The service was bad. Male waiters attitude was rude and even removed my plate before I was finished eating assuming I was done. It felt as if he didn't want to be there and never checked up on us. Food wasn't the best either. read more

Had the fajita quesadilla, flavor was great and fresh!! Service is family friendly and professional. To be honest everything looks good on the menu. Hey also have pretty good salsa which is really important at Mexican restaurants. I would recommend and definitely come back for more!! read more

Yesterday after shopping we went to Chili's in Tulare , CA . We had a gift card for Chili's and they have a "Three for One" We were not dissappionted. If you go please ask for Jayden , she was our waitresse and she was awesome, friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious and they serve large portions that we ended up taking left overs home . We will be going back !! read more

there was a big male waiter that was really rude but the waitress was nice. the food wasn't that great either

Chilitos is a nice restaurant with pretty good service. The food..... not so much. I have been there multiple times and it has always been pretty good. Not wonderful but pretty good. Last time I went I ordered chicken enchiladas, which I could not even eat. There is something that taste fishy in it. Today I was there for lunch and I ordered taquitos beans and rice. Again there was some fishy taste. I can't explain it and I don't know where it comes from. I think the rice. The lettuce that they use on tacos is a soft dark green lettuce. No crispiness. It's just not very good. I told my mom this is the last time we are going here. I wish I had a better review. The bar seems really nice for the locals and like I said the service is pretty good. If you're going for good food., I would try Casa Grande in Visalia. Consistently good food there and the price is right. Sorry, Chilitos. read more

service was not welcoming. felt like we were bothering the waiter by just walking in. never got checked on. never got our check or boxes for our left overs. had to finally ask. read more

Excellent authentic food and service 10/10. Our hotel recommended them and we didn't regret it. Had steak, tacos, chicken dish and their refried beans dip is fantastic too read more

Came in the other night with my Momma for our monthly dinner date and ordered the Carnitas plate. I ended up paying just under 25 that included the tip which for me is a bit pricey. Food was really good, I had enough carnitas for 3 tacos!! The beans were on point!!! Rice was bland, and I'm not digging the salsa that comes with the free chips. I'll be back for sure to try other stuff. Waitress was very nice and restrooms are really clean read more

Do not recommend. Service was poor. I had a hair in my food and the server told me, "I'll take it back. I don't see it, but okay". If you zoom into the second picture you'll see the piece of hair. She had an attitude the whole time. When they brought out my food the second time the tortilla was barely cooked and the shrimp looked like it lacked flavor compared to the first plate. I wish it came with a salsa or anything else. They charged me an extra dollar for my camarón taco too (compared to the menu)! I like that they put beans with my chips, even though the salsa was okay. It lacked flavor tbh. Restaurant was loud for all the guests. Customer 2: Ordered auguachiles. Service was bad. The aguachiles were good. Did not come with tostadas! Customer 3: Ordered Tostada Mixta. Beans were okay. I liked the salsa. Had to ask for more chips. Seafood was good. I wish I had a lemon. I didn't get an extra tostada either. I would not eat here again. The other server was more helpful than our own. We never got a refill for our water. read more

Staff was very rude. Made me and my family uncomfortable wish i could give zero stars. horrible service. go at your own risk. Prices are ridiculous.... 20 dollar burrito? 7 dollars for extra bacon. read more

Called prior to driving over there. My inquiry was about whether I would be able to charge my device while I dine in location. My phone was connected to Bluetooth and she could not hear what I said. So I disconnected the Bluetooth and repeated that directly in the phone, she then responded with a very vague attitude and said I guess you can. Then ended the call. If this is the level of professionalism via a simple phone call that says a lot about how much they respect their position and the duties that they are supposed to be held accountable for in order to receive any monetary fixed rate in exchange for the alleged commitment to their "hours of employment". HARD PASS. I don't understand why there is an over saturation of entry level employees that seem to have the worst sense of entitlement lately. It's beyond unbearable and definitely ridiculous treatment that is imposed upon consumers who are either willing *or willing to consider any contributions that would ultimately maintain their operations aka give you the opportunity to remain employed in your current situation. read more

