    Original Bull Smashburger with Fries
    Barry B.

It seems this outlet opened at this location in September 2024. This unit used to be an Urban BBQ. Me and the wife went out for lunch today (Veteran's Day), originally headed to Chili's to take advantage of one for the veteran officers. The line was crazy. So we headed down the road a bit to this place. Decided to give it a try, didn't know much about it. It is clean, and simply decorated, there is a booth side and traditional tables side. You walk down a center corridor to the order counter. My wife got a traditional "Bull" smash burger. I got the "Nash & Smash" sandwich. We both got fries with the peri-peri seasoning. It was a bit to spice forward for her taste. I was feeling the back heat from them, and I like hot wings. If you are sensitive to spice stick with the mild offerings and avoid the sauces and seasoning on fries and such. Peri-Peri after all is what a bird's eye chili pepper from Africa is called. She liked the burger, had skipped- the peri-peri sauce. My sandwich was good, but I wouldn't get it again, the burger is lost by the spice of the Nashville chicken and medium sauce. My mouth is still tingly a bit. Would likely come back and try some other things at some point. Just be mindful of the name of the franchise, order with caution.

Bubba's 33 -- Ask for the Bar, Not the Dining Room…read more I was here about three months ago and left a solid review. That visit (bar side) was great. This time I sat in the dining room... completely different experience. Order & food: * I asked for tater tots and got fries instead. It took so long just to get a soda that I didn't bother sending them back. * Fries: over-salted and generic -- nothing special. * Tater tots: still the move here. Don't skip them. * Jalapeño burger (with the jalapeño popper puck + added cheese): flavor idea is good, but the build was sloppy. * Shredded lettuce/tomato made it messy * Nobody asked temp -- it came out overdone Service & seating: * Sat at a handicapped table, which felt awkward. * Service in the dining room was slow and inconsistent: long wait for drinks, minimal check-ins, no follow-up. * The vibe felt off -- even basic interactions felt different than what I've had at the bar. I didn't wait around for dessert or anything -- paid the tab, tipped what matched the service, and left. Bottom line: This place isn't one experience -- it's two. Bar side: consistent, attentive, worth it. Dining room: slow, sloppy, and not on the same level. There are other spots doing burger deals going in the Rotation now!

Menu displayed many fabulous choices for a tavern. Waitress was very welcoming and provided recommendations. Being in Maryland I ended up with a Maryland clam chowder soup which was delish. We ordered pretzel sticks appetizers and after eating the appetizer and soup I simply had no more room for my chicken capreze. Ate it the next day while in the road and it was so good! Place was packed and the decor was awesome. Was really eye pleasing . Service was great and super fast considering it was a Friday night. I'm not a beer drinker but had beer. I addressed the issue with one of the workers or possible bar back who said that he would send someone out to speak with me. We waited about 15 minutes and no one came. I decided to go in and the general manager Dan came to speak with me. I felt very dismissed, he expressed that the rock probably came from the potato, honestly I was understanding that things like this happen as I also work in service. It was the way he responded to me, as he said "ok and what do you want me to do about it" there was no apologies or I'm sorry this happened. I wasn't asking for him to comp my entire meal, but the least he could have done was apologize and or discount the meal or one beverage. I mainly addressed this issue to make them aware, and I honestly wouldn't have written this review if Dan the general manager was one, polite and two the least bit apologetic. I walked out feeling dismissed and irritated. Better sub your fries for salad unless you would like an unexpected trip to the dentist.

We just awkwardly stared at each other until I started ordering. The ambiance was the same. It was loud and mostly clean. There was an "odor" in the air that I was not able to identify but I think it was the smell of old grease. Now the burger. I don't know if the meat is frozen or fresh, but it's a good burger. Was it an $8 burger? Not even close. I also purchased a small fry. They were cooked fresh, but I paid $4.75 for what I am fairly confident were frozen fries. The kind you would get a Wendy's. Speaking of, I think I would have rather had a Wendy's burger. It would have tasted about the same and been cheaper. In total, with a tip, I spent $19.52. A single patty cheese burger with American cheese and a few toppings. I travel all over the east coast for work. I love finding small local places to eat, but I won't be back to this burger chain.

I feel like Boardwalk Fries & Burgers started out that way (they've been around in MD for a while but I can't recall how long). They maybe should have stayed that way. The fries are good but not worth the trip. Fresh cut, skin on fries. Keep it this simple, which they did, and you can't go wrong. The burger, which was supposed to be 1/4 lb seemed on the small side. The pineapple slice (got the Hawaiian burger) was almost tasteless such that I had to check a couple times if I there was still any in my burger. Also, the restaurant was very cold! I happened not realize that the thermostat was on the wall in front of me and it was set to 66°. That's probably fine if you're popping in to pick up an order but not fine at all if you're eating there.

