First time at this location. Wanted to try something different. Service was good but restaurant and bathroom was dirty. No soap or toilet paper in ladies bathroom. Every order had an issue. First one they didn't have the sauce. Second one they didn't have macaroni salad. Salad was good but everything else was substandard. To quote my son "I don't know how you can screw up a chicken sandwich but this is the worst one I've ever had". No one liked the chicken strips. If you want ranch dressing it's 99 cents for a tiny little cup of it. Definitely won't be going back. It was expensive and food wasn't that great. We drove all the way from Visalia to try this location, and it was a huge disappointment. The restaurant was extremely dirty--windows, doors, and even the handles looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The bathroom was worse... toilet paper rolls were literally on the floor. The whole place had a disgusting smell. As for the food, it didn't make up for anything. The chicken was undercooked and not crispy at all, and the fry portions were noticeably small like we got shorted. It's frustrating because the Fresno and Clovis locations are so much better and clearly held to a higher standard. This location needs serious improvement. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if it ends up closing if things don't change. Unfortunately, we'll just be making the drive to Fresno or Clovis next time. read more

An unfortunate remnant of what once was. Though the customer service was excellent, the food left to be desired. I recall going to the old Chicken Shack with friends after our college classes, and ordering the #3 meal with the Hot BBQ. Sure you had to wait, but it was damn good. You'd be waiting for your order, and there would be a line out the door of both customers & doordashers also waiting for their order. Now the restaurant has lost it's magic. Was there last weekend and I should have known to go in after noticing the very dirty glass door as I walked in. I then paid 30 bucks for 2 meals ( I know the costs are high) and the chicken was dry and tough in some spots. Will never ever go back. Tried this place the other day with a friend and had the habanero mango wings. They were just alright. I guess I need to try their tenders which are supposed to be amazing! Maybe next time. I have always been a chicken shack lover and they were so good I'd make the drive just for there garlic fries n tenders but my god how this place after moving locations to the old Arby's get so bad I made a out of town trip just for this meal I notice they no longer serve hot fresh food and on a Friday night upon ordering I notice a few baskets of French fries and tenders on the friers already cooked but didn't pay much attention to them that was my food they cold and nasty I took my meal up and told them nothing is even warm can u remake it and they then got vengeful still cold chicken and fries only this time I only got a few cold fries in my garlic meal I asked the guy did I make you mad look at this showing him all the garlic and a few fries he said no they just made it fresh that was a lie. Flat out it's really sad to see this place go to pot like this (everyone goes to raiding canes it's cleaner and food is always hot) but they have nothing over chicken shack if only chicken shack would put in effort that they use to . I wasn't going to post this, but they left me on read in their DM's. We were kid free, but my husband was hurt so we opted for take out. We hadn't tried the new location yet, because the drive through line was always ridiculous. When I got to the drive through speaker the person was polite but when I asked a question about a menu item the person just said "I don't know it just started here" rather than offering to ask someone else. Next, the price, $13 is a little steep for plain chicken strips with no sides. The food...my husband enjoyed his fries, and the pickles were good (not great). The potato salad was home made tasting which is a plus, but it was super bland. I had clearly requested strips with barbecue sauce on them and I ended up with plain. A drive thru is a nice option, but not if you are messing up orders. It would have been easier for me to check my order had I gone inside, but I shouldn't have to. Overall I'm a little bummed we ended up with this for our kid free dinner. Will we try them again, not sure because we have never had a great experience at an actual brick and mortar store with them. I've frequented this location quite a bit over the years. It's gotten worse and after today's experience deserves a review to let people know what you're getting. First off the quality of chickens/fries you get is hit or miss. I don't think I've gotten a meal lately that isn't either overcooked or not fried enough. Fries are either beyond edible from being too fried or they're floppy and cold. The chicken tends to be under fried almost 'naked'. And under seasoned, requiring the sauces they sell. The reason for this review is I ONLY go to Chicken Shack because of the sauces. They're good enough that I'll put up with the inconsistent food quality to cover it with the sauce. Today we ordered through door dash and the employees at chicken shack didn't include any of the sauces that were part of the order. After calling the location they deferred any responsibility to door dash and simply stated I could come pick up whatever they forgot. But maybe they don't understand the purpose of paying for door dash is because the customer can't or doesn't want to leave their home, meaning you as the restaurant should ensure everything is included in the bag prior to handing it over to the door dash driver. So here's your warning about this place. The food is lackluster, the sauces are delicious. Probably not worth the price overall but I've kept going back. read more

They changed the fries a while back and they just don't taste like real chicken shack anymore. As soon as they moved across the street it just went downhill. Employee was too busy watching a lakers game, which they were talking about over the intercom saying "I can't believe they didn't fuckn play Anthony Davis" then saying "what was that again?" Finally when given the food employee handed us the drinks which one of the drinks didn't have the lid on correctly resulting in it spilling all over my car.... Very annoying and unprofessional. I was fully prepared to hate everything about this place based on the reviews. Reluctantly we decided it was a "crap shoot" and decided to give this place a try. I will say I was pleased to find our order well prepared with generous portions. My husbands chicken was moist and tender as well as were the fries. I had the wrap and I will admit arguably the best chicken wrap I have ever had. My only negative is directed to the manager. If you are not going to supply your restrooms with toilet paper please shut them down for public use. Your employee response was "yeah we have been out of toilet paper for a while". I offered to go to The dollar store to pick some up or suggested they put a stack of your napkins in there. This is totally acceptable, considering this is an easy problem to fix. Chicken fingers looks more like fried shrimp, they are so small! The wings look like chicken nuggets. Seems like as their price goes up the smaller they get. First let me say I have never got greeted anytime I have came inside the lobby to do my order..but besides that...I only buy the Buffalo chicken fries from here they are bomb...very tasty and it's a good size serving that can probably feed two and maybe even three, like if you had a child with you and you dont want to buy a separate entree meal or kids size meal. The upside to this restaurant is that every-time I have come inside the lobby always has clean tables and chairs. They also have high chairs if you need one for the little one..however the only reason I came inside was because drive thru was super long and going slow. I seen no one in lobby order area accept a dasher waiting on his order so I thought it would be quicker. Boy was I wrong..I didn't get my order taken until almost all the cars that were in the line when I drove up we're almost gone and I'm the only one in the order area and there are customers waiting at dining tables for their food still. Lobby customers seemed to get taken care of after they cleared the drive through. It's just a little disappointing.
