I drove out of my way to come to this location due to a work event saying we could go a BOGO deal there and when we went $1 would be given to DC public schools. I went through the line, ordered my two bowls, got to the end and presented what I had to the cashier. The cashier got her manager and the manager had to ask someone else. The manager came back with an answer of saying I had to have a barcode in order to get the BOGO which was not given to me. While I understand this was a lack of communication I asked the manager if there was anyway we could make this work. She said no and instead of somehow comping the meal they ended up throwing it away. What a waste. Not helpful at all. Won't be going to that location again. read more

A Spirited Defense of Chipotle For the most part, Chipotle is Chipotle, whether or not it is in Laurel. Most of us know what it is, and what to expect: A tasty take on burritos and a few other Tex-Mex/Mexican style food. This location holds up well against the Chipotle I've been to in (insert location). It's certainly not the most nutritious food, but if you're surprised that Chipotle isn't providing you with a low calorie, healthy meal, your caloric intake may be the least of your problems. I'd like to also mention that barring the invention of a weather machine and Chipotle's subsequent acquisition of said device, they can't control the weather. I know a discussion of weather is somewhat off topic in a restaurant review, and that nobody in their right mind would really blame Chipotle for non-ideal weather, but I thought I'd throw it out there because I'm crazy like that. The Vegetarian Angle For two thirds of the calories in the aforementioned category (less fat, less carbohydrates, but also less protein), you can put together a healthy vegetarian alternative. Make it a Burrito Bol and we're talking basically half the calories. Heck at that rate might as well go ahead and throw in sour cream and you're still ahead of the curve with respect to most of their menu choices. At the end of all things, as far as vegetarians, Chipotle probably rates among the top few fast food type places in Laurel. Also, as a native Texan, I can say that in comparison to the Tex-Mex/Mexican competition locally, Chipotle sadly stands among the best options in the Greater Laurel region (Laurel, Savage, Scaggsville, and Burtonsville along with various other less noteworthy townships, principalities, and holdfasts). read more

I'm only leaving 1 star because the food is from chipotle and as everyone knows it is delicious. The problem is that the line is insane every time you go there. I've ordered online 3 times, in an attempt to avoid the 30 minute wait. TWICE my order was wrong. I don't mean a little wrong, I mean REALLY WRONG. Oh and when you get all the way home and realize it they pick up the phone and tell you to just come back, and -oh sorry about that. Seriously, terrible customer service. Choices. Burritos, tacos (soft or hard), or salad.... This location is clean, fast and will give you ample portions. For quick, moderate priced, high quality Mexican food you really can not do much better for the price-quality ratio in the Laurel area. The sales prove this. This place always has a line. The chicken is moist, marinated, juicy, black beans, a little cilantro infused rice with a squeeze of lime juice(optional-not included with the salad), jalapeno corn salsa, hot red chili salsa, fresh sour cream (no hormones, not like store bought consistency), cheese, fresh guacamole......this is what I usually order as a salad, which comes on a bed of romaine and a side of delicious chipotle honey dressing.....enjoy!!! Chipotle in general is ruining Mexican food for me. This feels like such a healthier way to enjoy my Mexican cravings. I am a huge fan of the burrito bowl. This location is smack dab in the middle of Laurel, right by the Best Buy. I used to come here often when I lived in Laurel. The restaurant is always clean, and the service is pretty swift. There was a lady in line ahead of me who was trying her hardest to mess with the smooth oiled machine that is the Chipotle line, but they overcame her self-absorbed mentality, and still had her through the line faster than a prom dress coming off at the after-party! The last time I came though, I will say they were jamming a little too hard on the music. I don't remember this from previous visits though. If I am ever stuck again in the Laurel area, I wouldn't hesitate to hit this place up again! read more

PLEASE SOMEONE / MANAGER ADDRESS THIS! Every Wednesday our office orders chipotle. In the beginning we'd fax it but then their fax broke (so the staff said) so we'd email it. A few week's ago we were told to call in each order -- 20 orders. That's not even the problem. EVERY SINGLE TIME we've ordered an order comes wrong. We still have continued to ordered an every Wednesday we make sure to tell them to put EVERYTHING EACH ORDER SAYS. The last two Wednesday's we've had to go back and show them that the orders are wrong. Today we got tacos with ONLY rice. We spend over $200 every Wednesday and the orders are always wrong. We asked from extra chicken, half spoon or rice etc but they still get it wrong! read more