You can't go wrong with Mexican food in the Central Valley. It has always been good or exceptional. This place is solidly good and when you add the pleasant surroundings, it is very good. The menu is large spanning from tacos to oysters on the half shelf and the usual grilled meats in between. They offer breakfast to dinner. However there is no mole and menudo is on weekends only. 5 or 6 Mexican brews are on tap and many more in bottles in the full bar. It is in a strip mall so parking is a breeze and within easy walking distance to several hotels right off the highway. read more

Not sure what all the bad reviews are for. I never had to ask for a refill it was already done. Got greeted when I worked in. Everyone was very nice. Food was amazing. Didn't get anything with shrimp but nopales, burritos, tacos, tostadas. Everything we had was good. The amount we spent was equal or actually cheaper than all restaurants. By the way if you can't afford to tip good don't go out to eat. read more

Came here after a long day of shopping. It was pretty empty so we were seated fast. The lady who helped us out was really sweet and amazing. The music was country and I'm from Tennessee and just visiting so I was vibing the entire time! I ordered the torta with breaded chicken and asked for her to recommend a sauce and she brought a spicy ranch. It was really delicious. I finished one half and brought the other half home. read more

We have been here before, and I forgot about it. We came for lunch and the service was very good. Food was on time and waiters very helpful and attentive. The food in the other hand was on the small portion size. The rice tasted old. The beans were great. I ordered a mango margarita and it didn't have enough alcohol, the mango flavor was not there and it needed something else to make it better. Food: I ordered camarones a la diabla. The flavor of the sauce was great, very spicy the way it supposed to be. But the amount and size of the shrimp was not too good. Only few shrimp and small. The rice like I mention tasted old. The beans were very good. My mother in law ordered the Chile relleno. She asked to be with tomatoes sauce instead of the original white sauce. She said she liked it. My daughter on the other hand was very disappointed with her menudo. The meat was too soft almost like it was not even meat. Or meat that it was no the proper one. Maybe overcooked. The point is that she didn't like it at all. My husband ordered a chimichanga. He didn't like it. He said it didn't have no flavor. The sauce on top was good but the inside was no good. The bill was on the high side. We do not care paying the bill when the food is worth it. But when you are discontent with the food the bill matters. We will think it twice to come back again. read more

I was craving some Mexican food for lunch and decided to give the drive-thru a Chilito's Restaurant a shot. I ordered the Shredded Beef Burrito. The burrito was quite large and covered with cheese and filled with delicious shredded beef, rice, and beans. It was really pretty good. I asked for sauce on the side so that I can control the amount. My order also included chips and salsa. The service was friendly. The burrito was freshly made. Not really a whole lot to say, other than I was pleased with the quality of my lunch. Employees were masked and the drive-thru clerk was gloved. 3 stars because they are completely overpriced. read more

I have been here a lot I love the Chili Verde is good Tacos are good Burrito are good and big I love the Salsa but if I don't feel like eating in they have a Drive Thru. And there fast now why did I give a 4 Star it because the Rice is not Home Made and a lot of Mexican Restaurants are going in this Direction and the Refied Beans are not Home Made but still good just don't have a flavor but they have the best Soups read more

Stood at the door waiting to be seated for about 5 minutes. It was pretty busy, but I know a bartender and at least one server saw me just standing there without acknowledging me. Had dinner with my family tonight and we were so pleased. Our first time trying Chilito's. Agreed we're adding this restaurant to our rotation. They start you off with the usual chips and salsa, and they also serve a little dish of beans. Both were good. We ordered a campechana cocktail, mojarra frita, chicken nuggets & fries for our little one, and a blended margarita. All tasty. The service was great. Our waiter checked on us a ton, and food came out pretty quick, with plenty of refills on the chips and salsa while we waited for our food. All in all, the prices were fair - three meals, 2 soft drinks, and a margarita for ~$62. read more

