A new menu, but a lack of execution, the Salmon in the Salmone al Limone and chicken in the Saltimbocca were both overdone. The house pasta is served quite al dente, but can be order more done. The Mussels are in an excellent sauce and there are a lot of them. The Tiramisu is a large portion and delicious. The wine list is short but diverse and there is a full bar. Service is very good.

Very cute modern Italian tucked into a strip mall in Franklin TN. The staff is super kind and knowledgeable about the menu. Cocktails are fantastic and the small bites are delicious. The pasta was extremely al dente but the sauce did have a good flavor. The only thing that was really memorable was the eggplant dish and the drinks. Good food, pretty restaurant, good service. Just wasn't sold on the entrees. Not very many vegetarian options. Great for small bites ! Their happy hour looked pretty decent as well.

Came here to enjoy a date night and left very impressed. Service was fantastic, the inside is decorated so well, and the food was all great. The caesar salad was delicious and the small size was perfect to share when combined with other plates. The meatballs were very good, but I'd probably skip them and try something else next time. The shrimp bruschetta was a delicious combination to behold. The star of the show was the thin crust hot honey flatbread. Absolutely amazing taste and it was pretty spicy (not too spicy but the right amount for us). To cap the night we enjoyed the tiramisu which was large and tasted just like the few we've tried when in Italy. Glad someone recommended Chrysalis to us as we would also recommend it to others!

If you want to treat your tastebuds definitely head on over to Chrysalis. Nice modern, clean atmosphere, friendly staff & DELICIOUS dishes! We started with the meatballs they were so moist & the red sauce was really tasty! My hubby had the homemade pasta w/ shrimp & vodka sauce. He devoured it! He let me try a twirl and it was exceptional! I cannot wait to go back and order it as my main entree. I had the crispy eggplant and a house salad. Great flavors. I highly recommend both. All in all a 10/10 experience. Go see for yourself!

Vodka Diavolo Pasta - spicy but yummy!

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Cozy, friendly, and super yummy! We were greeted right away, sat in a cozy booth and started looking over the mouth watering menu. For apps we got the mussels, burrata and the margherita flatbread. We'd skip the mussels next time but the flatbread and the burrata were amazing! Our favorite was the burrata. Different from anything we've ever tried and so tasty! For mains we got the Vodka Diavolo Pasta and the Bolognese Pasta. We picked the house made fettuccine to go with the sauces. Both were perfect. The Vodka sauce is a little spicy but very flavorful. The bolognese was sweet and savory. Our server was very kind welcoming. He just started there last week and I cannot recall his name but he was very personable and took great care of us. We finished with the tiramisu. Everything was wonderful!

Chrysalis is a gem, with a chic atmosphere, nice bar and delicious food. Ordered the bread for two, consisted of homemade focaccia and an Italian type roll with seasoned olive oil and herb butter; so delicious! Ordered the Hot honey flatbread, had just enough heat with a slight sweetness, also delicious. The whipped goat cheese salad had a beautiful presentation and wonderful combination of flavors. I ordered the Melanzana which is an eggplant fried with sauce and condiments but it was a miss. The eggplant was undercooked, thus hard to chew. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu and it was delicious as well. Overall the experience was superior minus the one dish. We went for lunch and it wasn't crowded at all, very quickly seated and had an excellent server. Would highly recommend this restaurant for a unique dining experience and very flavorful food!

The pasta was delicious. Vodka Diavola. They swapped out the shrimp for chicken, which I appreciated. The sauce was SO FLAVORFUL. A bit spicy, which I Love! I could have DRANK IT. Recommended by our server. She was VERY attentive. My friend got the flatbread with fig. It was one of the most interesting flavor combinations I've ever had. We also got the bread service for two. I really liked the Italian bread. The rosemary not so much. I will definitely be back to try ALL the things!

Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you, Chrysalis is a gem. From the outside, it looks like a quiet storefront, but once you're inside the vibe totally changes. The interior is cozy and stylish, with an atmosphere that is perfect for an intimate night out or a fun dinner with friends. The service was excellent. Our server was friendly and helped walk us through the menu with thoughtful recommendations. I ordered the shrimp Diavolo and it was amazing! It was spicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a spot that feels both intimate and fun, with great food and attentive service.

