They installed couter tops and as professionals they should have known to place the new sink on top and not under mount! We reached out to a plumber to install the sink and garbage disposal and was charged $ 1,000.00 just for for the sink installation not being hooked! The underground was / going to require $3,500. for plumbing and and $1,800.00 for dry walling ! Just to have the sink they placed underground. Againn as professional they should have known it was working when they arrived and and all should have been placed to accommodate the current plumbing needs! I will use this company again and I don't recommend them them to anyone! It taken them five weeks to come start the project to begin with after having the cabinets for that long and unable to use our kitchen. They have refused to send someone out to remount the sink. This is costing another $ 6,300. Total additional cost because of their negligence.! I am truly disappointed and angry with Chivino. Be cautious in choosing them as your counter tops professional because professional they are not! They really need to stand behind their service! Then Dennis shows up to measure the counters & again, I was delighted with him & his warm charisma to give me confidence in this process. Deciding to remodel the kitchen after a water leak destroyed floor and cabinets, we selected Chivino for our quartz countertop. From the outset, the Chivino team made themselves available to answer questions, guide scheduling and preparation, and complete the installation. With dark cabinets, we selected a light quartz design; the installation team as so professional, we cannot see the seams where the countertop pieces were joined. The quality of the countertops is excellent and provides the perfect balance to the cabinets and floor. What set the Chivino team apart is the open-to-questions approach they brought to the job. They explained what they were doing throughout the installation, complimented the cabinet installers, coached us on how to care for the quartz surface, and took time to answer our questions. As part of a project that has been fraught with quality and delivery delays, the Chivino team has demonstrated why they are number one! We couldn't be more pleased! read more

Terrible company to work with I decided to purchase countertops from Lowe's as the quoted price for Dekton was about half what other companies had quoted me. Once i paid a deposit, they assigned the project to Chivino. They came out and measured my cabinets and i paid the remaining balance. I waited another month for install to be scheduled. When they placed the countertops i immediately noticed that they had cut them with a huge overhang that looked terrible with my cabinets. I have modern, flat front, floating cabinets that should have an overhang of 1/8 inch. They made mine with 1.5 inches! When I talked to Chivino's "Brina" on the phone she insisted that that is the standard overhang and that the measurer would not have mentioned that because that is what they always use. She was argumentative and not friendly and told me that I would have to pay almost $1000 to have them recut. I contacted lowes and filed a claim to get help with this situation. I had to call Lowes over 10 times trying to follow up during the next two months to try to get help. Once I finally got a hold of the claims agent he said that Lowes would pay for half of recut. I had to pay almost $500 before the install was again scheduled. When the countertops arrived, they had cut the front sides of them but on the most important part they had only cut .25 inches off, instead of 1.25 inches. So they still overhung by 1.25 inches. I was so upset that after being paid another $1000 and dragging this project out almost 4 months, they were still cut wrong and looked terrible. The install technition was very sympathetic and offered to cut the counter onsite for me. My countertops look good. There was some small chipping that happened when he cut onsite, but it is mostly not noticeable. I appreciate him doing that, but am so frustrated with the company and their terrible customer service by admin. They took no responsibility for the mistakes made and ended up getting paid more from me and Lowes. Addition: Lisa, I really appreciate your response. And yes, the final installer that came out did a great job of mitigating the situation as best he could. I had mentioned to the office staff that if the measurer had spent 10 seconds to discuss the standard overhang (She told me they wouldn't mention it because it's just standard) it would've saved so much money and trouble for me and for your company. And, I probably would've been completely happy with the project. Hopefully you can relay this to the measurers so that nobody else has this experience. Thank you again. read more

the templating person was very rude and crabby to us and just know that to see and approve the layout costs extra! but besides that initial person everyone was very professional. the fabricator kept in contact with us and did a fantastic job laying out our counters. and we have a big kitchen with 150+ sf if counters. and the installers were incredible. very courteous and did a great job with the seams. they even left a few pieces for us to use as shelves. I just wanted to share as I know I was a wreck ordering from lowes and not knowing what to expect. but they were really great and the counters look amazing. we are so happy with them and very pleased with the overall process. four and a half star. only taking that half star for the original rude template person. but to be fair he did measure everything perfectly even if he was rude. read more

