This was our first time here. We arrived Sunday around 1215p and it was a good thing we didnt delay. This place filled up quickly and there was a wait to get in. There was 1 waitress that was running the whole resturant and she was busy. I really respected the chef coming out and delivering food to help her out. We ordered the Turkey and Bacon with a side of Clam Chowder, and Cheesesteak with Tomato Basil soup. Let's start with the Turkey and Bacon which came with tomato, sprouts, and a pistachio pesto. This was delicious! The pesto paried perfectly with all of ingredients and I love sprouts on anything. The clam chowder was rich and creamy and I loved how chunky all the ingredients were. So tasty! As for the cheesesteak, it was fresh and had a great flavor. We were hoping for a little more filling for $20, but food costs have gone up so we undertood. We paired this with the Tomato basil soup that was beautifully seasoned and we loved the texture. It was delicious and a great accompaniment to the cheesesteak. We will absolutely be back.

Cool divey vibes

9.29.25: We live over an hour away but had to come to this part of town to run an errand and I wanted to check this place out since it was nearby. When we walked in you immediately got that cool divey feel and I loved their old school music choice. I didn't catch our servers name but she was super sweet and friendly. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with a cup of tomato basil and my friend got the meatball sub. My grilled cheese was so cheesy and the bread was perfectly toasted. The tomato basil soup was hot, creamy, and had a good season besides the tomatoes themselves. My friend said he enjoyed his meatball sub and that it had a great flavor and that the bread was awesome. He just wished it was a tad bit hotter, temperature-wise. Overall, it was an enjoyable first visit and we'll be back again. My friend really wants to try the Chop Cheese next time. It's worth noting they have daily specials and a happy hour from 3-6pm daily with Thursdays being all day.

Turkey bacon avocado sandwich on super fresh ciabatta. And Clam chowder
Conni M.

Nice server greeted us and said to sit wherever we wanted. She brought menus right away and they appear to offer lots of food and drink options. We split a Turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich that was served on a yummy fresh ciabatta. My friend added a cup of steelhead chowder and she thought it was good. I ordered a cup of clam chowder and it was great. I would order both the Turkey sandwich and chowder again. Recommended!

Charming little spot tucked away on Monroe, easy to miss from the outside, and like many downtown locations, street parking is your best bet. The food was delicious! I ordered the avocado toast with a side of tater tots, and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion, more like a bowlful than a side! The avocado toast itself was flavorful, with a nice touch of dill and plenty of tomatoes. They do have cold brew on the menu, though I was a bit disappointed to see no plant-based milk options available. Would eat here again, hoping they add more vegan options in the future!

Good Lord. Just go. From the time I walked in the servers were so friendly and attentive. The chicken Caesar sandwich was absolutely heavenly. The chowder was incredible. What a cool little gem I got to find on my stop here in Spokane. The art work is goofy but I loved it. The vibes in this little spot are great. Nothing but beaming reviews for this little gem I got to stumble upon

Crispy Chicken Cesar Sandwich

Had a religious experience with their crispy chicken caesar sandwich, literally have thought about it everyday since I visited. One of the best sandwiches of my life. Not to mention the ambiance of LOTR on the TV, drowned out by Greta Van Fleet and Led Zeppelin, was excellent vibes for a solo dining experience, my first time visiting, definitely will not be my last

Chicken parm

Are you joking me??? Absolutely delicious. Would've taken a pic before we hounded it down but tbh it was looking wayyy too good to not have some. Ambience was great, service was awesome Delicious. Go here

Spicy Italian Beef with Steelhead Chowder

Nice spot for a Sammy. I ordered the Italian Beef and I was super pleased. The bread was really good, carrot and pepper relish was perfect with the braised beef. I would have liked the option to make it hotter (3 out of 10) on the Thai spicy scale. Side soup of steelhead trout was ok but I regretted not getting chips or tots. Comfy and service was fast and nice. I appreciated the 90s rap jams. Stop in if you're in town

Oklahoma Smash Burger Pork Belly Cuban Sandwich

Great place for an early Brunch! Come at 10am and avoid the crowds. The Smash burger was delicious with fries while the Pork Belly Reuben was equally tasty. Service was fast and the wait staff friendly. Overall, a very good brunch experience.