Update: This Chipotle is always wicked busy. I have been here almost any time between 11am and 8 pm and there has always been a serpentine line of hungry people that feeds back into the seating area. Alas! There is a sneaky way to one-up this line of doom. This Chipotle completely stands by their online ordering system, and does so with timeliness. So, knowing its busy, I have: ordered my "usual" online. Immediately left my house, proceeded to Chipotle, gone straight to the counter while avoiding the death-gaze from the line of doom and picked up my online order of delicious joy. Horrible customer service! Eber, the restaurant manager, was very rude. I really don't like when I go to Chipotle and I ask for extra chicken, then they give half the spoon or don't fill up the spoon. And after doing that, they expect you to pay full price for that "extra" which you did NOT receive. If I'm PAYING for extra chicken, then give me extra chicken. It's that simple. So, yesterday evening, my Mom and I stopped by this restaurant. We ordered two extra chicken quesadillas. The girl did fine on my order. When it was time for my Mom, she gave her a stingy "extra" chicken. My Mom asked her to give the extra chicken since we are PAYING for it. As the girl was about to give the extra, Eber comes out of nowhere and empties the chicken (sitting on the tortilla) into the metal container with the rest of the chopped chicken and then very impatiently says "This is extra"....as he scoops a miserable amount the first time and an even more miserable amount the second time back onto the tortilla he had initially removed the chicken from. My Mom and I were stunned. My Mom decided she didn't want anything as she could not deal with their attitude and lack of customer service. So, we just PAID for my order and walked out! Eber, the manager, should be re-trained thoroughly in customer service. Pros: The food is delicious. It may seem like a small menu, but you can really change it up every time you come here. The vegetables are wonderful (but I don't see a lot of people getting them). The line moves pretty quickly. Cons: No one really needs a cup of sour cream on top of their food - I really wish the staff would be more mindful about their serving portions. The staff seem to get into a routine sometimes so when you tell them what you want - pay close attention. I usually have to repeat myself multiple times when I want to skip the rice and/or meat. The workers behind the counter are always friendly and flexible. If you have a food allergy or religious reasons for cross contamination, they will change their gloves (although, I saw this cause quite a stir once). Food is fresh--it's kind of Chipotle's modus operandi. Guacamole is amazing for a "fast food" establishment. Although as many people have warned on here, it's very easy to go overboard on your caloric intake. Skip the cheese and sourcream--and try not to get any tortillas. It's senseless calories. A few things need to change about this place--most importantly the size. As Chipotle has grown more and more popular over the years, the line has extended further and further into the dining area, making for quite a mess between 12:00-1:30 pm and 8:00-10:00 pm. Maybe it's time to invest in a larger location? And finally the CUSTOMERS. People, if there is a sneeze guard in front of you,that doesn't mean reach your hand over and point to the food you want to stuff down your face. I didn't come to eat rice with your skin cells and hair all over it. I would love it if Chipotle put some sort of sign on there to indicate as such, instead of advertising about their free-range farming practices. We get it, you're environmentally friendly and are into sustainable farming--we appreciate it. But seriously, do something about that sneeze guard. read more

I've been here twice and the have been very pleased both times. The line moves very fast and both times I was in and out in under 10 minutes. The only negative is the limited number of filling choices. Chiptole in general doesn't have as many filling choices as other burrito chains but this location has even fewer choices than other Chipotles I've been to. Chiptole is also a bit more expensive than the other burrito chains but they do make the best burritos. read more

If I could give this location ZERO stars, I would! First off, I ordered two bags and chips and a side of guacamole. I asked for a side of sour cream to go with one of my bags of chips and the cashier said that I had to pay $1 for a side of sour cream. Never had to pay for sour cream in the past. Then I go home to eat my guacamole and there's a quarter size piece of just avocado in the guacamole which they neglected to smash up. So I had maybe two chips of guacamole and the rest of the container was just a piece of unripe avocado. I love chipotle! The service at every other location has been superb. It's just a version of a fast past, buffet customer service food line. The food is very good and the service was fast and on point. They make eye contact, welcome you as soon as you walk ( a better version of Moe's) and the food layout was fresh. I purchased the chicken burrito bowl and pretty much added everything.....YES I'M Greedy Like That SOMETIMES!!!! Don't judge me! The best part is no matter how little or as much you as want to add to the bowl it's the same price. My bowl was $6.35 and I had enough to eat for lunch and dinner. To make things even worse, they dripped pork juice and a piece of pork in someone's vegetarian dish. Then they thought it was okay to remove the piece of meat and continue to fulfill the order.
