This place is a great casual dining spot for the whole family. Go to the register when you're ready to order, then pick wherever it is you would like to sit. Food is freshly prepared and tastes delicious. We ordered the chili verde wet burrito and the chicken fajita salad. The burrito tasted authentic and was very filling. The salad was refreshing and light . **They also serve beer and wine at this location ** read more

I love this location. Whenever I'm craving a grilled chicken salad, Figaro's is my go-to. My Mango Salad w/grilled chicken is so fresh and decent size portions. The restaurant is always super clean and organized. The waitstaff are very friendly and efficient. I've never had an issue with my order, it's always been accurate. I came by here yesterday because I was craving their Mango Salad. I usually order it with Chicken, but this time I got the grilled shrimp! This is such an amazing salad! Probably the best salad I've ever had! I've even gotten my 80 year old mom hooked on this salad! Always wonderful service! You've gotta come and order one for yourself! I guarantee you will thank me that you did! read more

I have come to this location a few times now, and they always blow it out of the park. The employees are always so nice and friendly, the food has been amazing (I love a classic bean and cheese burrito and their mango salad), and I love the restaurant itself. The salsa bar is amazing because I don't have to ask them for extra salsa I can just get it when I need it. The vibe is really nice and when we dined there once the sun from the windows was in our eyes and they were happy to close the windows shades for us. Overall super friendly and great food. I come back all the time! read more

Wow. Just amazing. I am a long time Yelper and am a Yelp Elite Member so I really try to be objective and very precise with my reviews. Food : Five Stars Atmosphere : Five Stars Staff : Five Stars Price : Four Stars Met with some friends who recommended this fine establishment. Staff was terrific. Polite, efficient, smiling. My wife and I ordered chicken and chile verde enchiladas with refried beans and rice. The rice was unlike any flavor I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and flavored. Same with the beans. The real stars were the enchiladas. Tender meat and flavored perfectly. I can count on one hand how many five stars I have given out. We will definitely be back to see if they can be consistent. read more

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Great food, great staff and great sauces! The service was quick and all the portion sizes were generous.

Just OK IMO! Came here for a dinner with friends on a Sunday night. Plenty of seating. You order at the register and they bring out your meal to you! My friend got chips for the table and I did enjoy that they had a salsa bar where you get your own salsa. Can never go wrong with chips and salsa! Dos Tacos Plate (3/5): I got the 2 taco plate and you get to choose your choice of meat. I opted for salmon. Additionally, you got your choice of beans and I chose black beans. There was so many toppings on it I could barely taste the fish. It was a bit too overpowering for me. I also thought the rice and beans were just meh. Overall, I had a pretty OK experience. Would not necessarily go out of my way to get this but if I had it again, I wouldn't mind. read more

We stopped on our way to Yosemite. It was a perfect lunch pit stop. We were able to cool the car off (104°F outside) while we sat indoors and had a great meal. We ordered the following: Horchata Shrimp Quesadilla Asada Nachos Chicken Tacos. Meat in the dishes was flavorful. Horchata was very refreshing. Portion size was very generous. We had leftovers for dinner. Pleasant staff. Variety of Salsas in the bar. Well stocked. This will be a must visit lunch stop for us in the future. You should check the restaurant out for sure! read more

This is my first time to eat in Tulare. Although I visit the area a lot I usually go to see Family, that's most of my meals are at home.Yesterday, i was with my bf and did a little window shopping as well as looking for an item he needed for an event he had to attend. By the time we finished finding the item and bought it at #1 Sports, I found myself looking at Yelp to find a place to eat. What caught my eye was a shrimp burrito. I was going back back-and-forth between having Poke/Ramen or Mexican food. I have no regrets for choosing this Mexican grill because it was awesome. As I walked in with my boyfriend, i already felt the difference. So as we claimed a table, I realize that we have to order first your food and a nice lady came up to us Michaela or Mikayla (hope i spelled your name correctly) gave me and Mei Mei bf) a quick orientation or overview of how the restaurant works. I mentioned her that I was a visitor and did not live in the area. I asked her what her recommendations were in terms of food and she gave me her recommendations. When you look at their menu, there's just so many items that are all healthy. I heard that their salads are the best and at that moment in time I was just ready fixed on having a shrimp burrito so that's what I ordered. My boyfriend on the other hand ordered something w/ Carne Asada. He was originally looking for Carne Asada fries, but they didn't have that because they do not have a lot of fried food which goes along with their mission of having healthy items to eat. At my urging, I recommended the nachos fiesta style. When it arrived, it was so big and so was the shrimp burrito. I really enjoyed the ambience because it was so nice and relaxing inside the restaurant. In addition what added more value to the meal was their salsa bar where they had homemade variety of salsa. and I tell you it was the best. I do recommend this place and next time I do come back I'm gonna try their salads. I look forward to having another meal there and thank you to our new found friend, Mikayla. read more

