Its not great, but its not bad. Its the same Menu as 10,000 other strip mall Chinese Restaurants.. Nothing it homemade, its all comes from the same company that provides all the other Chinese food TOGO joints in the country. There is always one table, maybe a chair, some young asian kids on occasion.. That thing by the register that you put quarters in for some scam . A lady and her husband work there, he cooks and she takes the money and hands you the bag... They have a nice new Cadillac SUV outside... read more

Star Wok has good food and lots of it. Service is quick and convenient. I always thought their name should be WOK STAR!

Extremely overpriced. I ordered the shrimp & scallop diet plate with brown rice and it cost $14.50. The brown rice was a two dollar up charge and I feel the plate is very much lacking in protein, but definitely stuffed to the brim with broccoli. I will not be coming back. I prefer Red Apple Chinese to this place for the same plate. I gave them two stars because the service was very good despite the prices and portion of protein. read more

Get take-out here all the time. I order for family of 6 regularly and have enough food for left overs. I have been ordering from here for over 15 years. Pricing is not as expensive as other people complain. read more

Absolutely the worst "Chinese" food ever! Ordered several dishes and no flavor in any of them. The Mongolian beef was the worse and horrible. I stopped going here a few years ago but decided to try again. Done!! read more

Star Wok - Crapy food with zero ingredients. Why order the house special if all I'm getting is shrimp and nothing else? No veggies NOTHING ELSE. - Chinese Near Me - Metairie, Louisiana

I usually don't leave reviews, but this has happened more than once and it's unacceptable. Every time we order from this restaurant, the food is so hot that it melts the Styrofoam containers it's packed in. I've attached pictures to show how the container literally warps and sticks to the food. The smell is even worse it doesn't smell like food, it smells like burnt plastic. That's a serious health hazard. Food should never be packed in containers that can't handle heat, and there's no excuse for continuing this practice. I'm deeply concerned about what we might be ingesting when the melted container fuses with the food. Until this issue is resolved, we won't be ordering again and I recommend others avoid it too. read more

First of all, I prefer to support small local businesses. We tried today and it just was not good. We got egg rolls, wonton soup and cashew chicken. Chicken was rubbery in parts. Just not a lot of flavor. Disappointed it was not better. read more

Mandarin Chicken very dry. Reasonable prices. Chicken seems to be frozen and pre cooked then deep fried . This process probably makes it so dry you have to have the sauce to make it edible. read more

Always consistent. Very friendly and prompt. It's exactly as you would expect for carry out Chinese food.

This little gem on W. Esplanade a block away from Transcontinental. I went to pick something up about 20 min. before they closed. The combination dinner was only $8 and I like to eat!!! I added an order of shrimp Egg Foo Young. Neither disappointed. I'll be back! read more

I have been craving shrimp and broccoli for the past couple of days. I don't like trying too many places for Chinese food. And I am very picky. But I must say, my food was delicious and fresh. The shrimp was huge. As well as the portion size. I didn't get the eggroll, I did get the stuff wonton. They were 2 big pieces. The price was amazing for the lunch special I paid $8. It also came with fried rice. I got the chicken fried rice instead of pork. I will recommend this place. It's a great takeout place. Maybe have a dinner night or even lunch date at home with friends or lover. All while not breaking the bank. read more

Small, clean Chinese cafe with a few tables and a thriving takeout business. Very friendly and accommodating family greeting customers and providing cheerful service. Large variety of items on the menu at very reasonable prices. Excellent execution of traditional Chinese dishes such as Singapore noodles and Cashew Chicken. Spring rolls are light, crispy and delicious. Although they do not normally deliver, they kindly delivered to our reception for a memorial service. In the pandemic, we wanted to serve guests safely. The individually boxed meals were perfect and devoured with relish by all. If you are in the neighborhood, I highly recommend a visit to Star Wok. read more

excellent for takeout. food is delicious and very affordable. many choices. food is made while you wait so its fresh. staff is friendly

We've been eating here for 15 years. They are consistently fresh, great portion size, great prices. The restaurant is clean and well kept. They specialize in take out but have 4 tables for dine in. I dont know where else you can get this quality for the price. The owners are extremely nice. It's a family run business and the kids are great too. read more

Star Wok - Shrimp and broccoli - Chinese Near Me - Metairie, Louisiana

Visiting from California and due to the reviews we decided to try Star Wok before we flew home the next day. Chinese food in Sacramento is inedible and it's rare to find any decent restaurants so we were anxious to try it N.O. Disappointed!!! Egg drop soup was flavorless. Zero taste. Zero seasoning. No peas, carrot or green onion. Really? Pork fried rice was oily with tiny pieces of pork. Chicken broccoli, Kung Pao chicken and General Tsao chicken were ok, nothing special. No one ate more than 1/4 of their food. $40 wasted! And please let your children be children instead of forcing them to work when they are studying. Oldest boy was up and down, back and forth every time they called his name. Another reason I cannot recommend Star Wok. Sad to watch. Do better!!! read more

I found this place based on the reviews, ordered shrimp fried rice and egg drop soup. The service was nice. My food was horrible.

This is a solid neighborhood fast pick up Chineese spot. If you're looking for a sit down meal with all the fanfare than this is not the place for you. I have ordered their lunch specials 5x in the last 2 months! Blown away how good the food was here! Going tonight as I am craving it again!

The worst Chinesse food I have ever eaten. I ordered the popo platter appetizer. It was terrible, the satay was like leather. The shrimp toast was nearly black, dry and so over cooked. The crab wontons were dry and barely had a pinch of filling. I must say the fried chick and fried shrimp were good. okay I gave that up to being prepared poorly and just sitting in a tray. I had more hope for the freshly made shrimp with snow peas. My hopes were dashed. It seems to be freshly cook however it had no taste. They forgot to used salt. read more

I have been getting take out from this place for years and i have never had a reason to complain. I get a range from soup, crab rangoons, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken or shrimp and a few other things. I would rather go to this place then a place on vets and have to wait in line or be in a crowded dine in atmosphere. This is a good in and out. :) read more
