Coming from Nashville, the home of Nashville Hot Chicken, I was surprised how much I enjoyed Dave's Hot Chicken! I tried the #1 which had two tenders (I chose extra hot) and I elected to try the Kaleslaw, which was very good. The only unfortunate things that was a little bit disappointing was that they didn't have a 3,4,5,etc. tender portion unless you jumped to the catering options and 10 tenders. And they didn't have bone-in wings. The service was phenomenal! Fabulous help for my first time trying this place out. And they even had Sweet tea. If you like Nashville Hot Chicken, give them a shot, just realize you're not gonna be full...they really need a 3 and 4 tender option added to the menu. read more

I'm usually an Angry Chickz girl but decided to switch it up and try Dave's Hot Chicken. I'm so glad I did!! I got the #3 (1 tender, 1 slider, fries) and everything was so crispy and tasty. I got light mild the spice level and didn't feel any heat at all, so if you want an actual kick, definitely go hotter. The cheesy sauce it came with was fire and tied it all together. Yesterday I took my son here for the first time. My son was super excited to get boneless wings and fries. I asked the person at the register which flavor was similar to Buffalo sauce, he said mild. My son wanted something a little less hot so I ordered him light mild. We did have to wait a while but it's understandable as the place was very busy. After getting the food home, my son said he didn't like the flavor of the saucy bites he said it had a different flavor than he was expecting. It was different to me too and then I realized it was a dry rub and not a sauce like flavor, but it was still good IMO nonetheless. He did like the fries and sauce so he ate that. We will be giving DHC another try and order a different sauce or a different menu item all together. read more

This review is based on the reaper sandwich alone. I've ordered from Door Dash a few times so I can't speak of wait times or the restaurant itself. I ordered a Dave's #4, the single slider with fries. The star was the chicken. It was moist and tender, and paired really well with the slaw and pickles. Loved how they loaded up on the pickles, too! Fries were fine, nothing too special. My main issue is that I ordered a medium spice level, but it wasn't even spicy at all (and this is coming from someone with very low spice tolerance). Also, I'm personally not the biggest fan of the sauce - it runs on the sweeter side and I wish it was little more tangy/had more of a punch. read more

I went back today to try their mozzarella squares and they were completely sold out. Fine. It happens. I order a "vanilla shake" with a cereal topper. The thing is more than $10. I also ordered a side of Mac N Cheese. That was it. Pretty simple. My order got lost. I don't know how. There was only a single person that ordered before me. After 10 minutes of waiting for my number to be called I approached the counter. There was a girl who was very nice in taking my order but it seemed like she was new. Also fine. She scrambled to find my order once she realized I'd been waiting longer than I should have. The Mac N Cheese gets bagged up, and it looks like I paid a dollar per bite. They also make my "shake". It is literally soft serve placed in a large cup with a scoop of cereal on top. No mixing. No blending. No shaking. There is so much empty space in here I feel like they just stole from me. I should have trusted that small voice telling me to remember my last experience. I won't be visiting again. Even if they manage to restock the mozzarella squares. Stay away. Of all the daves hot we have been to (quite a lot). This is by far the worst one of them all. Employees are obnoxious and oblivious to customer service. If you can wait. Drive 20 more minutes to Fresno. Bathrooms were filthy. Food was not up to standards. Shake machines out of order. read more

They make you sign a waiver for the reaper! It was spicy, but I've eaten hotter. The four of us enjoyed our food. Ranges from medium to hot for the others. The sliders were good, big piece of chicken. Pickles were nice and thick slices, good flavor. Fries were ok, not a lot of them. Definitely a worthy chicken sandwich option. Service was great. Counter staff was helpful and friendly. Bathrooms were definitely clean. Inside was clean but not real big. Good sized patio area for when it's warmer. Drive thru option too. First time ever trying Dave's.... I went through the drive-thru and ordered a #4 - slider and fries. They have several spice levels. I debated between mild lite and mild, eventually choosing mild. Drinks do not come with their combo meals. The order arrived quickly and my initial reaction was that the sliders are HUGE. The fries had that tummy spice mixture on it. The slider had cole slaw, a pickle and some kind of sweet mustard. The meals came with extra pickles and a sauce. Chicken was good but a little chewy.