I have tried Figaro's twice now before I decided to write a review. The first time I ate there was takeout after a 30 minute drive home. I felt as though this isn't a fair judge due to the food not being at the peak. My family and I stopped in after a long road trip to grab a bite to eat. It was 5pm on a Friday night and it was completely empty. About 5 minutes after ordering, party after party came in and made it super busy. The portions of food are massive (they can be split) and the prices are right on par to any other places you may go to in the Central Valley. The cashier was friendly and informative. The service was very quick and the food came out in less than 10 minutes. There wasn't anything super special about our meal that made it memorable. You do have access to their condiment bar to grab salsas and toppings but I believe this is a double edged sword. Previous patrons dirtied the area and depleted them of a few of their salsas. This area was not attended to while we were there and that raises some sanitation issues. Would I come back again? Possibly. I love giving places second chances because there is always room for improvement. However, I would rather support a local mom and pop authentic place in the area before I head back here. read more

Let me start off saying I rarely give 1 star reviews but in this case, I felt it was warranted. Our Figaro's in Visalia closed promptly and seemingly without any warning. The Visalia location was amazing! Never had any problems with the food or customer service. Always a 10/10! Welp...the other night when I had a hankering for Mexican food I thought why not try the Figaro's in Tulare. How much different could they possibly be?! Boy was I wrong! You wouldn't even think they were from the same franchise! I went there with my sister. She ordered the steak dos taco plate and I ordered the steak torta plate. We should've immediately known something was up when the waitress carried our plates to us with no potholders and didn't tell us "ooh careful hot plate!" Yikes! Let's start with my torta plate. It seemed like it was an order they forgot about and attempted to re-heat or something. Or maybe the last of the steak, beans and rice scraped together before wanting to start a fresh new batch for my sister cuz her food was pretty good! The whole meal was terrible, top to bottom. My torta bun was extremely soggy which was an immediate turn off when I bit into it. I tried to salvage it by deconstructing it and I was just gonna eat the steak and veggies inside, but the steak was overcooked, a little burnt and scarce. So I moved on to my rice and beans but they were cold! Which leaves the chips aka my last ditch effort to be able to eat something cuz I came in there STARVING and ready to eat a great meal...and they were stale! There was absolutely no redeeming quality for my torta plate. Oh wait, that's not true. The horchata was fine. After taking one bite out of each component of the dish I got the courage to address the issue after my sister finished her delicious, hot and FRESH meal. When I brought my plate up to the cashier and explained I did not care for my meal, and let her know that it was not good and went over my reasons I've stated here, the cashier said something along the lines of "I'm sorry you didn't like it but the chef made it correctly." When I asked if I could get a refund, partial refund, if they could remake the torta plate for me OR if I could get something else the ONLY THING she offered was 20% off my next order there. What?! I would never return to this location! How is this good conflict resolution? After going back and forth with the cashier I accepted the 20% off cuz my sister enjoyed her meal and she could use it. We thought we would be handed a coupon or something somewhat official but I kid you not, the cashier proceeded to grab a yellow sticky note pad and write down my sister's name and cell phone number and that was it. This was the same cashier that took my sister's order and she was so rude. I bet you if my sister WERE to come back to cash in on the "20% off", that sticky note is long gone and the cashier on shift has no idea what we're talking about. That would be the terrible ending to this awful experience. The weird part is the cashier asked if we wanted to box up and take home the disgusting torta plate meal. What? No..no one would want to eat this. I've never been to a restaurant that has ever treated me like this when I was unhappy with a meal. I was flabbergasted that they had no intention or desire to make this right. Just dreadful customer service and food. We will not be back. I forgot to take a picture of the torta plate but here's the receipt as proof of purchase. read more