When I pointed it out they corrected the bill and apologized. The burger and fries came out piping hot and fresh, which I liked. Besides the price issue, I was also puzzled that the beer list didn't have prices listed. The staff was able to check and confirm the price for me prior to ordering. All the burgers come with fries. The chicken sandwich was just okay. It was a large piece of chicken, but could have been seasoned better. Both burgers I'd had have been seasoned well and cooked the way I asked. The toppings were plentiful and the buns were fresh. The burgers are actually larger than the buns, which is the way it should be. The fries are just okay. They do sprinkle some seasoning on them, but I always add my own when I get home. The reason I removed a star is because I've ordered onion rings on two different occasions and both times it's taken nearly 30 minutes for them to come out. When I inquire about the long wait, I'm told they'd "be right out" and then end up waiting an additional 15 minutes while everyone after me has received their food. I don't order the onion rings anymore because of this, which is a shame because they're actually quite good. They're crispy and the batter is light. They offer a bunch of different burgers and wings with a variety of sauces, as well as fries, onion rings, sweet potato fries, and some options for the kids.

Besides the variety of burgers, there are fries and onion rings, etc. My wife and I were intrigued by both the Birria Burger and the Funky Fries. The Birria Burger was alright. Plus side, when I asked for it cooked medium, it was cooked to a proper medium, which I don't see a lot of burger trucks get right. Thick patty that's well-seasoned. The shredded birria beef on top was okay. I like birria tacos, but I don't think it translated super well to a burger - it ended up just being two different styles of beef with different flavor profiles so they didn't really compliment each other. It came with a big helping of fries. The Funky Fries are a great way to just indulge in comfort foods. It's fries, it's buffalo chicken pieces, it's mac n' cheese, all smooshed together with cheese and ranch. I imagine this is fantastic after a night of drinking and/or smoking. I wasn't doing either of those at the time, but it was definitely comforting, which is what I wanted when I ordered it. I think I would come back to try some of the other burger offerings. If you like good burgers, this place will probably have something for you.

Slutty Vegan Baltimore, It's Worth the Hype!!…read more Took a trip to the Black Owned Slutty Vegan Baltimore for my Big Sis's birthday, she's been dying to try it and finally got to see what all the buzz is about! The location is everything! Right in downtown Baltimore's up and coming Peninsula area, directly across from the Sagamore Rye Distillery. It's a fresh, developing spot that's definitely on the rise. The exterior is sleek and minimal, but once you step inside, boom!!! It's loud, lively, and unapologetically bold. Think vibrant colors, massive wall graphics, and a staff that greets you with energy and personality. They literally call you out as you walk in and it's hilarious and welcoming. Special shoutout to Zaneka (hope I'm spelling that right!) she was amazing. Patient, fun, and super helpful with all our first-timer questions. We were the first ones at the door when they opened, so we had the place to ourselves for a bit! We wanted to try EVERYTHING, but settled on: - The infamous One Night Stand - The Slutty Chicken Caesar Wrap - Both with Slutty Fries - And of course, the Oreo Cookie Milkshake to top it off Everything was flavorful and fun, definitely a unique twist on plant-based comfort food. My only drawback on my One Night Stand was that the Baltimore locations menu indicates that they add in chili on the burger which is not indicated on the online versions of the menu. I'm not a spicy food eater and I THINK that's what put the spice in this burger, I'll have it removed when I come back, but overall everything was pretty good. We ate in so our fries were hot and extra crispy. The milkshake was on point as well. I tried the pomegranate slutty ORGANIC lemonade on the go out and I have no regrets, very robust in flavor and really good. I am definitely a fan. Will be back to try other items on the menu. Go get SLUTTY!! If you're in Baltimore and looking for a bold, unforgettable vegan experience, Slutty Vegan is a must. It's not just a meal, it's a whole vibe. #SluttyVeganBaltimore #VeganEats #PlantBasedParty #BaltimoreFoodie #BirthdayBites #SluttyVibes #FoodWithAttitude #VeganComfortFood #SisterCelebration #BaltimorePeninsulaEats

It seems every few years a new vegan casual chain is attempted and they all disappear because frankly they're just not good enough and this is no exception. The fries are decent, though I'd prefer them a little crispier and more seasoned. The chicken head sandwich is barely better than a Boca patty, which is really saying something (negative). The temporary item The big meat was okay but there was nowhere enough of the pulled "meat" it wasn't even as thick as one side of the bun, never mind both. The quality of food for $20 per item is frankly outrageous. I want vegan restaurants to succeed but this isn't going to be the way to do it and there is 0 chance we'll be returning.
