We had breakfast here and enjoyed it very much. It is a friendly family run restaurant and small gourmet market. The decaf coffee (we can't all have caffeine) is surprisingly great. Especially compared to the other breakfast spots around the area. Grits are interesting but they were not enjoyable for us. Clean and warm atmosphere. The food! To begin with no grown man wants mini waffles...it just looks like eggos. We've been several times for breakfast and honestly there are several better places. This little gem is amazing! The decor is SO CUTE! I absolutely love the tree inside! They were still in the soft opening phase when I went, but you would've never known! The service was great, and the food is top quality! I had to get mine to go bc I couldn't stay, but I'm sure I will be a regular at this place, ESPECIALLY since it's only 5 min away from me!! I had the wagu burger with fries, a lemon Dutch baby, and a cocktail called the French kiss. The wagu burger was juicy and flavorful. I'm a fry snob, and theirs was perfection! We were in the Perlis shopping center and happened to notice "Courtyard Bistro" on their storefront as we were leaving the center. My husband walked in to grab a menu for a future meal. The bartender, Benny, was so enthusiastic, and when asked, advised she had a seasonal fun drink, "Eggnog Espresso Tini", that convinced us to come in and see what this new establishment is all about. It is fun! Benny is a hoot! She loves her job and the owners and everyone who works there. Her personality is infectious. The eggnog drink was super good. We split a cheeseburger that was delicious; perfectly seasoned and cooked the way we love; medium rare. We just ate sushi 30 minutes prior but still wanted to try the cheeseburger. The burger came with French fries that were equally tasty as well. Near the bar, and inside, they have a cute and eclectic store! Olive oils, balsamic vinegars and other cool gifting items are readily available. They are eager to offer tastings of the oils and vinegars. The service was impeccable and we enjoyed our time here. The owner came to the table and made sure we were enjoying everything and even gave a little background to the restaurant. I unintentionally ordered a vegan dish (didn't keep reading the menu... the picture looked amazing!) and wanted a little more protein. But my buddy pointed out I ordered the vegetarian dish ‍. The French onion soup was amazing! And My friend got the chicken and waffles (using chicken thighs which is delicious!) he shared with me and i thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the unique-to-me combinations of flavors and the mini cast iron skillet meals are a cool novelty! Also.... Check out the gift shop on the way out. They even have truffles!!! Amazing food, great atmosphere, as the name suggests, it's like walking into a Garden District courtyard. Must try are the Dutch Babies! They're available in both savory or sweet. I thought this was a brunch place. I had been wanting to try. The lattes are made with an automatic machine. Not a good quality latte like haven or the reminding. It tasted like warm milk with flat coffee. No foam or espresso foam. I spent 7.50 on a latte that I could make better at home. Disappointed. The waitress seen I wasn't drinking it and mentioned it multiple times I said, it wasn't good. She never gave me a credit or asked. I paid for it. The place was clean. The food was delicious and what a treat to be able to visit the market next door filled with incredible treats from Europe. Yum! We each bought bags of incredible goodies. Today, my wife and I went here for lunch. I ordered a burger overall it was good. The waitress should've asked if I wanted dress or not dressed. My wife ordered the BLT, for the thickness of the bread vs the bacon you get is ridiculous . You easily get more bread than bacon. My wife was very disappointed that they did not have bacon on a BLT, or they should tell you how much bacon is on the BLT not just put if you want to add bacon because if this is the first time coming there you have no clue of how much bacon is on the sandwich because on the menu it does not state how bacon comes on the sandwich in the first place!! It is a nice little place but it definitely needs to get much more variety of food on the menu quickly if not, it will not last because of the limited availability of the menu. read more

I really want this place to make it. The people that own it and run it are incredibly nice and the concept is there, but execution is lacking. Given it's just opened a few days ago I will assume they are simply working out the kinks. First let's start with the good: the folks are really nice and accommodating-owners and wait staff. We had a cocktail and it was very good. The breakfast Dutch baby was delicious. As for the not so good, incorrect order brought to the table a few times, asked for missing order a few times, which eventually showed but as we were leaving. They were incredibly contrite and paid for our drink and gave us a discount without asking which says a lot about their character. Other than that, little things can be adjusted-not enough syrup on waffles, lemon curd was a little runny. That's said food tasted great and the ambiance was comforting. We didn't have a chance to shop the market but we will next time. read more
