Vegan breakfast burrito + spinach and onions added

Excellent food, staff and atmosphere. I love how many options they have for vegans!!! Their vegan breakfast burrito is my absolute favorite! They also have a table of different sauces you can try with your meal.

Turgeau's is located in downtown Covington. It's small. It was cold. There's paintings on the wall....the theme was all over the place. The interesting part about the place there was coffee bean bags on the ceiling. The service was good. The my dish was decent (shrimp & grits). My friend had the Turkey melt which he really loved!

Wow! This may actually now be my favorite breakfast spot in town! The food and service were excellent, quick and located on the most perfect small town street. I udually only come in for coffee, but am so glad I ordered food this time around. I treated myself to the corn cakes with a side of sausage. The corn cakes were fluffy, flakey and the perfect sweetness. The flavor of the cakes was only enhanced by the delicious local syrup. The sausage patties were good, but could have used a little more fat/salt/flavor so I may opt for bacon next time. But truth be told, I cannot stop thinking about those corn cakes. I ordered the hibiscus mint iced tea and was happy to have this refreshing uncaffeinated and sugar free option to pair with my late morning meal. Perfect meal, weather and location. I sat outside and the combination of the three set me up for a great day!

Pros and cons, cons first as its why I wont be returning or recommending to others and feel conned. If it was a genuine mistake and made right I will of course let yall know. Cons: - charged fully for an 'included' side with a hamburger, which was listed off from a number of included sides. - Upcharged for a gluten free item, thats not unherad of, however the charge Not listed anywhere on the menu (as other gf upcharges are if applicable) nor was in informed when I asked if it was available. - advertised as allergen safe and friendly, but listed on menu you will be paying extra for cross contamination safety as well - you don't see your receipt until after you pay so you tip before you see the extra money they've already billed you for both incorrectly and simply by hiding there are extra charges on menu or verbally. Saw the charges attempting to eat my frozen muffin on car ride home as I had chosen text receipt. Pros: - id say service but they blatantly hide charges from you and ask what included side you want to charge full price for it after. friendly demenor though, may be honest mistake - the ingredients and allergens listed in the menu (listed for yall in my review) - they support local bakers and buisnesses - ambiance of the place was okay, the guitar player was probably the best part and made it 100 times better and made sure he got tipped as well - the bags on the ceiling (I see bad reviews on these) these are to help loud sound be absorbed! It's to create a quite atmosphere for you Bit of both: - my muffin was late as the first was burnt so they made me another and even threw in a free pastry for the wait, that muffin was in fact frozen when I took a bite. These things happen, they handled it well but with the amount I was charge extra for it dosent even even out - food varies from very good to basic Overall, the multiple charges not listed and incorrectly charged that I only got to see after leaving the tip on top of the higher price tag and small servings (ever held a quarter muffalata in the palm of your hand? I haven't as I have pretty small hands) today I did and it was $9 plus a fun bonus charge that was hid from me. Won't be going back for sure, sadly. I had such high hopes to start that ended up in a strong dissapointment.

Eclectic little joint with amazing food. We dropped in to have brunch and we were not disappointed. The staff were great... don't miss this hidden gem.

GLUTEN FREE VEGAN!!!! Read that sentence again- I had a gf/ vegan pancake breakfast that knocked my socks off ! Big bowl of fresh fruit. Also had a side order of spicy sausages and they were FAB. The bloody Maria was stellar and I loved the bacon and pickled accoutrements! The menu is super vast and just feels like a wonderful diner-esq vibe, but with quality food. I could tell nothing was precooked or premade before we ordered and the food came out HOT which I always appreciate! Staff is lovely and what topped it off as being SO impressive- they have small packets of MONKFRUIT SUGAR!!! If that doesn't sway you, I cant imagine what would!

Love this find in downtown Covington. The variety of the food on the menu leaves something for everyone. I had one of their salads and thought it was excellent. My only complaint was that the balsamic vinaigrette was way too heavy on the black pepper, and it overpowered the salad. Two other people were in my party and got the same dressing and said the same thing. Otherwise things were delicious and fresh. Will definitely go back and just try a different dressing. I loved the little tables outside. A perfect place for lunch on a beautiful day.

I'm so happy we stumbled upon this little gem! They are very allergy friendly, while still providing some of the best traditional plates. Fun art, amazing customer service and the food *Chefs kiss* I wish Yelp would let me upload all the photos.

Best muffaletta in town! And the homemade balsamic dressing was wonderful! Very friendly employees!

