Good old fashion cafe. Where all the farmers hang out. If you're lucky, they'll have a cattle auction going on. Along with the accompanying smell.

One of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Love this little gem with a cattle stockyard on the premises. Wonder were they get this great beef! Can't wait to try their breakfast one day

Nothing gets more hometown than a trip to Overland Cafe. This place is filled with regulars and staff is eager to provide a home feel meal. Nothing fancy here, but all of your staple items cooked with love. We enjoyed their sandwiches, hamburger and salads. Lucky for us they had a peach cheesecake that was unique and awesome. Thank you for a delightful lunch Overland family!

Up front: this is not a review of the food…read more My father, whose grandparents were Swedish Immigrants to New York, loves nothing more than making Swedish pancakes on Christmas. So, when we were walking down the street and I saw an 'I Love Swedish Pancakes' shirt, I knew I had to pick one up for him. When I walked in, it appeared that there was only one woman working the whole shop. As it was an early Friday morning, it seemed like it was manageable. She smiled and asked if she could help and when I mentioned the shirt, she immediately pointed over to a rack. I looked through and when I couldn't find my dad's size, I walked over & saw her manning the kitchen. I asked if by any chance they had any other sides in the back and she smiled & right away walked over to see what she could find. She did find the size I needed and I happily bought it. We had some small talk about why I wanted the shirt and it was just an overall lovely experience. Honestly, I wish we hadn't just eaten because I would've loved to try some of the pastries and food the offered. I guess I've got something to look forward to next time we're in the area.

We visited on a Saturday morning and had to wait outside for about 10 minutes before a table opened up, which honestly made sense once we saw how busy the place was. The food ended up being exactly what I wanted before a long day of hiking. I ordered the Breakfast Bowl, which came with a half order of biscuits and gravy, one egg, and two sausage links. The portion was perfect for me since I don't like a huge breakfast, but it was still really filling and tasted great. The service was excellent. Our server was super kind and friendly to me and my friends, and the whole experience felt very welcoming. It had that small-town breakfast spot vibe where it feels like all the locals come to start their day, and even as visitors we felt right at home. The ambiance really adds to the charm. The dining area is a medium-sized room packed with as many tables and chairs as it can fit, and every seat was filled. It felt lively in the best way and showed how popular the place is. The restaurant is also located at a small airport, which makes the setting outside pretty cool and unique. Overall, the food and atmosphere were perfect for a breakfast stop. That one meal kept me fueled through our visit to Sequoia including an 8-mile hike, which honestly surprised me. I will definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again.

Onion rings are fresh and the sweet taste linger within your mouth, but it's a bit greasy. Service: the staff is sweet and nice. One thing bothers us is that he check is handwritten and when we pay with credit card the amount didn't add up. They didn't mention any credit card fees which is weird. Ambiance: we searched online and found this place and the moment we arrived we understood why it's called "The Runway" as it is literally located next to an airplane runway and the interiors are amazing! Very detailed decor including the lights!

It's a win, win combination. 20% of her monies goes back into the local community. The service was wonderful, the owner sat with us a few minutes since it was our first time dining there. She explained menu items and her philosophy on helping out her local community. Nice table and chairs with linen napkins. A small play area for kids (!) in the part of the restaurant that looks like it serves fresh made pasties and coffees. All fresh ingredients are used along with local food sourced by the community, she used the example of the fresh local pecans and walnuts used in the salads. Fresh french butter and cheeses. We had a Kir Royale to add to our beautiful lunch. I felt like I was back in France for lunch! We had a beautiful grilled salmon salad, the traditional french sandwich- Le Parisien, a Parisien omelet , also with a side of french fries and the well known Lyonnaise potatoes. We were all very pleased and happy with our meals. Each server was very helpful and kind . We brought home fresh croissants and the chocolate filled croissant. So delicious. We will return for crepes and many more items we were not able to try. It's worth the drive to Tulare. Only open until 2:00 PM. They do have a special dinner that you need to book in advance and it sells out, this is done about once a month.
