Rancher bee, sub the lettuce with sprouts and add pickles
Kaitlin D.

Never tried this place until now, I did have high expectations based off of their reviews but unfortunately this was a miss for me. When I walked in every single employee in there was so friendly and very welcoming which was refreshing. I ordered the rancher bee and added pepperoni to it for an additional $1.50. I had it with no tomato or lettuce but added sprouts and pickles. The sandwhich was honestly not very flavorful and they put 1 single piece of pepperoni on the sandwhich, they are deli size but still should have came with 2-3 for $1.50 uncharge. For $9 for a half sandwhich i expected more meat and flavor. I tried the meats by themselves and they just aren't as good as other places. I feel bad for saying this with how sweet the staff was but it's the truth for my experience. I added a broccoli cheese soup as a side and that was good, typical sandwhich shop broccoli soup, but it was decent. I spend $15 for the half sandwhich and soup and that was a bit pricey for what I received. Sadly I don't think I'll be back because of this experience but clearly many others love this place so I'm sure they'll do just fine with my 3 stars lol.

Menu and kids play table, arch colorfully decorated with kid's bee art.

First time at Hungree Bee was such a treat! We were greeted by the delightful RJ who explained the sandwiches, bread and sides. I loved the Cran Bee (turkey, cream cheese, stuffing and cranberry sauce) on French bread. Turns out I'm a huge fan of cream cheese and cranberry sauce on a turkey sandwich but not a fan of stuffing on a sandwich, so I took that home and reheated it later. My buddy had the Busy Bee (roast beef, pepperjack, pepperoncini, apple, lettuce, tomato, mayo, balsamic glaze) on swirled rye, perfection, no adjustments. We even received little bees when we left. Canned and bottled beverages are available for purchase along with chips. I enjoyed a frosty diet Dr Pepper.

Queen Bee to go.

I've been hearing lots of great things about this shop and have wanted to drop in for lunch. It finally worked out and I'm so glad it did. These are super friendly folks in a very clean shop, making outstanding sandwiches. I had the whole Queen Bee to go and it was absolutely huge. They put in a load of ruffles chips, some pickle spears and a piece of candy along side the sandwich. The rye bread I had it made with was really good, and they stuff it with quality meats and veggies. I also had a sample of the baked beans and will be ordering some of that the next go around as well. Well worth a drop in for a quality sammy.

Very clean and neat place inside. Super nice staff and insanely great food. I got the special roast beef, sprouts, cucumbers, cream cheese, creamy horseradish on sourdough and it was so good. Can't wait to come back.

Great service! Nice portions! A bit out of the way unless you're already in the neighborhood but love a good non-chain place to eat.

The planets aligned yesterday and we finally made it to Hungree Bee Sandwiches. The experience was exceptional! Their sandwiches are among the best we've ever had. The freshly baked local bread, outstanding service, and impeccable cleanliness were a great first impression. The 'half' turkey sandwich, which was surprisingly large, was only $6.99 and included a pickle and a generous serving of chips. As we waited for our order, they brought us a sample of their delicious beans. We only wish we lived closer and they were open weekends...but for more of their outstanding sandwiches we will gladly make the drive and rearrange schedules if need BEE!

Food was great. Needed to go boxes because the sandwiches are so big.

Food was great. Needed to go boxes because the sandwiches are so big. They also had a little area for our kids to sit and play with some toys and coloring

the entrance to the restaurant

I stopped in for lunch and I was the only customer at this new little sandwich shop. I found a super-clean shop with very friendly staff and an excellent sandwich! I will be back and I'm telling my friends about this great, new, local business.

