    Chicken plate

The chicken is really good, with a subtle kick of spice that's different from what you'd typically expect from a Chinese dish. The rice is solid as well not the best I've had, but still good. I'd definitely recommend it, as long as you don't mind waiting about 20 minutes in line. At the moment there is no inside dining only drive through.

So this place is drive through only right now but it moves pretty fast regardless of the cars being all the way to the street. There are only 3 menu entrees (1.boneless chicken; 2. bone-in chicken; and 3. shrimp and broccoli) So first...the good.....boneless chicken is pretty good for a takeout place. Fried fresh, not overly breaded, and has a kick from spices. The bone in chicken is pretty much the same but doesn't have the spice of the boneless chicken. The rice is also tasty and has a good helping of shrimp, seasoning, and flavor. It also reheats well. Now what I didn't like at all was the shrimp and broccoli. The broccoli was so overcooked and mushy. I also was expecting more of a teriyaki like sauce on the broccoli but it was something else. The cashier was pretty nice as well. You can also get double rice or a rice and eggroll. Eggroll was also tasty.

Drive-Thru line if it's to the street you going to definitely wait at least 30 minutes but it's worth it

Good nostalgia that's the shrimp fried rice I've been missing! Had a late night craving. Went on a Saturday night at and got in the drive-thru line at 930. And I was to the street but not for long. It took 30 minutes total. Waiting in line to get the gold but it was worth it. The menu is very condensed. They only have boneless chicken(with a variety of sauces available that they put on the side)a wing plate and Shrimp and broccoli plate as the mains But they doing well. I recommend checking them out. If you remember the old Chinese kitchen on Carrollton the the rice is definitely familiar in a good way.

Man I'm happy they're on this side of the river now. Food was hot and delicious . Definitely will be my go to whenever I'm in town

My boneless chicken was overcooked! The rice was not hot. My second time going to this place .I tried to call multiple times.

The boneless chicken was overcooked! Hard and chewy. The rice was not hot. I tried to call several times and No answer. I won't patronize this business anymore. Disappointing!

For $15 per plate this food is not worth it. The chicken was overcooked and not good quality meat. Will not be returning.

I remember when this place used to be called Christine's Empress of China. I believe Christine was…read morethe owner back then, and now it's simply Empress of China. The name may have shortened, but the experience is still just as memorable. From the outside, you're not really sure what you're about to walk into. You get a hint of the Asian aesthetic, but you don't realize how immersive it's going to feel. Then you open the door. Right at the entrance is a koi fish pond with a small bridge over it. No, you can't walk across the bridge, but the koi are real, and you walk right by them on your way to the dining room. It immediately sets the tone. The dining room itself feels like you've stepped straight into China. The decor, the lighting, the details, everything transports you. It matches the cuisine and elevates the entire dining experience. The waitresses are incredibly sweet, respectful, patient, and kind. They answered all of my questions about the menu without hesitation and made sure we felt comfortable. The service feels authentic and attentive without being rushed. I ordered the boneless chicken with vegetables, fried rice, and egg rolls. The homemade egg rolls are always my favorite. You can absolutely tell they're hand rolled and not pulled from a freezer. The boneless chicken is made with hand cut chicken breast, and the batter is soft and flaky. It almost melts in your mouth. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The portion sizes are generous. It's definitely a eat now, eat later, and maybe even share with a friend kind of place. If you've only ever ordered takeout from here, you are missing half the experience. Sit down inside and take it all in. It's one thing to eat Chinese food. It's another thing to feel like you've been transported while doing it. This place leaves an impression.

The restaurant looks like it's straight out of China, one of those spots where you already know the food is about to slap just from walking in. Food: We ordered the combination fried rice, sweet and sour fried fish, handmade egg rolls, and an order of Cho's, and everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The combination fried rice was packed with meat and shrimp, well-seasoned, and not greasy. The sweet and sour fried fish was crispy on the outside and tender inside, with a perfect balance of sweet and tangy sauce. The handmade egg rolls were a standout, crispy, flavorful, and clearly made in-house, not frozen. The Cho's were also delicious and added a nice variety to the meal. Portions were generous and very satisfying, making it a great lunch spot if you're hungry. Service: The waitress was attentive and friendly, checking on us regularly and making sure everything came out quickly and correctly. The service felt genuine and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Ambiance: The restaurant has a very authentic, no-frills Chinese restaurant feel. It's simple, clean, and comfortable. the kind of place you go for good food, not fancy décor. It felt relaxed and perfect for a casual lunch with no rush. Overall: This spot is a hidden gem for real Chinese food. Great portions, bold flavors, and friendly service made for a solid lunch experience. If you're looking for authentic-tasting Chinese food that hits the spot, this place is definitely worth checking out. I'll be back to try more items off the menu.

The waiter came and took our order and the food came out quickly. There's a lunch special between 1-4pm, so we opted to try the beef cubes, fried chicken, fish, and kung pao chicken. It also comes with a gigantic egg roll filled with meat and veggies, a bowl of egg drop soup, and fried rice. It's a huge dish for a lunch special plate. Everything was delicious, but the kung pao dish and egg rolls didn't taste as authentic. We enjoyed our meal here and would come back and try different dishes next time. It took a while for our servers to find us and when our orders were put in it took over an hour to deliver two dishes. We had to remind them and ask them multiple times when our meal would come. We were met with the response that the large event would take priority over our meals. This wasn't my fav response because it just seemed that if you have an event going on, there would be other staff to take care of their food. The wait time was really disappointing. The black pepper tofu was quite good and the lemongrass tofu was decent but would prob not get it again.
