This place was packed midday during the week so we had high hopes. We had a little bit of a wait for a table but again, the place was packed. Not too bad though. The ladies we encountered, from the hostess to our waitress were all very nice. Our server was amazing! And although they were very busy, the service was just amazing as well. The first thing we noticed when opening our menu was how cheap everything was. They had so many options and they even had really good lunch deals. You can't beat those prices nowadays. The chips and salsa were very good. I ordered a chimichanga with shredded beef. It came with rice and beans. It was a good size portion and the meat was so juicy. My husband had a concha taco salad. On a visit to Visalia ate brunch here. Had chorizo and eggs with a side of refried beans. The house salsa was pretty good but the chips were a little too salty. The restaurant is very spacious and clean. The waitress was outstanding and the prices were very reasonable. The food was great so I would definitely come back if I'm in Visalia again. read more

Sundays are so great to come here! The flour tortilla chips and green salsa they bring to the table is the absolute G.O.A.T! We came this morning to have breakfast with some friends and it did not disappoint! Showed up around 8:45am and we were the first ones in the door, by 11 when we left, it was starting to get busy! Our lovely waitress said it never really gets busy on Sundays due to football, and it certainly wasn't packed, but tables were filling up fast by the time we left! We started off with a couple of Tall Michelob Ultra beers, on special for $3.99. Beer was just "ok", not a fan but can't beat a good deal. When our friends arrived we all ordered, Jess got the New Mexican style enchiladas and she substituted in rice for the potatoes, she said it was good, you can't beat the price, under 10 bucks! The three of us got the steak picado and it was very good! You get two eggs how you want them, they come with potatoes, beans and choice of corn or flour tortillas. Around $10 for those also. Everything came out to around $70, but split checks with our beers it came out to around $40 for Jess and I, so definitely an affordable and delicious breakfast at a great spot! Our friends never been here before and were impressed on how great everything was and how they didn't know about this place! Glad we could show them another great Mexican spot in town! Ambiance was super nice, we sat in back so it was quiet and they had the football games on the tv. Overall we love this spot! We come during the week but got lucky to come on Sunday cause it's a rarity for us and they only serve the flour tortilla chips and green salsa on Sun. Can't wait to come back here sooner than later! Alright, let me start by saying that after a long hiking day, me and my wife were hungry for some Mexican food, so we found Casa Grande in Visalia, and decided to go there. So, we were welcome by some mistresses and asked about the food and quickly noticed the lack of knowledge, but I was find with it because it is not her fault it is her boss fault. The quality of the food was not good at all, it is extremely obvious when food is not fresh and it is reheating in the microwave . The prices were definitely really affordable, I am not complaining on that, BUT I was not try to pay less for bad food. To whomever owns this place, service, and good food can make you a lot of money. The ambiance was pretty decent, but when you see other guests asking for their food and saying that they have been waiting for more than an hour, it is just a confirmation that you are in a never come back place. Got a take out ordet. Was very disappointed. The food sX obviously microwaved. We got the chili rellano meals. The chili rellanos were cold on the inside but had melted cheese on top. We were given a tsp of beans and about a tsp of rice. The whole meal was horrible. read more

Recently found out this place is the same family as the Farmersville La Fiesta restaurant. Great service, cold beer, salsa was delicious. The food tasted just like the Farmersville restaurant that we have missed for so long. Two dinners, one 30oz beer and one 16 oz beer, bill was $33. Wow! That's cheap. read more

I have been eating here since the first opened when they were located by the best buy grocery store. It had always been really good, that is until last Friday night. I ordered a take out of the two chilies rellano meal. I went and picked it up and took it home. I started to eat and the food was so cold. The rice, the beans, and the chilies rellanos, all cold. It was like it had been sitting on the counter for a couple hours. I was so disappointed. I don't live far from the restaurant so I know it was given to me that way. The food is amazing, but if they seat you on the other side of the wall in the back they completely forget you're even there. Two times in a row this has happened to me. I had to get up once to find our waiter to ask for a refill and he was just standing in the front behind the bar jaw jacking with all the lady workers. Had a really disappointing experience today. Growing up my family and I have always gone here! But today was probably the worst experience ever. We arrived around 1pm and when we walked in they took our name and forget about us, we kindly asked the host when we will get sat as we had arrived before everyone else and she said "the table is set I'm just waiting a while" like what? Then she sat us and slammed a chair into the table and walked away. After that she had gave us chips and slammed them on the table causing the chips to go everywhere. Super odd? Our waitress was very nice! Just horrible host. I also heard the girl behind the bar being rude to a customer. He told her "hi for 2 people" and she asked if his name was on the customer list and he said no and she replied "ok it then" with an attitude. Very disappointing and rude. This is always our go to place for Mexican food! But 3 of us went to dinner, one of our adults wanted churro with ice cream. The waitress said they didn't have what was on the menu so she ordered just ice cream. The ice cream was warm on top, and melted like water. The food came out after 10 minutes and the first thing I noticed was the thick amount of glutinous sauce on the entire dish. Gordon Ramsey would be horrified. The meat in the "burrito" was a bit pink (thank God I didn't catch food poisoning from it). The tamale with the mystery meat inside of it was gnarly. The enchilada with carnitas and onion was pretty decent. The rice was undercooked/over cooked? and beans were on the runny side. If you're craving Mexican food, or food for that matter, I do not recommend coming here. I think it's more of a bar than any sort of eatery. read more

Casa Grande is one of my favorite spots for Mexican Food in Visalia. Stopped in for lunch after a morning of fishing. Although it was 11 the place was already pretty busy. Service was an excellent like always as all of the waitresses are always so courteous. The food came out quickly and was so filling, delicious, and at a great price. The ambiance is always great. Can't say enough about this place. Been coming here for years. They make there tortilla chips and salsa . New cook needs to leave them down in hotter oil though last visit they were a bit chewy not like normal. The enchilada sauce is amazing and always love a good crunchy taco. Highly recommended. I don't understand how this place has such a low rating. We tried it for lunch and it was GREAT! I got a $5 mango margarita - delish. For my main dish, I ordered chimichanga with shredded beef and red sauce. It was cooked perfectly and was served with a dollop of sour cream and guac. Our waitress was pleasant and quick.