Will never use again....first a guy came out to measure and he measured the back splash wrong and it was off an inch. The installers cut it in our yard when it was too tall and cut the wrong end so all the outlets were off an inch and told us an electrician would come out as the wires are now too short then the next guy out was NOT an electrician but another installer who told us he could do nothing. I get a call from Chivino and now it's because the wires are too short to go an extra 2-3 inches so that's on us and you now need to call the store we ordered from to get it fixed....wow....was literally told by staff that it was their fault but ok we called the store.Funny the store is just as upset as we are and now instead of them hiring an electrician to fix their mistake the store wants them to come rip out the backsplash and install newly cut piece of backsplash because it was their issue....would never ever recommend them. read more

My sister (no Yelp account) had a very bad experience with this company. They were contracted through Lowe's to install her kitchen counters. The installers were very unprofessional (swatting each other's butts as they would pass each other....I was there for the install and personally saw that!) I wish it ended there. They left a huge damaged section of drywall in the corner. The sealant on the backsplash is uneven. All-in-all a very bad job. Her calls to the company have been met with "not our problem....those installers are no longer with us, etc.". She has contacted Lowe's customer service and will soon contact their corporate offices. I am unable to post the photo for some reason. ***Additional comment. With all due respect, Chivino's treatment of a senior citizen on a fixed income is abhorrent. Wonderful you have thousands of installations per year, but your excuse of signing a waiver saying damage is possible is unconscionable. Your company walks away from sloppy craftsmanship and damaged walls and leaves the buyer having to repair it themself. Shame on you. Let's start with rude scheduler who never answers phone. When you do get in touch with her she comes across as if she hates her job and why are you calling her back. Find another job if you dislike it so much. Template creator, really nice individual and appreciated his insight. Here's the real issue. Measurements by template person and myself showed "x" amount. Chivino modified contract for additional 75% more in materials resulting in thousands of dollars more in costs. In three weeks it still hasn't been justified. Even Home Depot agreed with me and couldn't get the company to respond. Move on go to another company. read more

Scroll through the reviews and you'll see that Chivino always has an excuse for why they didn't deliver. Save yourself an enormous amount of hassle and avoid Chivino at all costs. Home Depot uses them for projects, so if you go through Home Depot tell them you don't want Chivino on your project. Less than 24 hours before my countertops were supposed to be installed I got a call asking me if I could move my appliances. With so little notice? No. The next day the installers showed up just before 5pm, there was an issue with the countertop (wasn't sure what the problem was due to a language barrier). Even though the installers were still out on jobs, nobody at Chivino could be reached by phone. Every email and phone call from Chivino at this point is, essentially, "Well, what do you want us to do?" Terrible experience, and it's still not over, unfortunately. UPDATE: Thank you, Lisa, for proving my point about Chivino making excuses. Perhaps your time would be better spent fixing your phone system and establishing back-up plans for after hours issues and covering when your one and only scheduler is out of office for the day. read more

Purchased quartz countertops through Lowe's & Chivino was assigned to the job. Measurements seemed to go ok, but they didn't explain what they were planning to do, which was removing all of my granite and not replacing my backsplash with quartz. It makes no sense to leave just one strip of the wall bare as they did (see photo). Aside from that, communication has been terrible. I probably left Danielle 5 messages before the install and she wouldn't return my calls. I felt blind going into the install, and this is how it turns out. Now they won't return my or Lowe's calls to resolve the issue. Absolutely ridiculous. I would caution anyone using this company or purchasing through Lowe's, and I'll definitely be following up with Lowe's to make sure my feedback is heard. read more

We bought quartz counters from Lowes an Chivino was the installer and also did the demo of existing tile counters and backsplash. Junior who did the template measurements was a very nice guy. Breena was helpful as well. Their installers were fine for the counters which are level and so far seams look good. However, I bought the thickest quartz 3cm and the existing ceramic tile counters were on top of plywood so they ended up being an inch taller before demo. Now my counters are an inch lower and everyone in my family is tall so I wish we would have known this. Chivino destroyed our tile backsplash with hammers rather than chiseling off the tiles. The drywall was destroyed and insulation and wiring were visible. We had to pay to have drywall repaired before new backsplash could be installed. I wish we would have used Costco but their installers also had poor reviews. I called Chivino and Their excuse is that we signed consent that there could be damage. They won't install if you don't sign that. Again, Breena and Junior seem like great employees but their office Manager Lisa isn't helpful. It seemed like the install crew was one man with experience and another who was strong enough to carry the slab but also went full rage on my walls. He banged so hard a few of the shelves in the cabinets broke and we had to replace the plastic brackets. It would be nice if Lowes or Chivino reimbursed us for the drywall repair. Also, Lowes and Chivino need to look at counter thickness and advise if the height isnt going to be the same. read more

