Ok ok, lets get into it! This place was clean and all the food was hot and fresh! Went for dinner & spent $64 for 2 adults and 1 child. Everything was tasty. The soy sauce was beyond salty. Like extra salty! The sweet tea was amazing! Don't change that all lol The waitress was very quick with picking up the plates & cleaning tables for the next set of customers. Sushi & pizza wasn't good. Its a buffet, so you kinda get what you pay for. Seafood, Chinese food, sushi, dessert just a lil of everything. Go try them out, but keep an open mind its a buffet that was actually good. read more

Man I haven't been here in YEARS and when i say years, like 10+! Came here for a mini gathering which they handled pretty well. The restaurant was not too pack since they had just opened. They seem to stay on top of the many food items they have at the buffet to prevent from fully running out. The waiter was swift and kept our drinks filled. Since it was early, the restaurant wasn't crowded and noisy which made it pleasant. I would say i'm impressed by how efficient they are and being here for a very long time. read more

Food was great and hot. Nice price and portions. The service was fire and the ambiance was giving

The food was great! Definitely get the crawfish during season or pepper chicken. Ice cream at the end also hit the spot.

Amazing food and service! Obsessed with their Bourbon Chicken and Lo Mein. Would definitely go back

I lived in New Orleans for a year if u are a casual u don't care about the plastic plate or the plastic fork cause it's a business, nothing fancy but if u are hungry u are gonna eat idc my family and i came here so many times and made so many memories. Respectful ppl if we needed something they provided I don't understand why it's so low on the ratio because I ate here countless times I recommend it 10/10 read more

Fined by Dept. Of Labor for keeping all credit card tips for managers and owners. They owed staff $81,000 in tips. If you do go here it's best to tip in cash. They were fined and they cut checks for staff. Said they weren't aware of laws. I call BS. read more

This place is really sad, Lunch is like $14.99 and dinner is $17.99. At 4:00 p.m. they add other items that are for the dinner menu and they put signs up stating that if you eat any of them and only paid for the lunch buffet that you will be charged extra. They watch you like a hawk, like you're going to steal something, made us very uncomfortable and our waitress could barely speak and English. The plates are Styrofoam and the silverware is plastic and the food was not worth it. We could have going to Panda King for a dollar less a person and had a much bigger and better buffet. read more

food was disgusting and server asked me why i didnt tip and kept asking for tip and got mad when i left her a $2 tip.

I have been working on this fun little piece about Chinese buffets being a staple of American culture, the difference in products and food styles, the nostalgic feeling of walking up to the buffet...... I've eaten at several buffets around the New Orleans area for this piece. I'm going to take a little break after this location. Chopstix in Gretna.... I don't know what I ate that just made me pray to a trashcan while sitting on the porcelain god. I enjoyed my time there. The staff was friendly. The food wasn't bad.... But not the best. It definitely wasn't worth the time I just spent speaking to Jesus. I guess the nap after was nice. I won't be in again.... Even though you are close to work for me 2/10 you get one for the sweet staff and the other one for putting out fresh crab Rangoon while I was there. #neveragain read more

I really like this place because it's only 20$ per person and it's all you can eat, I wouldn't recommend the seafood but the sushi is great, I love the stir fry and rangoons, I like how they rang from different foods and sweets, they always stuff the rangoons which I love that because most places are skimpy. It's great for the amount you're paying. read more

Food was below average and tasted like it had been sitting there for days. Server was also rude and didn't pay attention to me but was talking to my boyfriend and touching his arm and saying she likes his tattoos. This is how you loose customers. Nasty behavior. read more

I honestly feel as if the health board needs to do a random visit to this restaurant. The egg drop soup smelled as if a dog in the back was eating out of the bowl. It literally smelled like a dog bowl I'm not trying to be mean. Plus I'm pregnant so I really smelled it. The waitress was being weird watching us as we ate with a smirk on her face and it lowkey turned me off from my food I was looking forward to bc once again - I'm pregnant. The greeter guy at the front was kind of rude and not pleasant to me and another woman. The tables weren't properly wiped either. I won't be returning. I felt gross leaving there read more

Used to be really good. Food is now almost always cold and doesn't have flavor. Last time I came it wasn't good but I thought I'd give them another shot. After today's experience I won't be back! read more

This is the first time I have been back here in a few years. I really enjoyed the meal. I found everything to be clean and necessary health precautions were taken. Everything was disposable (except for the cups). The buffet had disposable gloves to wear while serving. Not all of the food sections were open, to create more space for people getting their food. Everything we tried tasted hot and fresh (we went within 30 minutes of them opening). The service was prompt. I would return in the future! read more

Save your money. This place used to be decent, but no longer. The last time I went it was mediocre. This time was just bad. A lot of the dishes were very dried out despite the copious amount of grease coating everything. Dishes were lukewarm at best. $20 for one person (dinner buffet plus drink) is simply too much considering the lack of quality. There are many places on the Westbank where $20 gets you a fresh and tasty meal. The last time I was here I had basically the same experience. I decided to give them another chance, but I won't go back again. The lack of proper dishes and flatware didn't exactly add anything. I used chopsticks rather than the dinky plastic fork, but I strongly dislike eating off of styrofoam. read more

