenience. Prices also were very fair for this economy and economy and well appreciated. A beautifully printed take out menu was given to us to be able to remember to come back and what we would be coming back for. The take call in orders for pick up an Al's gave delivery available. What else do you need ? We hope to see you there soon.

The server was well versed in the menu and took on 10 tables by herself. She also gave a fun fact about the ceiling. I might have to come back for the spicey chicken but splitted the chicken bowl with my boss. We liked the flavor of the chicken and garlic sauce. I'm so sorry but the salad was not good. I'm so happy I didn't get my own salad. It had minimal crunch and my rice was cool. I did not notify the waitress but to remake my food would be time consuming. Which they did have a sign that said they would fix any issues. I loved that!Overall I'm happy it was a cute spot in downtown Hanford. Oh I also got hummus didn't like cold tomato's on it but I'd order it without and maybe extra olive oil and paprika. Overall 4 stars for the waitress. She is so impressive handling tables. Things I would suggest. A hummus trio plate. I wanted to see how spicy the spicy hummus one was. They didn't have samples...

We came for the Hope Family Wines dinner on October 8 and it was a genuinely lovely evening…read more Four courses, each paired with a Paso Robles wine. The filet mignon with pistachio butter was the standout -- properly tender, and the Quest Cabernet Franc poured alongside it was a smarter choice than the obvious Cabernet would have been. The whole menu leaned into autumn: stuffed pumpkin soup, sweet potato under the seared scallops and shrimp, and caramelized pumpkin with vanilla bean ice cream to finish. Chef Fernando clearly put real thought into it, and the room was beautifully decorated for the occasion. The hospitality was warm throughout -- unhurried, attentive, never fussy. For a restaurant in Hanford to put on something this considered is unusual, and we'd happily come back for the next one. If you've been meaning to try Fugazzi's, go when they do one of these wine dinners.

Unfortunately, the service was very slow. I sat in the bar area during happy hour and waited over an hour for my food. While I understand happy hour can be busy, the restaurant didn't appear overly crowded, so the wait felt excessive. Communication from the staff about the delay would have made the experience much better. The food quality was the highlight of my visit, but the long wait and slow service made the overall experience disappointing. I hope they can improve their timing because our community could really use a great local dining option.