Here is the email I just sent to them, however since I only have the email address of the person at fault, I wonder if it will make it to their upper management. ---To whom it may concern, My name is Michael Hamilton, I previously had a countertop installation scheduled with Chivino. I ordered the countertops 9/12/21 and received a welcome email from Chivino the next morning. Things looked off to a great start. That is until, my email and calls were either unreturned or sent to voicemail. A front office member informed me Danelle was out of the office which is why my call was unreturned and promised I would be contacted the next day, which I was not. I was finally scheduled for a measurement for 9/22/21 between 10-12. I was called by Anthony, at 10:15 to inform me he was running a bit behind, and I understood as I am a contractor myself, things happen, but communication was made and I was informed. However by the time 1pm had passed, I realized the situation I was in. I was doing business with a contractor who is too busy to care about a 100% satisfaction rate. I'm an HVAC contractor and I'm very aware of current supply chain issues and lead times, so I took your 6-8 week estimate with a grain of salt, a window to protect you but still retain the customer. 6-8 weeks means either you're going to Brazil to blast my countertop out of a mountain, or you are just too busy, and I refuse to be treated as fill work. Anthony contacted me again, ironically just as I was receiving my refund from Home Depot, and again this evening by text, to apologize and try to reschedule. I have a suspicion management is coming down on Anthony for my cancelling the project and the purpose of this email is to rectify that. He did his job today communicating with me. Chivino management and dispatching failed today. The reason I work for myself now is I got tired of working for people who had zero sense of accountability and always placing blame on field staff. If Chivino started caring the minute my payment was received, we would still be under contract. However you only decided to care when the job was in jeopardy, and you placed that blame anywhere but your own feet. I have VERY strong opinions of good versus "so-so" kind of work or service. I've only strongly recommended 2 other companies in my life, so this one isn't without a great deal of thought. Troy and Seth were our installers and they had quite a bit of work to do to get this to fit. You may not be able to tell, but we had it built into the pillar, edged over 3" with a 60 degree angle, then a multiple cut to get the grill to fit properly. It was hot, the sun was beating down on them and not once did they complain about the conditions. They didn't do one massive cut, Troy wanted to cut just a bit at a time until it was perfect. What? He didn't want to cut corners and get out of the Arizona sun? No, that should be just one more indication that these guys were here to do it RIGHT. When they got the granite installed, they continued to amaze me by caulking and sealing the edges and under the lip. I thought I'D be doing that after they installed the countertop. As you can see from the picture, it was a beautiful job and we'll spend years thanking Chivino for such GREAT work!!!! read more

We ended up cancelling our order with them (Home Depot) for Quartz countertops. Very hard to work with. Our cabinets needed to be leveled before counters could be installed and they did not do this work nor could them recommend someone who could. I have never worked with a company that did not handle a job from start to finish. Trying to find a "middle man" to come in and level was very difficult and they charged us several hundred dollars every time they had to come out and remeasure. Once we cancelled the job with them we immediately get a phone call offering to send someone out to level the cabinets. Terrible customer service. read more

I had an appt on 12/29 to measure for new countertops. I was unsure if this appt would work for me so when scheduling i mentioned this. I was told it would not be a problem to reschedule; therefore, I went ahead with the appt. On 12/28 I received a text confirming my appt and I responded with "all for reschedule. When I initially text to reschedule which was on 12/28 I was told I would have to pay the measuring fee again. I spoke to Floor and Decor and it appeared as though this was possibly going to be waived as that is not what I was told when originally scheduling and told "it is not a problem to reschedule" (no mention of additional fees). Now Chivino is telling me I must pay a "trip charge" to reschedule. No trip occurred, yes I canceled but prior to anyone coming to my home. Will absolutely not be using this company for the counters for my bathroom Project or the remaining portion of the home that will be completed either. read more

