Not clean - health violations all around. Love the food, folks are nice. But, WATCH the person preparing your food. If they go to the register to check someone out, scratch their head, wipe the sweat from their brow etc -then use those gloves to make your food - well, up to you but imma pass. I merely asked the line worker to put on fresh gloves after he'd checked someone out and he got mad, begrudgingly changed gloves and then said - "what do you need?" Then we left and went to Mandeville location and the same exact thing happened - but we left without saying anything. Typically this location is really proficient. Looks like they hired a bunch of new staff and they are serving micro-portions and don't know how to ring things up. I had to coach the girls and request repeatedly for both and usually I'm in and out. Hopefully management will get them up to speed. They move fast and make your order accurately. Overall the food is good, high quality but is lacking in any real flavor. This location delivers on what the chain is known for and is also consistent with their pricing which is pretty expensive for what you get. Chipotle is to Mexican food what Subway is to the po-boy. In other words, it isn't a great example of Mexican food, but it is a place for a quick meal that is different than the same old fast food burger. When I first saw that Chipotle was being built I was pretty excited. I have heard people rant and rave about Chipotle as if it was the second coming of Jesus Christ. Because of that anticipation I felt pretty let down once I finally ate there. To me, Chipotle is no different than an Izzo's or whatever other fast food Mexican joints that are out there. Sure their food is fresh and fast, but it just isn't that good. On this visit I decided to try their carnitas in a burrito bowl with lettuce, onions, peppers, jalapenos, guacamole, hot sauce, and cheese. The ingredients seemed fresh, but it was rather boring and bland. In addition to the bowl I also got a side of queso. It had an odd consistency and tasted different than any queso I've had before and not in a good way. Will I be back? Maybe. Chipotle is new so maybe they need to work out the kinks. Food is good but workers often assume that you know how ordering works. And it's amazing how angry and how long a worker will stay angry and stare at you when you have a minor incident that was their fault. I asked one question and she was annoyed and started with "well, we have ...". Like you're stupid why are you asking. Then she asked what we wanted and didn't realize what we had and asked the wrong questions but got annoyed with us for answering. I'm not going into detail but yea generally annoyed and not friendly. And they kept talking and staring like it was a big deal . I was friendly the whole time. The other worker was very friendly though. I see multiple reviews saying similar things. My guess is that the manager is a jerk or too passive and let's the staff get away with crap customer service. So the food is ok so I would suggest ordering online if you even go here. Update: I think I got food poisoning. I was the only person in my family who had the mango drink and I was out sick for 20 hours straight. The drinks were mostly out of syrup so I'm guessing they don't clean their drink dispensers either--if you can't keep up something basic like syrup I doubt much cleaning is going on. I love Chipotle and especially this location. The staff is awesome - always making sure each order is correct. The food is fresh, hot, and an excellent value. Their restaurant is spotless and employees seem genuinely happy to see you and serve you a meal. I try to eat here a few days each week and I consistently notice how dependably good the meal, value, and service will be for each visit. Many fast food restaurants are like eating out of a dumpster but I enjoy this place more than most nice restaurants. read more

I love Chipotle GRILL. This location is alright. But the one in Slidell is 100% better. They put citrus juices and seasoning on the chips. Taste way better. They also do have as much fat in their steak. So all in all it's good, but if you have the time, I'd take the drive to Slidell. read more

The rice was over cooked, no flavor, the guacamole was not fresh, I asked for extra cheese and all I got was a tiny pinch. The chicken was also hard and chewy, not enjoyable at all. This Chipotle really impressed me today with customer service. I went to order my bowl and there was a man checking all the food with a thermometer. Didn't think anything of it just thought it might be health department. Well when I ordered carnitas the server told me they were out right now and would have some ready in 2 minutes. I didn't think anything of it and I really was craving this so I sat to wait. Maybe a minute later the server was telling me the carnitas was ready and calling me up to front of the line. Well the guy who was testing the food must've been the manager bc he immediately grabbed my husband and I to say that it was their mistake and he wanted to make it right. He took our order and told us to have a seat. He took it upon hisself to make our meals and brought them over with chips, guacamole and 2 drinks. On the house! I wasn't even mad about them being out of carnitas and I wasn't in a hurry so I was willing to wait.
