After we ordered, I saw their new mango habanero sauce and I immediately put it on my list for next time...solid food overall. Go to various El Pollo Loco's as I'm traveling around I really like to use their app you get to earn points as well as there's digital deals that you can use that are less expensive than ordering it at the store. My go to typically has been the three tacos Al Carbone on the app you get three tacos chips and a drink for $5.99. Excellent deal just enough food and tastes delicious. Another benefit of using the app is you can order prior to getting there and your food will be ready rather than having to wait in a line if the location is busy like this one is. This is an older El Pollo Loco location, but it is very clean and plenty of room inside, they have patio to eat outside. They wrap the tacos in foil like you would get on a taco truck versus having it in a plastic tray, which I like having them in the foil better anyway, fits the old-school vibe this location has. This location is 11 miles away from where I live but I wanted to experience a different location. There is no drive-thru here so I went inside. Upon entering you will notice two kiosks; that's where you place your order( not a fan) even more when I couldn't find my item on the screen. It was busy evening and I could tell the workers avoided the long line growing some people just prefer to order the old way; directly through a cashier but it took me a little to get someone's attention to finally place my order through them. So fyi you can't find the chicken tortilla soup on the kiosk. Other than that, my soup made it home hot and I received the side toppings except the cilantro and cheese given to me was already soggy and old. I also ordered chips and guacamole which was a good portion as well. Other than that, a decent serving with enough chicken and veggies in the broth. Plenty of parking in a large lot. read more

So tired of not getting my creamy cilantro dressing! Regardless if it comes with the order or if I order and pay for extra. The other day I went to the one on 1st street in Burbank paid extra dressing at the window and they didn't give it to me, then I went to one in Woodland Hills on my way to work at 9:30 ordered a salad, went to eat it on my lunch and no dressing. Today I ordered from the one on Alameda in Burbank, my daughter picked up the order and when my husband came for lunch.... Take a wild guess... no dressing. And these are just recently. Unelievable trainwreck. I came here at 8:30p and I should have just turned and walked out because the lobby was a mosh pit of people waiting for food. I tried anyway. I ordered at the kiosk, just a burrito. I waited 15 minutes before asking what in the world was going on. The lady asked my order, I told her, "Oh, you took it." Nope, I showed her my receipt. Some guy said that someone else walked up and took it, then left, and nobody checked. What a waste of time. Then, I flagged down the manager to cancel my order, which took another five minutes. I told her that I was in a hurry to pickup my kid and was starving. She apologized and said, "Want two pieces of chicken?" I said, "That's nice, thanks." She said, "I'm exchange for your burrito." Dude, you make at least $20 an hour yet you feel the need to put out a TIP CUP at your register. It's offensive to the customers. Maybe if you got tips you could wear a clean uniform and a cap that's not covered with awful white crap. Something has gone terribly wrong. Computer monitors have replaced people at the check out. The back-up and confusion saw several customers leaving without ordering. I pleaded with the food preparation person to check the bagged online orders that were just sitting there. She ignored the bagged orders and muttered "they messed up these orders.." We order takeout at least 3x or more per month at this location. Why? because an employee name Fatima really makes this location to shine. I have witness how some customers have been rude to her at times, even racial profile because of her physical appearance (non Hispanic background). The customer assume her "physical appearance" looks Hispanic; therefore, knows how to speak Spanish. When, she tells them politely does not speak Spanish some Hispanic customers are the most rudest and unpleasant ones. This lady knows how to handle everything situation with so much diplomacy, poised, and collective. Management, you have an amazing employee, that handles every situation the food complaints, the customer attitudes or anything that comes her way with courtesy and respectful every single time. I went here a few days ago, and I will say that the person behind the counter was probably one of the most friendly I had ever encountered there and the food was generally good, however, the issue(s) I had with the visit were... 1. The "creamy" cilantro dressing was colored water 2. They stated they no longer give out chopped cilantro with the salsa 3. They always seem to get annoyed when you ask for salsa different from what they want to give you.
