    Sweet & Sour Chicken

I took a chance and tried this place. I've never been able to find a good Chinese place that is similar or better than my hometown favorite place "China Star". Went here from a tiktok video and let's just say the plate I had was soooo good! They were super packed but it only took about 10minutes for my order. Staff was super friendly and they text you once your order is ready! I had the sweet and sour chicken plate, the egg roll was massive, it had all three meats (shrimp, chicken and pork. Rice didn't need any soy sauce! This is what I call good rice! Chicken sooo Crispy and a lot, two large fried chicken breasts, enough for 2. Will definitely be back to try the mandarin chicken.

Sweet and sour chicken dinner combo. A true disappointment :(

Sophia and I decided to order dinner takeout from here during our trip here in Louisiana. The last time we ordered, both of us were disappointed with our selections. Unfortunately, this night wasn't much better. We called in our takeout orders which went off without any problems. Picking them up was seamless as well with the staff being courteous while dealing with other customers and setting up takeout orders nicely. My order for the evening was a dinner combo plate of sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and an egg roll (sweet and sour sauce on the side). It was a disappointment. The chiicken was good once dipped in the sauce which had a kick to it, but the rice was bland and the egg roll was soggy. I'm not sure if it was moisture caused by the foam container. I'm pretty sure they used to have the egg rolls packaged separately where they would be well kept, but it was a major letdown. Sophia had the same reaction with her selection and couldn't finish either. Any hope for a redemption was totally lost that evening. Needless to say, we won't be ordering here the next time we come home :(

I ordered the lunch beef and broccoli and a hot and sour soup. Both were good. Not the best I've ever had but definitely not the worst. They compensate by providing very large portions so now I have lunch for another day as well. The lunch combo was around $15 with white rice and a side of Cho Cho which is their take on friend dumplings. It had shrimp, pork, and a few small green onions inside with a tangly light sauce. The beef was very tender and the broccoli was fresh and still had a nice crunch to it. It's work a stop if you're in that area. The to go service was polite and efficient. And the inside gives very much American Chinese food decor. Dark and dandy dining room with Michael Jackson playing on the radio. Over all I paid $25 including a tip. For two days worth of food-it's a win.

I called in an order for fried boneless chicken w/veggie, fried rice and egg roll for lunch. When I arrived 20 mins later my order was ready. The food was hot and tasty.

I ordered shrimp fried rice from China Doll and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. It was very bland and not at all what I remember or expected. They shouldn't have sent this out of the kitchen. A total waste of my money. Also, where is the shrimp? I promise I only ate like 3.

The food has fell off a little bit but its still pretty decent with huge portions. The service is okay. My go to is the sweet & sour shrimp (sauce on the side), double rice, and an order of cho chos. Love that the lunch specials are until 4pm.

The name may have shortened, but the experience is still just as memorable. From the outside, you're not really sure what you're about to walk into. You get a hint of the Asian aesthetic, but you don't realize how immersive it's going to feel. Then you open the door. Right at the entrance is a koi fish pond with a small bridge over it. No, you can't walk across the bridge, but the koi are real, and you walk right by them on your way to the dining room. It immediately sets the tone. The dining room itself feels like you've stepped straight into China. The decor, the lighting, the details, everything transports you. It matches the cuisine and elevates the entire dining experience. The waitresses are incredibly sweet, respectful, patient, and kind. They answered all of my questions about the menu without hesitation and made sure we felt comfortable. The service feels authentic and attentive without being rushed. I ordered the boneless chicken with vegetables, fried rice, and egg rolls. The homemade egg rolls are always my favorite. You can absolutely tell they're hand rolled and not pulled from a freezer. The boneless chicken is made with hand cut chicken breast, and the batter is soft and flaky. It almost melts in your mouth. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The portion sizes are generous. It's definitely a eat now, eat later, and maybe even share with a friend kind of place. If you've only ever ordered takeout from here, you are missing half the experience. Sit down inside and take it all in. It's one thing to eat Chinese food. It's another thing to feel like you've been transported while doing it. This place leaves an impression.

The restaurant looks like it's straight out of China, one of those spots where you already know the food is about to slap just from walking in. Food: We ordered the combination fried rice, sweet and sour fried fish, handmade egg rolls, and an order of Cho's, and everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The combination fried rice was packed with meat and shrimp, well-seasoned, and not greasy. The sweet and sour fried fish was crispy on the outside and tender inside, with a perfect balance of sweet and tangy sauce. The handmade egg rolls were a standout, crispy, flavorful, and clearly made in-house, not frozen. The Cho's were also delicious and added a nice variety to the meal. Portions were generous and very satisfying, making it a great lunch spot if you're hungry. Service: The waitress was attentive and friendly, checking on us regularly and making sure everything came out quickly and correctly. The service felt genuine and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Ambiance: The restaurant has a very authentic, no-frills Chinese restaurant feel. It's simple, clean, and comfortable. the kind of place you go for good food, not fancy décor. It felt relaxed and perfect for a casual lunch with no rush. Overall: This spot is a hidden gem for real Chinese food. Great portions, bold flavors, and friendly service made for a solid lunch experience. If you're looking for authentic-tasting Chinese food that hits the spot, this place is definitely worth checking out. I'll be back to try more items off the menu.

It took a while for our servers to find us and when our orders were put in it took over an hour to deliver two dishes. We had to remind them and ask them multiple times when our meal would come. We were met with the response that the large event would take priority over our meals. This wasn't my fav response because it just seemed that if you have an event going on, there would be other staff to take care of their food. The wait time was really disappointing. The black pepper tofu was quite good and the lemongrass tofu was decent but would prob not get it again.
