I went with my wife, kid and other family members hoping to try something new in Visalia, but honestly, the experience wasn't great from the start. I ordered the taco trio and beef flautas. The tacos came with a creamy guacamole-looking sauce that immediately made me suspicious because I'm allergic to eggs. Usually those creamy textures hide mayo or ranch, and for me that's not something I can gamble with. First thing--there was a DJ playing. It was loud. I get it, it's a vibe, but it's not exactly what I was expecting for a calm dinner. When we ordered, my wife specifically said she wanted a burrito with just beef, rice, and beans. The lady taking the order was rude right away and insisted it comes with cheese. We said fine, just add cheese then--four ingredients, nothing complicated. But when the burrito came out, it was a full-on wet burrito, covered in sauce that we definitely did NOT ask for. At the same time, my tacos showed up and that creamy sauce was sitting on top. I politely asked what was in it. She said, "just guacamole." I explained my allergy again, that I can't eat mayo, ranch, anything with eggs, that it's serious. She seemed annoyed and goes, "don't worry, it's just cream." That irritated me because cream is not guacamole and she still wasn't actually answering my question. When I asked her again more firmly, she finally took the tacos away without explaining anything. I then asked about the burrito (since we clearly said no sauce), and again--with attitude--she took that too. My sister ordered a three-taco combo and asked for just meat and cilantro. Pretty simple. Her tacos came with cilantro, onion, and radish. At that point it was clear they don't really listen to instructions. About 10 minutes later our corrected order came out, and unfortunately the flavor just wasn't there. The tacos were bland, the onions tasted old, and nothing really stood out. The asada had potential but everything else around it killed the flavor. The chips and salsa didn't help either--the salsa tasted like something store-bought with oregano added in as an afterthought. Then, about 15 minutes after that, they brought me my beef flautas. All I can say is: there were four of them and I left three on the plate. Completely flavorless and not worth eating. Overall, this place feels more like a bar where you go to grab drinks with friends--not a place to go if you actually want good Mexican food. Between the rude service, lack of attention to allergies, wrong orders, and disappointing flavors, it's not worth the trip for me. read more

Came here because we have been to the Fresno location countless times and always had a good experience. We were not disappointed. The service was good as the workers were extremely nice, the food was amazing, and the music was enjoyable. We both got margaritas which were both super delicious. My husband got the Grande burrito which he said was so good he couldn't stop eating when he was full. I got the street taco trio with no onions. The meats were all good, but I would say the carnitas was the best.the homemade tortillas really elevate the tacos as well. We will definitely be coming back. read more

In an area with so many great Mexican restaurants, Que Pasa just doesn't stand out. The flavors are underwhelming. Even the basics like refried beans lack seasoning, and the red sauce tastes more like marinara than anything traditionally Mexican. read more

Went for a late lunch with my friend and her girls after a morning of shopping. It was a rainy day, so sitting on the patio was not an option. I thought inside might be busy...but it wasn't. We sat right down. My friend and I ordered a MANGONYADA MARGARITA. Not only did it look fabulous, it tasted fabulous!! It's a house specialty drink. Frozen mango margarita with chamoy sauce. It has a tamarind stick that comes with it. So yummy!!! I really needed a drink and it hit the spot!! I ordered the Birria tacos and they were really good! I didn't expect them to be as good as they were. I always think only the taco trucks can make really great birria tacos.... But not I know that it not true. I was impressed and will definitely get them again! We had a great waitress!! I don't remember her name but she was very friendly and checked on us often. This place is bomb!! I just tried it for the first time today. I ended up ordering flautas for an appetizer & the "sizzling enchiladas" as well and both were so delicious. This place is top notch! I have eaten inside but over the past year or so, I almost always get take out. They are so great to add chips and salsa as well as all the accoutrements needed as if I was dining in. Tonight's order was the taco trio with chicken, carne asada and carnitas. I got one of each. The other entree was flautas de maiz. Basically very large taquitos. I chose chicken as the meat. The cojita cheese and pickled onions really added a special flavor to this and included was 2 containers of guac, a sour cream, and salsa. Their service is great and lots of easy parking. We stumbled across this restaurant on a recent trip to Tulare, and we're really glad we did. Our waitress was wonderful, kept the water and iced tea flowing, and was very knowledgeable about the food. Good thing too, since there were some unusual items on the menu. No, enchiladas aren't unusual, but having sauces made with different kinds of chilies is. Kat had chicken enchiladas with a very mild chili sauce, since that's the only kind she can handle, and I had seafood enchiladas, and the sauce was also really good. We decided to go to Quepasa for happy hour, and were told that because it was a holiday, there was no happy hour. We ordered margaritas anyway, and requested chips and salsa. The margaritas were overly sweet, and the bartender didn't actually make them--they were pre-batched. Not good at all! But we continued to order margaritas and try to enjoy the ambiance, despite the indifference of our server, who couldn't seem to keep his attention on us, despite having only two tables in the entire restaurant. When we requested additional chips to go with our third margarita, he said he would have to charge us for the chips, so we declined. Overall, the experience was not worth repeating. Never go back. Recommend finding a Mexican restaurant that that actually crafts the margaritas for the guest, server vets who smile politely and engage with customers, and realize that if you have ordered three margaritas, you might as well get some extra chips to go with--no extra charge--ha ha! I have tried the asada fries, fajitas, quesabirria, etc. Their horchata and strawberry agua are my go-to drinks. I'm a picky eater; if I like it, you would too. They have a bar and if you want to hear your own music, they have a station for that. If you don't like your food or drink, it's ok. Sometimes our taste buds don't like it, and it's okay to change what you would like to eat or drink just be kind. read more