    Delicious seasonal pumpkin martini!!
    Ruta P.

I want to love this place. I sat at the bar and had an awesome pumpkin/apricot martini -seasonal. Ordered their bolognese which never disappoints. But this came out dry and congealed. I asked the bartender to look at it and she shrugged and said it always looks like that. ‍ manager came by and I showed him and he said no, so they remade it. It was great. But I am left to ponder, how did that leave the kitchen, how did the bartender accept its condition when clearly it was sub standard. They made it right and I am grateful. But every time I go some little thing just isn't quite right and I am bothered by it.

Had an amazing dinner with impeccable service from Phylicia! She spaced out our meal perfectly and was very tentative. We had the mussels and scampi bruschetta to start. I could've had two more orders of it they were so good. I had the Lamb Osso Bucco as my entree and it transported me back to my Italian Grandmother's house with the wonderful flavors! Phylicia recommended the Affogato Al Cafe for dessert and it was to die for! The restaurant was full and they were quite busy but I felt comfortable and well received due to Phylicia's perfect service. I will definitely be back to try more on the menu.

My husband and I tried Chrysalis for the first time last night! The food was delicious, and I recommend requesting our server Casey Ann. She was knowledgeable and attentive. The atmosphere was modern and clean, and we plan to go again. For our meal we chose to start with the burrata appetizer, and for entrees the elk with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and the fettucini Alfredo, subbing the shrimp scampi for grilled chicken instead.

Perfect way to celebrate my birthday!

I spend 6 months out of the year living and working in Tuscany, so my expectations for Italian food here in the states are typically pretty low. Chrysalis is an exception to that rule! Not so much that they serve typical Italian fare, but inspired, innovative dishes with reminiscent flavors and textures which transport you to the Old Country! Service was excellent...drinks were fabulous and Chef Hayley Sirrell....BRAVA!

    Caitlyn C.

We had a fantastic experience at Chrysalis! The food was incredible, flavorful. The portion sizes were a bit small for the price, but still worth it to do every once in a while. Our waitress was so kind and welcoming! She frequented the table and kept our water filled and always asked if we needed anything else. She gave great suggestions from the menu as well. Both the peach and the mango spritzers were delicious, and the Pig and Fig flatbread was phenomenal. The ONLY knock I had on this place was the music. It was so dang loud that sitting a booth, it felt like you were yelling to talk to the other side of the table. It was also quite warm inside, we all felt extremely warm and slightly sweaty. Overall, it's a nice quaint date night spot!

    Mussels in a delicious sauce.

Do you have Alfredo sauce items on your menu?

We have a very popular pasta dish with garlic tiger shrimp, Crimini mushrooms, arugula and a house alfredo sauce. Of course chicken may be substituted for shrimp and we can add or omit any ingredients of your liking.

Does this resturant have a separate room for large parties?

No. I think they usually close the restaurant for private parties. Either way, the owner, Andrew is great. He will work with you.

Do you have a gluten free menu?

Although they have some healthy menu options. No, they do not have a gluten free menu.

The Pond doesn't disappoint. It is exactly what one would expect when seeking a dive bar atmosphere. A little ratty, a little rowdy and a whole lot of fun. The coup de grace was they had Guinness on tap, which was completely unexpected. We traveled to Franklin looking for an alternative to Broadway in Nashville on our first night in town. It is worth the trip. Franklin is a very old town with great old architecture and buildings over 200 years old that still look stunning. The Pond was the real reason for my drive down although it was our last stop on our tour of Franklin. The staff was friendly, the Hamburger and fries was delicious, and the beer was cold. They have many options to choose from on tap. They have Darts inside and a couch you'd find down in your friends basement that he found on a tree bank trash day, but that simply adds to the dive bar charm. We stayed for one drink and the burger as we were exhausted from a red eye flight the night before. If you're looking for a dive bar that stays open late and apparently gets packed as the night goes on, this is the spot for you. Most places close early in Franklin, so this is apparently the after hours spot that everyone ends up going to when all other options are closed. The Pond reminded me of a few dive bar spots in Vegas, and I have to recommend you pay them a visit, if for no other reason, just to say you've been there.

