I ordered a chef chop salad which was SUPPOSED to come with chicken, bacon, cucumber, egg, cheddar cheese, dressing. I added avacado and red onion plus an extra side of dressing. Seemed simple enough, NOPE. I got some kind of feta cheese salad with black olives + strawberry and no extra dressing at all. This place only does salads, was a normal salad on your menu that hard?? Picking out the strawberries since eating them with ranch sounds pretty gross. Also not super impressed with the salad overall. Just bitty bitty bitty pieces of everything (but not much of it) i bet just one strawberry is in this whole thing pnly it has been minced up to tictack size. I dont even see any chicken. I could eat this place every single day. I love this location because it is close to my house and worth the small drive. I love that they keep swapping new featured bowls in and out. My favorite is the Santa Fe Chop. I do think there could be a more upbeat and positive energy throughout the kitchen. But I don't know how excited I would be tossing salads all day long either -- pun intended for comedic effect. But the employees are kind and helpful, they're just quiet and not very social. I'm currently on a raw vegan diet so when my friend LW wanted to meet up for a meal I suggested Chop Stop, as I had never been to one before. This one is conveniently located on San Fernando Blvd in a small plaza connected to the Sprouts plaza. There is a decent amount of parking in front of Chop Stop but you can always find parking at Sprouts if there aren't any spots available closer by. I really like that in addition to all their salad combos, you can also make your own. I built my own Chop. First you pick a green/grain, and I went with their House Mix (iceberg/spinach). Then you pick 6 toppings. I chose Cucumber, Tomato, Avocado (premium so extra charge), Dried Cranberries, Apples, and Strawberries. Then finally you choose a dressing, and I got Balsamic Vinaigrette. They ask you if you want it on the side or tossed, and I chose to have it tossed. Since the salad was everything I like, I really enjoyed it! The staff were really nice and friendly and my friend and I enjoyed our salads, so overall we had a great time here. I would definitely come back. read more

I use to like chop stop, and usually order the Chinese chicken sandwich. The dressing is really good, but slightly salty. We order via LA bite quite often at work, and the past couple times the workers at chop stop have been lacking the fundamental skill of following instructions. On one order, I asked to add avocado. I was charged for the avocado, but none was found in my salad. On the next order, I requested to hold the cucumbers. However, there were cucumbers abound in my salad. On my most recent order, I requested to add avocado, add apples, hold the cucumbers, and hold the carrots. The resulted salad had all 4 of those items. Each of the receipts I received noted my requests on it, but the person making the salad had chosen to blatantly ignore the requests. The flavors of the salad are good, but I don't get why the instructions are so hard to follow. Luckily, I still ate the salad, but since I'm not a fan of cucumbers, it would have been more enjoyable without. I am trying to eat more fruits and veggies these days (who isn't???) and so I have been trying to hit up random salad places here and there. I came here on a random weekday afternoon around lunch. There was hardly a wait, which was nice since I had limited amount of time. After looking through the menu, I decided on the Cobb Chop, which is their version of the Cobb salad. The staffs here were very nice and asked me if I had any questions and were patient when I was being indecisive about ordering. My Cobb salad came out pretty quickly. I love the plastic bowls which seemed pretty durable. I know that some of the reviewers commented that the portions were small, but for me, I thought that the portion size was perfect. As a matter of fact, I actually had some leftovers. I also thought that the ingredients in the salad was fresh and tasty. Also, I liked their dressing. Sometimes, when I get Cobb salad, the dressing is watery, but here is was creamy. I asked for the dressing to be easy, which they provided me with the right balance. The space here is very limited. I actually was going to eat here, but there were no seats. Also, the parking lot here can get very busy as there are other places in the plaza. I actually waited in a line to get into the lot because the Starbucks people were all over the parking lot. However, there is always space available, it might just be a little further away. Since my last review of this Chop Shop location I have returned several items, usually with three star quality visits. Tonight was the worst experience to date!! I arrived approximately 8:20pm, they close at 10pm, they had the frint stainless steal cabinets pulled away from the walls. Visible on the walls was lettuce and other miscellaneous salad items, not very appetizing to say the least! They were cleaning in hopes that they could leave just at the stroke of 10? My biggest issue was not the rotting food stuck to the walls, but the aerosol cleaning spray they were using to clean the walls and surfaces not three feet from where the salads were being prepared! 