So my coworkers and I usually love coming here to que pasa until this Wednesday when there was a huge roach on my plate. We didn't make a big deal about it. However, my coworkers lost their appetite and did not finish even a quarter of their food. They asked if I'd like for them to remake it and obviously I said no! Then the manager on shift gave us our bill, and considering the situation we were expecting a discount for my coworkers plate, which we didn't receive. So I spoke with the manager on shift and she said she couldn't bc she wouldn't be able to explain to her boss why she comped a plate and gave a discount which I think finding a roach on your plate is more then a valid reason to excuse that! So then she finally agreed to give a 10% which was still awful. Paying for 65$ worth of untouched food. Ridiculous way to handle such a situation. read more

It's been a few years since my last and only visit. In fact, I can't remember anything about my last visit, which means the food didn't leave any impression, good or bad, on me. So, tonight is a fresh start. My wife ordered the Street Taco Trio. The meats were asada, carnitas, and chicken. I sampled the carnitas and asada. Excellent. I opted for the Ancho Rub Ahi Tuna Salad. I usually order a safe enchilada or relleno, but I wanted to try something different. I'm glad to say the salad was terrific. The tuna was perfectly grilled, and the greens were crisp and fresh. There was a mild afterburn following the first bite. The service was exceptional with both the waitress and bartender checking up on our order. read more

Once again I'm updating. With great reason. Decided to meet a friend last night, hour before they closed. They never mentioned (like some rude restaurants do) that they will be closing soon. We ordered modelos, I had the delicious and FAVORITE drink Michelada with shrimp. And a Molcajete. The Molcajete is always phenomenal. The drink were great. The staff was friendly, attentive, but not too over bearing. They were closing and everyone was leaving, chairs being put away and the manager, or owner, not to sure, still would ask if we wanted more to drink, or anything at all. We went for the first time on Halloween and thought it was great! However our latest visit We went on a Wednesday night around 6:30 and it took us an HOUR to get our Two meals. The fajitas were subpar with literally three pieces of each - chicken and beef, and it was loaded with squash, two trips of bell pepper and ONE sprig of onion. This place has gone downhill and fast. I normally have no issues except the Fresno location I did. Anyway went today people showing up after us getting orders and food before us. Unfortunately, when my daughter lost five dollars in their jukebox.. And I pointed out to the shift manager at two o'clock in the afternoon on a saturday.. She told me sorry, that's not our machine.You'll have to call the company the numbers on the side of the box. To what I said was, will you have it here for your guests to put money?And you should put a sign on it that it's out of order, or that it will steal your money. To what we argued back-and-forth about the machine being on the wall for a guest to use. But yet she knew that it doesn't work. It hasn't put a sign on it to tell us guests that it doesn't work, so allowing us to lose our money in it and then telling us to culinate hundred number to get it back.