We grabbed one of the small outdoor tables on a warm spring afternoon--perfectly shaded, great temperature, and honestly an ideal people-watching spot. I started with the Black Tie espresso martini. I had my eye on the Sunburnt, but since their espresso martinis typically include dairy (and I'm lactose intolerant), the bartender went above and beyond to accommodate me. They made a dairy-free version of the Black Tie and even added coconut--it was absolutely delicious. Jonathan went with the Summer Mule, which was everything you want in a mule with a tropical twist from the pineapple--light, crisp, and refreshing. But the second round is what completely sold us. Jonathan ordered the Double Oaked Old Fashioned--we were warned it was high proof and spirit-forward, which is exactly our style. It did not disappoint. I went with the Tea Time Old Fashioned, made with tea-infused whiskey, and it was everything I hoped for: reminiscent of a sweet tea bourbon, but more bourbon-forward and not overly sweet. Both drinks were dangerously good--we finished them way too quickly. They were unfortunately out of cheese for the charcuterie board, so we pivoted to the "Main Stream Mix" of nuts. Jonathan's official review: "underrated." Honestly, he's right--it was super flavorful and weirdly addictive for a nut mix. The staff were incredibly friendly, and there was even live music playing inside. It was the perfect volume--more of a background vibe than a full performance--so we could easily carry on a conversation without having to shout over it, which made the experience even better. Overall, such a great experience--we wouldn't hesitate to come back!

Ratings Husband - 4 star - roast beef…read moreSon - 4 - alligator Me - 3 - burger Sides - fried green tomatoes & red beans & rice. I got outvoted and they got a 4. Husband got the roast beef. He enjoyed it but thought it was too much bread. He prefers when they pull some of the bread out. It had debris and that's probably why he gave them a 4. We shared a side of red beans & rice. He thought the flavors were nice. I did not. It was like playing a game of find the beans. It was overly spicy and resembled a sausage soup. I've never had soupy red beans & rice (that barely had any beans) before so I wasn't a fan. Son got the alligator and fried green tomatoes. He really liked the sandwich. It looked like it had a nice amount of gator in it. The fried green tomatoes were overly spiced (come on not everything in Cajun food is a heat bomb - I'm from New Orleans so I know my Cajun food). Having said that - the tomatoes were done right. Not greasy and the crisp was good. Me - burger and this was where things went sideways and they lost a star. I have food allergies. I very carefully pick places where I can eat and make sure to stress what I cannot have. It's nothing crazy. Seafood, dairy, eggs.... so I chose the burger with no cheese. I don't like pickles or onions so asked those be removed as well. It comes out, no cheese. Yay! But it had so many pickles in it! I spent a good amount of time deconstructing it. Then there was the meat to bread ratio. 1/3 of the sandwich was just bread. I wasn't a fan of how they placed the burger on it. I thought it was a good idea to make a burger po'boy but the burger should have been placed differently or something. So between the "find the beans" soup and the mostly bread burger? I had to give them 3 stars. Ambiance - typical mall restaurant. Service - solid 4 star.

We were immediately impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and decided to enjoy the beautiful outdoor seating on a perfect evening. The patio was comfortable, relaxing, and added such a lovely touch to our meal. The highlight was undoubtedly their wonderful buffet. It was fresh, flavorful, and had an incredible variety of authentic Indian dishes that satisfied every craving. What really made the experience special was watching the guy at the grill making fresh crepes (dosas) right in front of us--hot, crispy, and perfectly prepared. It added such a fun, interactive element to the buffet and made everything taste even better knowing it was made to order. The service was attentive and friendly, the flavors were bold and delicious, and the overall value for such a high-quality spread was outstanding. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Namaste delivers an exceptional experience.

The inside is decorate with colorful garlands and a beautiful mural. The waitstaff were incredibly kind, helpful, and great personalities - we loved them! For instance, we hoped for some chai, and although they originally said they ran out, they later came with fresh cups for us :) The food was equally great -- strong flavors, great spice levels. My only note would be that the appetizers were a smaller quantity of food for its higher price. The mains were fairly priced though. Would definitely recommend!