2nd issue for me was the serving size of my salad! Please see attached photo. I asked them what was the salad supposed to weigh? No one knew. I asked them how do they know what the serving size was supposed to be. They didn't know. I told them I paid for a full serving and my salad looked more like half a salad. The manager said she would add some more lettuce. I just asked her for a refund. I was in the Chop Stop in Burbank recently and was impressed with a young lady named, Soleina. She was very patient with the two ladies ahead of me as they had a difficult time making up their minds as to what to order. However, she was very aware that I was waiting in line behind them. She expertly moved them along without losing a bit of courtesy or professionalism towards these two customers. Then she quickly took my order, as I knew what I wanted, and had me out the door in less than five minutes. She did this all with a smile and a sense that she was really enjoying her job. Both times I've ever visited Chop Stop, I was literally stopped in my tracks by the amazing combinations of fresh ingredients and flavors that got me quite addicted in fact. I'm extremely glad that I had the pleasure of tyring this spot out, but now I'm a little bummed there isn't a local one in Pasadena. Atleast my job is but 5 minutes away and its an easy route off the 5 and back on from Walnut. That gives me the opportunity to have it 5 days a weeks!! First i tried the Ceasar Chop and that was delicious! The crunch from the croutons and cucumbers are just perfect and I really enjoyed the healthy wheat wrap grilled too! From the very first wheat wrap grilled, I've had it the same way everytime. I love love love the Viva Mexico Chop without the chicken and tomatoes. If you're looking for a healthy lunch, this is your spot. They're known for their tossed salads and build your own burritos. All of their ingredients are extremely fresh. They have a set menu as far as salads go, such as Kale Chop, BBQ Chop, Viva Mexican Chop, etc. I usually order the BBQ Chop or the Viva Mexican Chop, and I get the dressing tossed in. But you can order the dressing on the side. They also have a variety of healthy beverages that go perfectly with their healthy menu. Chop Stop shares a huge parking lot with Starbucks, Sprouts, a nail salon and other small businesses. So finding a parking shouldn't be a problem. read more

Makes for a great quick and easy healthy meal on the go. And highly highly customizable! The girls in there are super helpful and friendly and made my salad in what seemed like seconds. Every salad is chopped into a fine mince, making it feel a bit like eating the crunchy cereal version of salad. It's kind of a cool change from regular salads, where you might struggle to fit awkwardly long leaves into your mouth neatly, like I do. Makes for much daintier eating! But it definitely is filling. The bowl is big and left enough for me to eat both dinner and breakfast the next day. Don't expect it to be restaurant quality salad, necessarily. It's meant to be more of a quick eats convenience food. An alternative to the unhealthy fast food places out there. But definitely beats the prepackaged salads you find in the grocery store. Once we sat down, the cashier named Jasmine (her name is on the receipt), told one of the girls in the back who made our salad that she doesn't like white people. These girls then went on to rant about Christians being nuts during their back and forth Jib jabbing and non stop profanity. We've never before encountered this type of terrible behavior at this store. These were not the same workers who were here on our past visits. Ordered lunch from this location. Order was prepared fairly quickly. Delivered on-time. The only reason I am giving this shop 3/5 stars is because of the food. I ordered a basic Cobb chop salad. Nothing special. Order arrived and is over-all decent. Ingredients all seem fresh. My complaint is really with the proportions of each ingredient. My salad was essentially sunflower seeds with a side of everything else... The amount of sunflower seeds was so over-whelming that I found it difficult to taste much else. So what's the point of ordering ahead, if when you arrive at the instructed pickup time, you are told "...we're a bit busy so your order will take a few minutes..." ??? If I wanted to come into the restaurant to sit and wait for my order I would have actually come into the restaurant with that intention and mentality. I ordered online 40 minutes ahead of my planned lunch hour. My second question is, why wait until I get to the counter to pickup my order (40 minutes after placing the order online) to begin working on it? Two different employees approached me to inform me that my order is going to take a few minutes longer... Really...I was already told once when I got here, maybe it seems like I need two employees to make that clear. There are 9 employees behind the counter and 12 customers sitting here including myself. I left this same review for the Studio City location, and of course the Burbank location does the exact same thing all the time, so I am leaving the exact same review for the Burbank location!!!! Again today, AVOCADOS in the chop salad. Outrageous. ------ I LOVE Chop Stop. When the order comes correctly. Which is very rarely!!!! I only order one thing, and I order it at least 2 or 3 times a week. Santa Fe chop with NO AVOCADOS, add salami & a salted pretzel. I can handle the occasional lack of a salted pretzel, usually they just stick in a plain hoping I won't notice. This only ever happens at night, I'm guessing they run out of salted pretzels frequently. Obnoxious they can't call or whatever, but we have bigger problems. I AM ALLERGIC TO AVOCADO. I repeat THE SAME order in my Uber Eats order history. It states in both the "Menu Item Notes" and "Restaurant Notes" on checking out that I am allergic to Avocado. STILL they continually add Avocado. I just don't get it....do you want to get someone seriously ill?!? It is so obnoxious. Today I had it. I ordered the same thing for dinner yesterday and lunch today. BOTH TIMES IT HAD AVOCADO You need to either re-train your staff, or get rid of your current staff & hire some QC people or something.