It was around lunch time when we walked in so the ambience was pretty busy and almost all the tables were taken, but we found a spot in the corner. We stood in line to order and we're greeted with a smile when it was our turn. I ordered John's Veggie Bug and my friend ordered the special of the day, which was the Cuban. I made mine a combo and added the homemade roasted garlic salad and a drink. When our order arrived, my sandwich sure did look tasty and it was! As taken from the menu, John's Veggie Bug consisted of: avocado, cream cheese, pepper jack cheese, olives, cucumbers, sprouts, green onion, lettuce, tomato, pesto mayo and balsamic vinaigrette, on a grilled parmesan panini. This sandwich was super fresh, had great flavors, and I loved that it was on yummy grilled bread that was warm. All the ingredients were plentiful too. I liked how it came with pretzels, something different than chips and the pickle had a good snap to it. You could tell the roasted garlic potato salad was homemade and it wasn't overpowered with garlic. The flavors had a nice balance. My friend's Cuban looked meaty and says he liked it. It was so filling he only ate half and took home the rest for later. The Cuban is worth it's value. The dining area inside almost reminds me of an old school diner feel with lots of decor, art, and vintage type signs. I really enjoyed my sandwich and I'll definitely be back!

I told our waitress that I couldn't remember the last time my husband gave his lunch a 10/10. He even texted a buddy afterwards to tell him just how amazing his lunch was! My wrap was great: perfectly salted avocado, crunchy sprouts, close attention to detail. I could only eat half since the wrap was so large, so I took the other half home and it still tasted great later. We can't wait to go back!

Before going back to Idaho from running errands in Spokane, we stopped in for lunch. I wanted to try something different this time and ordered the half-size of the Caruso's Signature Salad and as described by the menu, it consists of: Dried Cranberries, Candied Walnuts, Parmesan, Tomatoes, Onion, Salad Greens, House-Made Croutons, House Vinegar & Oil Blend, Blue Cheese Dressing. I opted for the house of vinegar and oil and really enjoyed their blend. The salad was a delight and the candied walnuts were so scrumptious! The half-size portion was really filling too. My roomie ordered the half-size Meatball sub. I love how they hollow out some sourdough then stuff the meatballs, sauce, and cheese inside and afterwards close off the sub by using the inside bread they hollowed out to plug up and close the sub. Genius idea! My roomie says his meatball sub was really good, super oven hot, and pretty saucy tasty. He's big on cheese and wished it had a little more cheese. Overall, he said he'd get it again. For my birthday dessert freebie, I went with the raspberry cheesecake. It was a pretty big slice and had some height to it, not like the normal standard size you commonly see and it had a decent amount of crust ratio. Ambiance was quiet as it was after the lunch rush and before the dinner crowd. The male worker helping us was super cool and chill and even wished me a belated birthday, which was nice. I think next time, I'll try their pizza.

Hangry's is in my pasture--my neck of the woods--and because of that, I want it to win. When Hangry's first opened, I remember lifting my head from the grass and thinking, Now that's something different. A small, independent burger stop with real personality. Not a franchise. Not a copy-and-paste joint. Real food, real effort, real care. Burgers with heft. Flavors with backbone. Portions that didn't insult a full-grown cow like myself. There was pride in the grill and warmth behind the counter. You could feel it. That's why this is hard to chew on. The food is still good. Let me be clear--I'm not saying it's bad. But the spark has dulled. The uniqueness that once set Hangry's apart has lost some of its flavor. The service doesn't carry the same energy it once did. There's a tension in the air now, a kind of hangry mood that doesn't come from hunger, but from strain. It feels less like a place excited to serve, and more like a place trying to survive. And that worries me. Because I don't want Hangry's to become just another Zip's. Another forgettable stop where burgers are churned out without soul. This place was never meant to be that. It was meant to be a friendly, fun, neighborhood joint--high quality, generous portions, bold flavor, and people who cared deeply about what they put on the plate and how they handed it across the counter. I know running a business is hard. Even a cow understands that. Starting strong is one thing; staying sharp is another. Motivation fades. Criticism piles up. The grind wears you down. But the answer isn't to lower the bar--it's to return to the basics. To remember who you were when you started. To cook like you still have something to prove. To serve like every customer matters, because they do. Hangry's doesn't need to reinvent itself. It needs to refocus. Quality first. Pride back in the process. Fresh eyes on the food. Confidence instead of survival mode. If that happens, this place won't just hang on--it will thrive. This bull is rooting for you. You're in my pasture, and I want you here for a long time. Get back to your roots, sharpen your edge, and remind us why we noticed you in the first place. This cow is all in.