We love what Chef JP is doing here. Great food and great vibes. I've been twice and plan on being a regular. Love the JP's Gumbolaya

Lumora is…read morerelatively new and is by the same folks responsible for The District in Ponchatoula, which is one of our favs. Located on Highway 190, Lumora has a stylish, contemporary persona that is decidedly upscale, but still possesses a comfortable, laid-back vibe that is quite appealing. Service was friendly and efficient and Taylor took excellent care of us. General Manager Josie dropped by our table to share info on Lumora and her visit was appreciated. There is a full bar and a wide selection of specialty cocktails. Today I had a Blood Orange Mezcal Margarita and my wife had an Ex-Presso Martini. Both were great! I highly recommend the Mezcal spice served up on the Margarita's rim in place of the standard salt. We then enjoyed the Zydeco Eggroll appetizer, which the pepper jelly garnish made truly memorable. I then followed with the Buffalo Chicken Pinsa and my wife had the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pinsa. Both were excellent; hot, pleasantly spicy, and generously portioned. We took home a lot of food. Although we had no room for dessert, several on the menu looked quite sumptuous. In short, Lumora Kitchen and Bar is highly recommended! It's a great spot for lunch, happy hour drinks, or a special date night. We will return.

We were a table of 7, ordered appetizers, and were brought the check immediately after--before anyone ever asked if we wanted entrees or dessert. It felt extremely rushed and unwelcoming. The servers were rude, inattentive, and made us feel like they just wanted us out of there. To make matters worse, we were overcharged, and my credit card was run before I was even shown the final bill, which is completely unacceptable. Great food, but the service needs serious improvement. Sadly, that alone would keep me from returning. Disappointed coming from southshore for Christmas dinner.. owner of this restaurant, really needs to get with his staff!

Okay, this is my fifth visit here in five months so it's safe to say I'm either a glutton for…read morepunishment or that this place is great. Fortunately, it's the later, by a wide margin. Why you ask? Simple, it's great. My reasons: 1) Every time we've been here the service has been great. Not good, great. We've taken the time to meet/talk to the serving staff and they all have been friendly, attentive, and really good at their jobs. We have also met the owners and they too are lovely people. 2) The setting, given that's it's in a small strip mall is great. They have a large patio, plenty of umbrellas as booths, and multiple water features including a water wall. Inside the restaurant is equally beautiful. This is not Chi-Chis or some place trying to faux up the setting. 3) The food is great. If you are looking for typical Americanized Mexican, Spanish, South American food, this is not your place. If you are instead looking for great food that is more interesting, this is the place. For example, tonight we had a chicharron that looked liked two of biggest fried slices of hog heaven you could hope for. It was amazing! We also had the chimichurri sauce which was slightly different from what we have had in the past but it too was awesome! We even asked for some to go to which they said of course. 3) The portion size of most of what we've had over the five visits have almost always fit the price while things such as the steak fajitas were on the generous side for 2026. Bonus, big bonus- They are very dog friendly so your four legged and well behaved dogs are more than welcome in their spacious outdoor patio. And since the tables (not the booths) are not tightly together it's a good place even for the truly big dogs! That about covers it. So bring your fur baby, have a drink (they have some nice concoctions ) and enjoy a restaurant that recreates so many things from one of the owner's youth. And if you can sit outside, you will enjoy it even more! As always, apologies for my usually long and hopefully epic review. Cheers and happy dining all!

Speaking of drinks, do not skip the cucumber margarita. It's hands-down my favorite and super refreshing. Whether you're planning a romantic dinner, a fun lunch with friends, or just need a quiet spot to catch up over great food and conversation -- Kantunil has you covered. Can't recommend it enough.

We gave ourselves an hour and a half, enough time to eat and get to our next planned and scheduled event that day. So, we weren't in a rush. We get in the quickly moving line to order our food at the counter. I order a salmon bagel and the hubs ordered a meatball ciabatta. We sit down and I noticed it is a very busy place. It is a very large place and I noticed how clean everything was and how efficient all the workers were at getting the food out. One after the other, food was coming out like an assembly line and the food looked good, too. But the assembly line apparently stopped, no orders were coming out, and we waited about 20 or 25 minutes. At least we had our drinks because it is a counter service type establishment. We noticed stacks and stacks of 'to go' orders were being placed in the counter area. After nearly 35 or 40 minutes we get our food. Some guy had ordered a 'football teams' worth amount of food. So, although it was not the restaurant's fault, it was frustrating the timing that our order was f course put in right after the guy that ordered 20 dishes. I get my bagel to try to eat quickly, since now we are in a little bit of a rush. And the bagel couldn't have been more complicated to eat. I just wanted a complete lox bagel but it was a deconstructed bagel where I had to put the thing together. I would have enjoyed the meal a little better had my bagel been properly served, like for example, the way Flour Moon serves their bagels to customers. I don't know if we will be back because I rarely visit the Northshore, this was a special occasion. I guess if I do come back, I would like to try one or two of the desserts from the case. Those looked really good.
