I would never go back there for food. My cheesesteak sandwich was gross and the fries tasted like old oil.

At first I was skeptical about the rating, number 2 in the US? There's no way! We were on the way…read moreto sequoia and this was part of our itinerary. Safe to say that it deserves its place. We showed up a bit after opening and the staff were ready to make our sandwiches, there was enough to get through the morning ! Me and my friends ordered different sandwiches. I got the Hollywood tremor and it was soooooo good. The bread was fresh so it' was nice and crunchy and soft, at the same time. The meat was fresh and everything just worked and tasted amazing. I also got the watermelon lemonade and it was so delicious! I took my breakfast to the back and it had a nice little seating area with a pretty cool view. It made my morning! After backpacking sequoia we went back and ordered even more sandwiches because it was that good! 100/10 definitely would recommend and I will be coming back if I ever go to sequoia again! Also if you're ever going to the national park this place is the last area for data.

FIVE STARS!! even after visiting again 8 years later. Whenever my friends would say they are…read morevisiting the Sequoias, I ALWAYS told them about this sandwich shop and that they HAVE to go. As the years went on I was a little wary of giving them that recommendation since it's been so long since I've been there...but good to know it's still just as amazing 8 years later. They have updated the interiors and there is plenty of seating both inside and outside the sandwich shop. We opted to sit outside so that we could see the river (even though it was 90+ degrees...but in the shade it was a cool 85 degrees) Gourmet Green 5/5 turkey, creamy almond cilantro jalapeno spread (not spicy to me) kind of reminded me of the green goddess sauce, red onion, roasted red pepper, havarti and spinach. Everything just worked beautifully and it basically felt like eating a salad. Blue Cheese Potato Salad 4/5 I wanted this to be more blue cheesy, but it was still pretty tasty. Though when my bf tasted this, he said it was really blue cheesey so maybe I just want it to be way more intense tasting. So glad that this place is still here and that they still are super delicious :)

I finally got to try Subs n stuff for lunch today! Unfortunately, I didn't get to choose how my…read moresandwich was made, but now having had the (hot cheese steak) sandwich I can. More cheese. Other than that; no complaints. Service I've heard is super nice and I can report that it still is. Super friendly mom and pop sandwich shop making some very good sandwiches. Can't discuss ambiance yet until I can make my way down to see it for myself. This sandwich took me by surprise. For $13 you get a ten inch sub. It was packaged nice, it looked big and full of meat. Bonus there cause alot of places get skimpy, they sure don't. The inclusion of mayo was different but not bad, It gave an added butteriness to the overall flavor which was nice. The meat itself was seasoned, maybe a little over salty at first, but again, this sandwich was one that really grows on you. The bread was soft, a little chewy but added to the texture to add another positive note. It was a sandwich so good, it was absolutely worth finishing. It's made me want to come back and try out a cold sandwich and even the Mexican food they have on the menu. I'm big on an Asada Burrito and they make one! So can't wait for the next time to come down and give them another try!

Really, really enjoyed Don't Bite The Bone BBQ. The pulled pork was on point and had a ton of…read moreflavor, but the Texas Twinkie was the real standout. Honestly, one of the best, if not THE best, I've ever had. Definitely something I'll be thinking about next time I'm craving BBQ. The place itself was nice and clean with plenty of indoor seating, which was a nice bonus. Great food, good atmosphere, good service and definitely worth stopping by if you're in the Traver area. Parking is a little limited but there's plenty at Bravo Farms across the street. I'll definitely be back and already salivating for my next visit.

Being a huge smoker myself, I walked across the street to check it out. They didn't open until later in the day. After I was done with work in Turlock, I returned to the restaurant for a late lunch. Ordered the 2 meat combo ( brisket, pork ribs, mac & cheese, corn bread, and spicy sauce) for $33. Not a bad price. Pork Ribs - very well done. Could have used a little more flavoring, but overall, I would have been happy if these were my own ribs. rating: 4 Brisket - tasted ok. I thought there wasn't much of smoke taste. The bark was not very good. No smoke ring. Overall - it was good, but I have had way better brisket (including my own). Rating:3 Corn bread - tasted horrible. I didn't care though because I wasn't here for the corn bread. Mac & Cheese - bland. Not very good. But once again, I wasn't here for the corn bread. Overall - I would give this place a rating of three. If you never had a good BBQ or don't smoke your own meat, I think you will find this place to be exceptional. But if you are a decent smoker, you will be disappointed in this place.