I enjoyed my meal here. The staff was all smiles and friendly. I couldn't read the menu board, so a staff member gave me a paper menu. I had a cheese enchalada and a chicken taco with rice and beans. It was very tasty. Although nowhere on the menu did it state that there were chili's in the cheese enchalada. Therefore I had heartburn after eating. While I enjoyed the food, the food did not enjoy me. read more

I normally LOVE this place. I'm super annoyed because I made a pick up order so that way I can just run in and pick it up. I get there, there's 15 people in line and only 1 cashier. I went up to the front and was like I have a pick up order, she's gonna tell me I have to wait in line. Like what? No, why would I? I called and order it ahead so it would be quick. They really need to have a pick up line as well. read more

The restaurant is super clean. It feels really nice. A lot of space to sit .the Food is so yummy!! I was surprised that it was because it's not an authentic Mexican food place, so it seems, but it is authentic. The sauces are stupendous .. it actually is better than Some ..the Asada and Barbacoa tacos are so yummy and the meat was so big and chunky .my favorite to get is the mango salad with grilled chicken and the pineapple water with orange are the it's the best combo. The girls there very sweet.. The only complete that I have is a younger guy I was told he is the. supervisor ..on Saturday nights .ones night he stood there over-the-counter, staring at us with a mean expression .. pressuring us to leave when they were still 25 minutes to go. We were already picking up helping out, so the waitress wouldn't have to wait for us, even though the waitress was so sweet about it and said to not worry about it .it was so uncomfortable having him stare us down ..other than that. Everything is great. If I was the owner, I would seriously put a stop to that type of attitude from the supervisor rushing people out so he could close early before time. if the owner sees this, I would definitely put a stop to that behavior because from that person alone can ruining a business. read more

I am a long time patron of this establishment. I never complained when they raise prices because I understand. However, when I ordered the steak chop chop salad to my disappointment it had hardly any of the toppings on it! It usually comes with lots of bell peppers and other sliced veggies.. My go to is the mango salad and their eggplant quesadilla. Never fails and the flavor has been consistent.

One of my favorite meals is their Chicken Chop Chop salad. I think you can get it with either steak or shrimp instead of chicken. It has so many delicious veggies and flavors! The salad is huge! I usually get the chipotle vinaigrette on the side so I can eat half and save the rest for later. Lunch & dinner. My daughter's favorite are the shrimp burritos. We've never ordered anything else because we love our usuals so much. They have a great salsa bar too! I get 1 of each and add them on my salad. So delicious! Their customer service has always been good. I usually order to go but have eaten in a few times. They have plenty of tables to sit. I've never had to wait for seating. And they're pretty quick. You order at the counter and find a seat. Self serve salsa bar & fountain drinks. read more

Figaro's Mexican Grill - Carne asada sope - Mexican Near Me - Tulare, California

American-style Mexican food, which is important to note when one lives in the heavily Hispanic central valley of California, where authentic reigns at most places. A little more barbecue flavored than most American Mexican food IME, perhaps TexMex? (I'm not experienced with TexMex so am not certain whether that was it). The one missing star is ordering at the counter, instead of full table service, and prices a little high for the area. But overall, it's a good place to eat, with a nice outside patio for temperate parts of the year. It's a little off a main street, so use GPS. read more

The service by one of their employees is awful. She's a young thin looking girl does not smile or greet anyone when they come up to order. The last time I was there I didn't see her wash her hands with soap before grabbing plates of food, and this was right after handling wet dirty towels that workers use to clean the tables with. When she saw a customer was up front all she did was put aside the towel rinse her hands with water only and dry them with paper towels. No soap?? I'm thankful I haven't gotten sick from eating there. Place is always clean which is nice and food is delicious but this review is for the service only. read more

We wanted to eat somewhere close by, however, since dining rooms are once again closed, we opted for some take out. I ordered the Chop Chop Salad with Chicken. The salad was large, and when topped with chicken, is plenty for two. I love a good flan, so we ordered one last minute. The flan was meh and did not seem fresh, so in the trash it went. The dining room has a cafeteria feel and is closed for seating. There is a patio area outside which was full. Employees were wearing masks and the cashier is behind a barrier of Saran Wrap. read more

Horrible service... lady gets my order wrong and refuses to fix it. I can't eat sour cream etc and still didn't want to fix my order instead just add sauce on top. So ridiculous how I have to tell her multiple times this isn't my order she even put on my receipt a different burrito that wasn't what I ordered once again going back and forth about it. Not once did she fix my burrito. Won't be coming back anymore after many years this was my final meal here.