I came here because they had better reviews than other places... I ordered carne asada nachos that's costs $17.. I thought it would be fantastic for the price.. but instead I was disappointed. I didn't get carne asada meat, it's not like slow cooked chuck roast beef.. no type of steak at all.... The place looks nice, maybe the other food is good, but I these nachos are a 3.2 out of 10 The best part of the nachos is the pico de gallo. Also the house salsa (red) is great.. .. and I'm sure they have good customer service.. but this first time visit didn't do it for me (4stars because. Maybe they was off today lol) But this is my honest review of the nachos 3.2 out of 10 read more

My first introduction here was because of a going away party. It was basically a beer pitchers slugfest. I didn't really try their food and wasn't hungry. The noise was deafening that grew to cacophonic level. Since that time a few more visits were of the serene and peaceful type. Quite enjoyable really. The bar crowd were much muted. But the lunchtime vibe is altogether different. The lunch time menu selection of 8 meals gives generous portions with the usual chips amd salsa. But this place also brings the warm frijoles dip. Fancy that. Whether its fish served with buttery garlic seasoning or its highly recommended chile verde, you will have a pleasant gastronomic experience eating at Chilitos. I recommend sitting at the garden patio waiting for the sun to set over a cold frothy beer with warm frijoles dip. But watch out because any dripping sauce goes right through their patterned wrought iron tables onto your clothes. read more

I don't understand the low rating. I'm in California on business. I know Mexican food because I grew up in California. And spend a lot of time in Mexico. Food is very good. Food is bland. My family of 8 dined here. Got charged 18 percent for large party. 24 dollars for a tip. I call BS. Top it off they have a fee for electronic payments. Won't be back. I was unable to enter with service dog, with explicit markings on her vest (even though it's not legally required). the restaurant was empty at the time 2/17/25 Monday at 3pm. We walked out after we repeated 2 times that she was a service animal and not an ESA. the waitress said no and it was easier to just walk out then to have an argument about rights. went to Chili's afterwards, where they were more than happy to serve their clients. read more

I was passing through Tulare on my way to Porterville. I wanted someplace close to my hotel and that was opened later than 9pm. Chilito's is the only Mexican restaurant opened to 10pm mid week so it was a good fit. It's a casual little place, open floor plan with tile floor and hard surfaces everywhere. The reason I mention this is because they had a mariachi band playing for a birthday party and it sounded like they had Marshall stacks with the volume pegged at 10. Actually, nothing was amped but all sound carries in this place. I had the combo with a chili relleno and shredded beef taco. Everything was very good. Great flavors including the rice and beans as well. Service was great. My meal was served within 10 minutes. I will be returning next time I'm in town. read more

My husband and I come here often. Their food is so yummy. You have to try their Chile Relleno dinner.

Ordered the chicken tortilla soup. Good size for $14. But it's the greasiest chicken tortilla soup I've ever had. Won't be getting it again.

I had family from the Bay Area come and visit. We have not been there so we decided to go eat there. My husband and two sister in laws ordered camarones a la diabla (devil shrimp) for the price they charge you get 12 shrimps in the order. Chilito's only gives you 6 shrimps and 3 tortillas. I ordered pozole not that good. My brother in law ordered menudo he said it tasted like can menudo. Food was like a 3 from a 10. Not good we would of been better off going to Julian read more

Great service and great food. Atmosphere is amazing and the bar is a nice size. Love this place.

Chilito's was right across the street from my hotel so I walked over. I asked to be seated outside. A nice garden area with plenty of tables. I sat down and immediately noticed an unwholesome smell. I moved to a different table where it was less than noticable. The staff were great! Very helpful and came out repeatedly to ensure that I was well taken care of. They brought me chips and beans and salsa which were very good. I ordered a tamale. It was tasty but the mass was coarse and mealy rather than melt in your mouth. Maybe I'm spoiled, but it wasn't the special treat I hoped for. It wasn't a bad place but I'll look elsewhere for my next Mexican meal. read more
