We love both Bravo Farms locations! Depending on which set of parents we see, we'll be either here or the Kettleman City location. This location has improved tremendously over the years! Burnt Ends Burrito (4): This is a staple of ours. I tend to get this every time we stop. Great smoky flavor every time but the meat has changed from solid brisket to shredded beef. So this would definitely be worthy of 5 stars but I'm knocking it down due to my previous experience of it being some good fat chunks and shredded beef. The smoke flavor was still prominent and the burrito overall was still good. Classic Burger (3): Good burger. Nothing really spectacular but it was good. I wouldn't call it gourmet. Just your typical restaurant style burger. Beer (5): Worth noting. I got a blood orange IPA from (I forget which brewery) not sure. But it was delicious! They serve it in an ice cold frosty glass which kicks any beer up a notch. It was super tasty and complimented both the burrito and burger well. Overall if you're visiting Bravo Farms on your travels and you need some food, this is a decent option to 'fill the tank' or tide you over. read more

Wild Jack's is part of a chain that serves as a full rest stop for folks traveling to Yosemite / Sequoia National Park with a full restaurant, restrooms, small souvenir shop, and even a petting farm / dairy farm in the back. Parking can get a little crowded as there's only 10-15 spots out front, but there's some more parking across the street at the neighboring businesses which are closed on Sundays. Pricing is about 20+ bucks per entree, but the portions are pretty large. There was a small line around 12:30 PM on a Sunday, but it's self service to seat yourself and bus your own table. BBQ Chicken Quarter: Chicken was actually fall off the bone and tender. Not super juicy, but good amount of smoke flavor. All in all, pretty big and decently tasty. St. Louis Ribs: This was just okay; ribs weren't super meaty and I wasn't the biggest fan of the bbq sauce (lil too sweet for me). Definitely weren't tough and even with the chicken quarter combo, came with 4 ribs. Wild Salmon Sandwich: This one comes with a huge slab of salmon fillet. Bang for buck, really solid deal. Salmon itself is nice and the slaw adds crunch, creaminess, and tang. Burger bun was probably the weakest link and was just a touch dry. It's a nice road trip pit stop. Right along Hwy 99 North as part of Bravo Farms. Good selection of sandwiches and other eats. We ordered three different types of fries for the table but the garlic Parmesan was the main hit. I got the Santa Fe Cobb salad with the Tri Tip, thinking it would be more fire grilled meat. They basically topped the salad with cold Tri-Tip chunks which don't have a lot of flavor and looks uncooked (but not raw). I only ate a portion of the Santa Fe Cobb salad with the Tri-Tip. If I ever come in again, it's best to build your own 5 ingredient salad, which they allow you to do- so you can choose. We got the mac and cheese and wings which were good. Two people in our party ordered the Tri Tip sandwich with Cole slaw, and that appeared to be the better choice here. They have icecream which seemed to be popular for a lot of people stopping in. The first time we came here I ordered the pull pork sandwich for lunch and thought it was too salty and didn't like it. But two years later we came back because we needed to charge our car so we came for dinner. My husband liked it the first time we came so I thought I would give it another chance and ordered the Cobb salad with brisket. The salad was huge with a lot of ingredients but even though I used only a third of the salad dressing, the salad came out pretty soggy. This is where I think less is more. The amount of ingredients was too much. The atmosphere is fun though especially if you have children. There's a little petting zoo where you can feed the goats and other farm animals. We thought that Tri-Tip was good, but the sandwhich wasn't anything special. The Cilantro Lime Wrap was filled with veggies, this is a great option for healthy food, but it lacked in protein inside. One of the appeals of this place was that they used fresh cheese from the attached bravo farms. white cheddar Mac and cheese was heavenly and I drive 40 minutes to get it. imagine my surprised to pay more money for velveeta Mac n cheese. No longer do they use the white cheddar which is literally feet away from the neighboring bravo farms. This was strictly to increase profit and to screw the customer. you also have to wonder what kind of self proclaimed restaurant can't have a semi original recipe for MAC N CHEESE and uses velveeta. Lisette has such an endearing voice when answering questions and reading out orders and I was too shy to compliment her, but I really appreciate the warm and inviting energy from everyone, and the amazing food. It's my new tradition to stop by and support the staff and animals (especially the goats), whenever I'm passing through the area. They didn't have a few of the things available I wanted to order on the menu so I settled for the pulled pork sandwich, the pork is really soft and tender but doesn't have much flavor, taste pretty bland. If you order this make sure you ask for a side of bbq sauce to put in it if that's how you like the sandwich. Also I usually enjoy almost all coffee drinks but their ices lattes are pretty bad, wouldn't recommend. Strawberry lemonade is pretty good though. read more
