I am a burger and fries kind of girl, but my metabolism reminds me that salads and lighter sandwiches are always the wiser choice. With the amazing ginger based salad dressing you will crave seconds and maybe even thirds of that side salad! CHOMP's assortment of specials and sandwiches are so delicious they'll quell that longing in your eyes for your friends (amazing) burger. I have enjoyed an amazing chicken sandwich, salmon burger...And other 'healthier' options and they can certainly stand up against the mighty selection of burgers for taste and satisfaction. Met a friend there for dinner. Great beer selection and an outstanding menu. We split some wings which were fantastic. I had the heater burger. I visited Chomp last summer when it had first opened and I had the chorizo burger, which was cooked nicely. I've grown up eating chorizo so I know good chorizo when I have it and this was very good. Nobody at my table was a fan of the homemade ketchup but other than that, everyone was relatively happy. The space was a tad small but I would be willing to give Chomp another chance. read more

My boyfriend had the linguica burger and it was not very good at all, he could barely take a second bite. But I really liked it there and the staff was relatively friendly. Food is great. Totally solid burgers. Good variety of draft beers. The problem with Chomp is that they are small (expect a wait), there is no kids menu (sub $8.99 house burgers), no desserts, and there are very limited vegetarian options. There is no longer a fried green tomato sandwich and there is no black bean burger anymore. There was a portobello pear sandwich which was excellent but overall I would have preferred to sub a black bean patty into one of their custom concoctions. read more

Wow what a mistake. Sunday night around 20 people in the dining room and a few at the bar. Ordered take out at 550. Said would be ready by 630. Nearly an hour after ordering and still no food. Was told don't worry super soon about 3 times. For how expensive this was (40$ for 2 sandwiches and an app) I could have gone somewhere else and sat down and had a drink within 30 mins. Terrible. Had the bacon burger and it was awesome. Great craft beer (Maine Brewing Peepers...very nice) and frickles. Came with my wife and four kids. The staff was extremely attentive, and the kids LOVED their food. However...I would not recommend bringing children. The place is cozy and perfect for a couple or double date. I have visited Chomp a handful of times and have always left full and happy. Their burgers are delicious and innovative. Their menu is also always rotating so every time I've gone there has been something new to try. Their beer selection is also great and in constant rotation as well. Food was really good but the burgers were hard to eat because of the massivenss. Also found it to be wayyyy too hip lol, like "oh we have saffron ketchup and succulents " whoopty doo I think I came out wearing a plad shirt and some aviators with a nice beard. If you're over like 30 the amount of teen dedushkas here will make you loose you're appetite. As far as the food and the craft beer goes, this is a great place. Been around for a couple of years now and up until the last couple times it has been a good dinning experience. Having said that, as a former restaurant owner I understand you have to maximize your dinning room availability. When there are 4 tables open and noone waiting and you are a regular costumer, there is no reason to make you wait standing by the door while your wife gets there. I saw Chomp on the Phantom Gourmet and have been dying to try it, it took me forever! I heard great things from friends and I went tonight and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The staff was super friendly and helpful. We got there pretty early so we had no wait, so it was only a short time before my daughter and I were enjoying Frickles, their homemade fried pickles! To die for! I could have bathed in the dill dipping sauce on the side. They made great recommendations and our dinner was outstanding. Love this place! Food is excellent and the servers have always been friendly and welcoming... especially to our dog who is allowed to dine with us outdoors. :) We had the fish and chips which was HUGE AND THE Mac and Cheese burger...also huge! I had heard about this place from a coworker who was very pleased with the place. Originally my boyfriend and I had planned to just stop in to sit at the bar and have a beer. From that night Chomp has become a weekly favorite of ours. The craft beer selection is fantastic! Lots of great beers that we have not seen anywhere else. We tried to hot and smokey wings which is to die for! Not a typical messy buffalo wing but great crispy skin and a spicy and smokey flavor. We have had the chicharonnes appetizer and mussels appetizer which were both fabulous as well. As far as dinners go, the burgers are great. My boyfriend loved the Mac and cheeseburger. I'm pretty picky about sandwiches and for that reason I would like if they had an option on the menu that wasn't a burger or sandwich. Otherwise the food is fantastic. Service is great, especially the bartenders. The ambiance and music is phenomenal. But beware, it's a small place so it's usually full and you may have to wait for a seat, but the wait is worth it! read more

What a gem in the East Bay! We visited on a Saturday night. There was a small wait but less than what they said. We enjoyed drinks outside while we waited. We had the chicharrones as an app. They were delicious, the sauce was very tasty. I had the chicken & waffles for dinner. The bourbon syrup is ridiculous!! The BF had the house burger, which he loved. The fries were perfection. If you can get the basics right, the rest just falls into place. We enjoyed some cocktails. Had to check Chomp out seeing that so many of my friend's have flooded my instagram feed with monstrous burgers and tasty craft beers from here! The hype is real and the burgers are the best I have EVER had. Each burger is so unique and has so much going on like who knew bacon aioli was a thing? Not to mention the last time I went they had added chicken and biscuits to the menu... Their wings are really meaty and flavorful. If you are a pickle lover then you will love their frickles and house made dipping sauce that comes with them! If you're a big baby when it comes to heat do not order their spicy burgers, they're not for the faint of heart! As for the beer selection, AMAZING. Small but eclectic menu, ordered hot and smokey wings, They arrived, as described, smokey, hot and very complex flavor!!! My wife got the "I can't believe it's not lobster sandwich" made with monkfish, tremendous!! Flavorful and moist! I ordered the Heater burger, delicious but VERY HOT! Be ready for it!! Fabulous restaurant. We arrive at 7:30 to find the place brimming wit people, some enjoying outside dinning while others were enjoying a beverage in the outside bar area. Once seared we ordered one of their specialty drinks, a CosmoNot, it was delicious. As for the food, absolutely fabulous.
