This location has all of the standard Chipotle pros and a few gigantic non-standard cons. Pros: food is delicious! I've never had any issues with it being cold or overcooked. The line is also frequently long, but they are very skilled at moving it quickly. Cons: The online ordering here is a nightmare, as many other reviewers have mentioned. I frequently get an incredibly wrong item (order: veggie burrito bowl received: steak tacos...) and unless you check it the second they hand your order to you, you're doomed. Another downside of online ordering is, maybe because of the assumed spike in complaints and errors, sometimes they won't make it until you're there. That means you are waiting just about the same time as if you were in line, and watching your meal get made in between the line of regulars. The other big con is that this Chipotle should be called cheap-otle. The portions are SO small for the average Chipotle. I don't even get meat, just veggies, and it is routinely a struggle to convince the worker to give me more than 5 strips of peppers and onions. More veggies, more veggies, more veggies. While they're cheap on veggies, they are absurdly generous with sour cream and cheese to an almost gross extent. Last time I ended up with a spoonful of veggies and a good quarter cup of sour cream. This is a pretty standard Chipotle except this one is always running out of things. They have a sign up saying they do not carry Chipotle-quality ingredients because they've run out. They also didn't have sofritas when I went, which was a big disappointment to me because I'm a vegetarian and had just stood in their line for 20 minutes and there really weren't that many other options for me. I decided to get a veggie burrito bowl. I had to ask for extra beans and rice because they put so little in the bowl. (They know I'm not getting meat so why go light?) Also, the people behind the counter don't look up and kind of just throw your food around. They were just off putting and rude. I usually avoid Chipotle because they always have a long line. I am new to the area and was seeking a part time job. I was excited to see that Chipotle had emailed for an interview. I love to eat at this particular location because the lines are long but the service is quick and well worth the wait, However if you are seeking a job opportunity; know I was well dressed in business attire for my interview and my other competitors were dressed in jeans, leggings and sweatshirts. (also friends with the unprepared team members) I did an excellent job at my interview, even thou the team of people interviewing me aside from the kitchen manager, in which was the only one prepared with questions for the interview. (I had a position in which I taught people employability skills) Aside from that know this particular location will hire you if you are friends with someone or was recommended by someone that knows you. I have no hard feelings but just want to put it out there, that they have missed a great opportunity with hard working person and know that these type of jobs have lots of turn over rates. On most days, there's a long line that meanders way past the iced tea and alongside the stools, facing the window and here's why; it's fresh; it's awesome; and did I say it's fresh? Don't worry though, the line goes by super fast. No matter how I mix it up, it's delicious. Cilantro in rice, brown or white - take your pick, salsas to choose from, mild/medium/super hot. Get the corn salsa; it'll calm your palate between each bite. The guacamole adds the right amount of tang and then, I sprinkle that bottled green jalapeno liquid all over it - top it off with that homemade iced tea and squeeze of lime - yes, heaven in my tummy! Humm I wanted to like it but NO. I went last night thurs around 5:30 the line was 15 minutes long. That's ok, the line moved, the restaurant was clean and well lit. I ordered the chicken burrito which was half full of rice. I don't like guacamole or sour cream so only using the chunky salsa made my super large meal dry. After eating half I felt so bloated. Yes the lines are super long most of the times but after you get to eat your burrito is definitely worth it, the people serving food is nice and try to get you out as fast as possible . My opinion, I have probably been here 30 times. We love to go as a family after church. They usually have a line, but they always do a fine job. I would not say it is not any different that the service I have has at other Chipotles. In the past, I think I recall that the options for seating five people was limited inside. NEED NEW GLASS BARRIER HERE. I'm ok with the food and service at this location. I am not ok with the glass barrier they have between customers and food. It's not large enough or protective enough. I often see customers leaning over it or putting their hands over it and pointing - it's too much and too close to the food. I've noticed other Chipotles have a diff kind of glass and even other stores have a more protective glass like at Subway stores. I visited this location in Laurel on May 6 and waited in line for 35minutes, which is not a problem, I am always prepared to wait in line at this location and I gave my order to a gentleman the Manager Arbey which started off great, he was very polite, moving along the line he pass the order to a employee by the name of Florida. I asked for if I can have sour cream on my food as well as in cup. She stated we do not have any more sour cream. (its a Friday night and probably one of the most busy nights, how could they not be prepared and have no sour cream) I can see the large container with the sour cream that she had just taken a few scoops and put in a small container for a Latino women in front of me, (I stated to her if its an extra cost, I will pay no problem), but for some unknown reason she gave me very bad customer service. I stated to her I just saw you make it for the young lady in front me, she stated I can not give you any. I asked for manager and if she can call the manager she stated he is over there not showing me specifically the manager was, I asked another employee and he directed me to manager the gentleman that started off my order. I made him aware of the situation and he looked at her and told her in Spanish to fix the sour cream in a container. She ignored what he told her, and he continued to fix another customer food, I made him aware that she is not giving great customer service. She walked off and answered a question for someone in the line, than she (Florida) cashed out a customer at the register and came back to the food line and took a person behind me, while I waited, I pointed out the whole incident to the manager and he (Arbey) came to put the sour cream in the cup and said I'm sorry (not a meaningful apology) and kinda smirked and I repeated my concern of the very bad customer service I received and I expressed that go to this location at least twice a week sometimes more and the service I received was unacceptable from Florida. He than laughed and said sorry. I told him you can keep the order, I will go to another restaurant and spend my money where I will receive better service. I called back to the store and got his name and the employee that gave this location a bad reputation. Which I have shared with my family and friends. Although we live closer to this location, we rather drive to College Park where we will receive better service for our money. I will also follow on this concern with the corporate on Monday morning. This manager and employee needs to be let go. This could be considered as racial profiling; she assisted the Latino people with no issue, but when it came to me she gave me a problem. So I have had troubles with this location multiple times. This place is crap. Not because of the food but because of the crappy customer service. This is my second time I go in to chipotle , the younger staff is always friendly where the older staff especially one of the managers (Romina) happen to be very rude and disrespectful, I went in and asked for tofu , as she picked it up I saw there was steak in it and I asked her can I have some tofu that hasn't been contaminated with any meat , she then takes the sofritas out and turns around and scoops the steak out then begins to mix the sofritas , I'm stunned at the fact she saw me looking at her and had the nerve to ask me did I want it, I'm a vegetarian so of course I said no , she then had the audacity to forcibly slide/toss my bowl down the line and then said next, I speak to the young lady at the register and let her know what happens , she then goes and tells her what I said and romina laughs and says "I don't care , you can tell him I said that" I went in again last week and the sofritas had barbacoa in it ! This chipotle is very unsafe for non-meat eaters and very disrespectful to its customers, I ask that you review the cameras so you can see when the big fat one Romina aggressively served my food and tossed my bowl down the line. This Laurel Chipotle is the worst when it comes to customer service and online orders. For the 3rd time in a row I have given them a chance when it came to ordering food for my office. How do you make someone a taco and somehow forget the cheese and lettuce that was listed on the order ticket?