I ordered the Fig Sandwich and the Fancy Pants Sando because I could not decide between the two as they both sounded very unique in different ways. I called the place up and arranged to come pick the food up. The person on the phone was very thoughtful in keeping in mind at what time I would arrive so he could arrange for the sandwich to be toasted at the right time. I appreciate small details like that. When I arrived, I noticed there were several tables and a bar where you can essentially get brews and food. I noticed they had several beers on tap which I was very curious about, but unfortunately did not have time to sit down and eat at this establishment. The person at the bar was extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. The two sandwiches came up to $40ish. I brought the sandwiches home and first tried a few bites of the Fancy Pants Sando. I will have to say it was the better of the two sandwiches. I appreciated the goat cheese in the sandwich and the mix of different ingredients, but it was not something I would consider to be a great sandwich, at least not for me. Others might find it pleasant, but I did not care for it much. The fig sandwich was the one I was more excited about and expected some sweetness to be cut down by the bacon. I don't think it was a perfect balance between the two, and I got a tad much of the overwhelming sweetness of the figs in this sandwich. Again, others might enjoy it, but I didn't care for it. I really wanted to give this place a great review, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The beer looks fun though and might be a good reason to give this place a try, and you may enjoy their sandwiches and many people have. For me, that's a no-go.

Every contact I've had with Grain Shed employees has been more than pleasant; they truly seem to enjoy working there, and take good care of their customers. I need to shout out to Toby and Audrey before I go on. They each provided 110% on customer service, being personable and making sure we left happy. On 2 separate trips to Spokane, I've visited the Grain Shed 3 and 4 times over the course of 3 days (yes, if you do the math, I went twice in 1 day, and the restaurant was NOT just around the corner!) Everything I've tried is delish, but in case you have to limit yourself, I highly recommend the OG, the beets and feta toast, the bread flight with sauces and cheese, the molasses ginger cookie, and maybe a chocolate croissant. I've heard their bread pudding and pumpkin pie (holiday special) are out of this world! I tried to get over to listen to their live music before leaving town, but still need to squeeze that into my schedule. Travelers: save space in your luggage for a loaf of bread. Sadly, no shipping at this time, but I'm waiting for it! This SoCal resident is officially The Grain Shed's #1 fan. I dare any of you to try to take away my title!

The Grain Shed does a farm to table model and is a bakery and brewery. I got a snack here along with a beer and left quite satisfied. I got a Grilled Cheese Sandwich on some of their house made bread with some Cheddar, Swiss and Provolone cheese. The exact name for this sandwich is the Cheesy Toastie. And of course moving on to the beer... the primary motivator to come here. I got the Kölsch beer here called Field Trip. I do love a good Kölsch as they are nice, light bodied beers. And they are especially nice in the summertime. Flavor features in this beer is maltiness, breadiness, a bit of hoppiness and a dry finish. Another beer that Steve and I tried was the INWPA which was a Pale Ale. It was also a nice light bodied beer which again hit the spot despite it being a different drinking session. Flavor characteristics in this beer is citrus, a yeastiness, hoppiness and a biscuity trait. Good beers and sandwiches and we are aiming for a return whenever we are in Spokane again.

Started off with a Perfect Peach & Huckleberry Lemonade Mimosas that were divine! Everything on the menu sounded amazing so we ultimately decided on the chicken and biscuit with country gravy, the Honey Gochujang chicken sandwich with fries and the verde Hash with eggs on the side. The chicken and biscuit was a winner but be prepared for the food coma afterwards- worth every bite! Their fried chicken is perfectly seasoned and moist. I'm glad we shared the chicken sandwich because it would have been too much , too sweet, on its own. I was Expecting to get more heat but it was mostly sweet- could have used more of a tangy slaw and house dill pickles for texture and acidity. The title with Honey in it should have tipped me off. The Verde Hash was the best hash I've ever had and a generous portion. The use of roasted poblano peppers, red peppers, carnitas and potatoes was taken to next level with the feta cheese on top! Great flavor profile and big enough portion to share. I can't forget to mention the delightful server who patiently gave suggestions and went out of her way to make our first Bruncheonette Experience memorable. Shared the Verde Hash and Vegetarian Breakfast Burrito (which we had as a bowl to make it gluten free). The hash was amazing, had such good flavors, and a generous portion of meat and the potato medley. The burrito flavors were pretty good, but wish it came with more tots since we didn't have the tortilla to go with it. It was definitely enough (maybe a little too much) for two people to share. Would absolutely have wanted to try more items! The host and waitress were both super friendly and our waitress was the perfect amount of checking in (at the right times), asking correct questions, and noticing our needs. She was so excellent!!