I come here often and they always have fresh food. The desserts like cookies, cakes, etc. are, like at any Chinese buffet, kinda stale but that's normal. That doesn't matter to me much because I prefer the ice cream. I would like it if they had more dessert choices. I don't eat meat but the options are still pretty good. The service is not bad and they are pretty attentive most times. The prices did go up though. The quality and the menu is consistent. The inside of the restaurant is not dirty or gross looking. read more

Terrible food, paper plates, plastic utensils, and never really seen our waitress other than to get the check. When she charged my card it came up as a $440 charge that got declined when the original bill was only $40. Before trying my card again for the right amount the waitress laughed it off like "haha idk what happen@ when I pointed it out to u... u knew what u were doing! When I left I left wit no tip and the waitress was such in a rush to get rid of us she grabbed the receipt and said "no tip" wtf no luckily I held my composure because I damn sure won't be back! I'll take my money and service elsewhere. I have been here before and the food wasn't that terrible. What a rat hole of a shame!?! Keeping my receipts for evidence just encase they tryna pay a bill wit my card. Scammers! read more

Horrible service and food. Bugs and hair inside of it, no this is not an exaggeration. 1/10 do not recommend.

My sister and I went to Chopstix to try it out for the first time, The buffet food was okay, I have had better. But there were signs stating no children at buffet parents please accompany them. I watched many servers walk by and children were at the buffet serving themselves. I witness one child pick up a piece of cake and ate it off the severing spoon. That was totally gross. And no one said anything to the parents. I will never go there again. If they can't make it safe for others to eat, I'm not getting sick. Zero stars. read more

Mom likes the many options so I treated her to lunch. But it wasn't a treat at all! I over heard a customer ask her server about the senior discount so I went to the host named BEN to inquire. He said (and i paraphrase) if U don't ask for it U won't get it cuz no business is gonna tell U so they lose money". I was appalled & pissed off but kept my composure. He was so nasty & condescending. He snatched my receipt & credit card from my hand to redo with discount, which by the way was less than $2 difference. I told him he had a nasty attitude & shouldn't handle people that way. He replied & I quote "I DON'T CARE!". I said U should care, it's your job. You must not need to work! I will not be spending another penny at Chopstix & will spread the word about my experience especially to the ppl i've introduced to Chopstix before. Manager BEN needs a lot of attitude adjustment & a little less money. Matter of fact he should stay his a$$ home & away from the public! read more

Price understandably has increased considerable, but selection and consistently have declined.

Let's just start off that I am not a fan of buffet. We decide to come here to celebrate my nephew job interview. I ordered some hot tea for myself and my mom. The tea pot was warm to the touch. When I pour our tea to our cup, it was lukewarm. My mom can't walk with her cane and a plate on one hand so I was grabbing food for her and myself. I got sweet and sour soup for myself and egg drop soup for her. My sweet and sour looks old and taste salty. My mom egg drop was ok. I didn't care much for the sushi, it was ok but keep in mind that this is a buffet and not a sushi restaurant. Between the both of us, we try different food options they had. My other family members told me they've been to better buffet place. We had stuff mushroom which the stuffing taste off, fried fish which was blend, fried shrimp, sauteed mushrooms...yummy and the best of all the food I got was the chicken on the stick and the strawberry ice cream. read more

Hubby and I go here quite a bit and it is really good. There is always food on the bar they rarely run out and leave it empty very clean service is good. There is a lot on the bar but the crab legs go fast lol people love em and they fly off the bar almost as soon as they come out. So that is the only thing they have a hard keeping up with. There Icream is good old fashioned scoop it up and lots of trimmings. read more

Zero stars due to the experience I had. The food there is gross but I do stop by every other Friday to purchase a to go plate of fried butterfly shrimp. I was feeling really fat that day so I purchased a plate of sushi (cooked) and a plate of shrimp. I was craving the shrimp for five days so I finally stopped by. I couldn't wait to get home so I began to eat my shrimps in my truck. I noticed a strand of string on the shrimp I already had bitten into. I sat that aside and went for another one. I gave a few to my mother and then I realized her shrimp had the same string in it. It was white and it was stuck in the shrimp. I returned the plate to show them. Oh of course, they could not see the problem. So the manager noticed it and apologized, she asked do I want my money back or do I want to get more shrimp. I really wanted more shrimp but I was so disgusted by the fact of what happened. I switched it out for more sushi. She handled the problem correctly unlike most managers would but I still can't bypass what happened because I'm not sure what it was and now I do not eat shrimp. read more

We eat here once a week ever since our kid was a baby. We went then because we could get a variety of foods for the baby and try new things, we keep going because the food is great! I mean, it's a cheap buffet, so keep that in mind and don't get your expectations terribly high, but the quality if great for the price. Especially the sushi, believe it or not. Sure, it's all imitation crab meat, but the sushi is very good - I start with a plate of it everytime. Would definitely recommend. read more
