Egg drop soup and hot tea.
Hazel R.

Friendly atmosphere. Consistency with dishes. Consistent recipes friendly, and fast service.. traditional Chinese down to the silverware.

This is my large hot and sour soup
Nemain C.

I don't even know where to start or what to say, the reviews on this place cannot be genuine or are either made by people who have never had Chinese food. The portion sizes are laughable, especially for the price. If I hadn't been sick in bed and sent my boyfriend to pick this up it would have never come home. EVERYTHING has the taste of freezer and or can. The "wanton soup" has chunks of over cooked sad cabbage floating in it, a few tiny freezer burnt wantons in it. The hot and sour soup isn't hot and sour soup, it just not. I have eaten at Chinese places all over the country and never have I seen a hot and sour soup lack woodear mushrooms any, essence of spice, and it's clear. The Crab Rangoon's could have been the part the saved the day but sadly they did not. They also taste like a freezer, have been fried for not quite long enough, were most definitely a prepackaged item, and to add insult to injury they squished all 5 of them in a too small of box alongside some sort of clear bastardized sweet and sour sauce. My sister got their sweet and sour chicken, I'm terrified to even ask how that's going since I've already seen what they put on it. In short, don't. Unless your some weird racist that needs to see white people poorly running a sham Chinese restaurant It's really not necessary. We have a very diverse area around here that makes good food. This establishment isn't one of them.

Sweet & sour shrimp.
Arthur W.

I was in search of some General Tso chicken but this place didn't have it. I figured the sweet and sour shrimp was worth a shot. The service here is great. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely service with a smile. It was a pleasant surprise when my meal arrived. The shrimp didn't come with the typical red sauce I'm used to seeing. It was "homemade". The shrimp was in a light orange sauce, covered with strips of bell pepper, carrots and pineapple chunks. Mmmm. I really enjoyed my meal.

They try to rip you off on the won ton soup! Giving half the amount most restaurants give for a large.
Quazi T.

Stingy on the won ton soup! I'm sick, trying to get better and my friend goes out and gets me this?!? They claim it's a large but it's no where near the amount I'm used to getting. Check out the photo I uploaded and tell me that's a large. Go somewhere else for good won ton.

Boneless chicken and egg foo young are my favs! Also the Chinese green soup. Their lunches are big so don't try everything at once.

The combination lo mein is delicious for a reasonable price. It was also ready for pickup on time and the workers are always very welcoming.

This place is disgusting. It is filthy, dirty, nasty. The menu has hardly any options, and the food tastes as bad as the restaurant looks.

This started out as a 4-star review, but after finishing it, I realized I did not have a single drawback to mention about this visit, so here goes... Called out for 2 roasted pork eggrolls, wonton soup, crab rangoons (5), and beef mai fun. $29 with tax w/o tip, and ready within 5 min of the promised time for pick up. Loved that sauces & plasticware were on the side; hate to waste what I won't use. Eggrolls were tasty and properly cooked all the way through. Rangoons tasted homemade, were large and came with ample sweet & sour sauce. Wonton soup came with crispy strips, and there were plenty of wontons for the amount of broth. VERY yummy. Beef mai fun was just what I was craving. Lots of tender beef, not tons of veggies. (Okay, maybe a few more veggies would have been nice.) Reheated easily since there was no way I could finish any of what I ordered in one sitting. I made 3 meals out of it. Service was very nice and friendly. Order was well packaged and easy to unpack and repack. Cardboard was even used to make sure my mai fun container wasn't crushed. Was craving Chinese food, a good Chinese without having to do a sit-down meal. What a gem! Can't wait to order again.

I remember when this place used to be called Christine's Empress of China. I believe Christine was…read morethe owner back then, and now it's simply Empress of China. The name may have shortened, but the experience is still just as memorable. From the outside, you're not really sure what you're about to walk into. You get a hint of the Asian aesthetic, but you don't realize how immersive it's going to feel. Then you open the door. Right at the entrance is a koi fish pond with a small bridge over it. No, you can't walk across the bridge, but the koi are real, and you walk right by them on your way to the dining room. It immediately sets the tone. The dining room itself feels like you've stepped straight into China. The decor, the lighting, the details, everything transports you. It matches the cuisine and elevates the entire dining experience. The waitresses are incredibly sweet, respectful, patient, and kind. They answered all of my questions about the menu without hesitation and made sure we felt comfortable. The service feels authentic and attentive without being rushed. I ordered the boneless chicken with vegetables, fried rice, and egg rolls. The homemade egg rolls are always my favorite. You can absolutely tell they're hand rolled and not pulled from a freezer. The boneless chicken is made with hand cut chicken breast, and the batter is soft and flaky. It almost melts in your mouth. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The portion sizes are generous. It's definitely a eat now, eat later, and maybe even share with a friend kind of place. If you've only ever ordered takeout from here, you are missing half the experience. Sit down inside and take it all in. It's one thing to eat Chinese food. It's another thing to feel like you've been transported while doing it. This place leaves an impression.

The restaurant looks like it's straight out of China, one of those spots where you already know the food is about to slap just from walking in. Food: We ordered the combination fried rice, sweet and sour fried fish, handmade egg rolls, and an order of Cho's, and everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The combination fried rice was packed with meat and shrimp, well-seasoned, and not greasy. The sweet and sour fried fish was crispy on the outside and tender inside, with a perfect balance of sweet and tangy sauce. The handmade egg rolls were a standout, crispy, flavorful, and clearly made in-house, not frozen. The Cho's were also delicious and added a nice variety to the meal. Portions were generous and very satisfying, making it a great lunch spot if you're hungry. Service: The waitress was attentive and friendly, checking on us regularly and making sure everything came out quickly and correctly. The service felt genuine and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Ambiance: The restaurant has a very authentic, no-frills Chinese restaurant feel. It's simple, clean, and comfortable. the kind of place you go for good food, not fancy décor. It felt relaxed and perfect for a casual lunch with no rush. Overall: This spot is a hidden gem for real Chinese food. Great portions, bold flavors, and friendly service made for a solid lunch experience. If you're looking for authentic-tasting Chinese food that hits the spot, this place is definitely worth checking out. I'll be back to try more items off the menu.

The waiter came and took our order and the food came out quickly. There's a lunch special between 1-4pm, so we opted to try the beef cubes, fried chicken, fish, and kung pao chicken. It also comes with a gigantic egg roll filled with meat and veggies, a bowl of egg drop soup, and fried rice. It's a huge dish for a lunch special plate. Everything was delicious, but the kung pao dish and egg rolls didn't taste as authentic. We enjoyed our meal here and would come back and try different dishes next time. It took a while for our servers to find us and when our orders were put in it took over an hour to deliver two dishes. We had to remind them and ask them multiple times when our meal would come. We were met with the response that the large event would take priority over our meals. This wasn't my fav response because it just seemed that if you have an event going on, there would be other staff to take care of their food. The wait time was really disappointing. The black pepper tofu was quite good and the lemongrass tofu was decent but would prob not get it again.