OK I will begin with saying we purchased our countertops at the end of November 2017. It is now February and we are still dealing with issues. Because of the sale at IKEA and the holidays install dates were taking I guess longer than usual OK I can understand that. So why am I giving them one star. Well when they came to install, two young guys showed up I don't think that even really introduced themselves they spoke Spanish the entire time. One guy didn't speak any English or at least he claims he did not speak English. They did the install while installing they realized that my sink was not cut right. So they took off the doors of the cabinet below them. And said they will contact IKEA to figure this out. While they were installing I realized there were a few marks on the counter that we're not acceptable they assured it's OK it's OK I explain no it's not OK. So after they left I looked around and our kitchen was a mess they left epoxy or whatever it's called all over the place. There were marks on the counter that we could not get out and also a big chip in the counter. I immediately called them and of course they are gone for the day and it was a Friday. My husband was able to get in touch with one person and said they would take care of things on Monday well I talk to them on Monday they came out to check what was going on and I had to schedule a later date to do another check and possibly clean the counters which was another week and a half out. At that point they said they're going to schedule to replace half of the counters. Which took another two weeks and The Friday before the install was scheduled they said they were sending out the same guys they sent the first time and I explained to them that I already told him that I did not want that guy. I basically had to snap on Danielle and let her know she is sending someone else out. I don't think these people comprehend that this is thousands of dollars whether we're just a whatever customer to them this is our only kitchen that we are going to have. So Wayne came out he did the install while he was installing I said the reveal on the sink doesn't look correct he said don't worry I'm not finished yet after of course the sink was not right. So they did not do the sink cut out correct. So we call them explain what is going on we also talk to IKEA this is been a few days and we are still playing phone tag. I just think they don't get it this is a lot of money I'm spending and I feel like they think I'm the jerk because they cannot get it right. I really wish we would've not gone with them my husband wants to rip the counters out return everything and go somewhere else I don't think I have the patience for this anymore!!!!!! These people drive like idiots during AM hours. They have no consideration for other drivers or the customers product they where hauling on their trailer. I witnessed this man cut two vehicles off while merging (I being one of them) to get to the HOV lane, and speeding at approximately 80mph with a trailer. I know this man was going 80mph because I had to accelerate to take this picture and still couldn't match his speed. This was still during HOV lane restrictions, and he was a single driver. I consider these actions a reflection of their work and professionalism. I warn anyone who is considering doing business with Chi Vino to seriously investigate before buying. read more

So remodeling your kitchen and bathrooms is always miserable - but working with Chivino was one of the best decisions we made. From the design advice and slab selection to the final installation, everyone was very polite and professional to us. My wife made some changes at the last minute and they were able to accommodate us perfectly and still install our countertops on time. Everyone loves our new kitchen, but our countertops - specifically our waterfall island, get the biggest compliments. I hope I do not have to remodel again for a long time, but if I do I would not get countertops from anyone else. The day before my install they called me to verify my order and time for installation. So of course they cut the opening for my sink too small because I ordered an over mount sink, but someone wrote under mount. Jason saw the mixup and acknowledged it but said they could fix it. So naturally when my plumber came to install my sink the space wasn't cut big enough. This was on a Friday so I called and asked to have my countertop fixed because I just want things I pay for done right. I was told they would be out Monday but of course no one called and no one came by. I'm not shocked because this company contracts with ikea. Do not use this company. We were told they would install our new counters within 6-8 weeks from first visit but must pay 100% of total cost up front to ensure this. We chose stone and paid the money. It has been 4 months and still waiting. They are completely non responsive or caring once they get the money. We've left numerous voice messages but almost impossible to get them to call back. They force you to talk with your "representative" but this person never answers her phone. At this point, we can only hope they eventually come through. If you can choose where to get your countertops, DO NOT CHOOSE CHIVINO SURFACES. We had no choice, as Lowes contracts with them for their countertops. We've had nothing short of a nightmare of an experience. They have poor workmanship, and installed TWO different pieces of granite countertop incorrectly. One piece was installed so poorly that within a month, the countertop was not level and pulling at the seam of the countertop. The second piece of granite countertop cracked from the front to the back of the countertop, less than a year after they were installed. After paying a significant amount of money for these countertops, Chivino has been dragging their feet and making excuses for months about fixing what they messed up. They also don't care about their customers, taking weeks or even more than a month to respond to calls and voicemails. read more
