Steak egg and cheese on toast

Quick, reliable, affordable, hot breakfast sandwiches. No dining in. What more do you need from a Carryout that's opens as early as 7 am?

Amazing!!!!!!! Open up a restaurant

Making cheesesteak

I used to work by here and go here for lunch often fo lunch 2-3 times a month for the past 10 years. Same owners and same recipes. Nothing changes but the same delicious flavors remain the same. My favorite place in this part of town for cheesesteaks!

TJ's Carry Out is a very good hole in the wall cheesesteak place in Linthicum. Very easy to miss if you haven't been here before. They have a good variety of options but I've only tried the cheesesteak here. Their cheesesteaks are delicious and I usually get their combo which comes with fries and drink for under $9. They don't skimp on the meat here and also give a large portion of fries. Seems like most of the negative reviews are delivery related so if you do carry out, you should be good. Also, if you're a germaphobe, this probably isn't the place for you. If you're looking for some delicious cheesesteaks in linthicum, definitely stop by and try TJ's carryout.

If you're looking for a tasty overstuffed sub and you're by the Linthicum area, definitely check out T.J.s Carry Out (or T.J.'s Best Steak Subs). After doing some driving to figure out the lunch plans, I landed at the very end of W. Nursery Road where a little restaurant sat. I saw the sign "T.J.'s Best Steak Subs" and thought to myself that this has got to be another restaurant hyping itself up a little too much. Being the curious fellow I am, I went in and gave this place a try. First thing I noticed when coming in was the amount of patrons already in the store. This told me that this seems to be a popular spot for locals and for those who work in the area. After ordering the Ribeye cheese steak special with fries and a medium drink, I can see why. By the time I was able to digest the sub, I couldn't even eat all of the fries. By the way, the fries are plentiful. It wouldn't be Baltimorean of me if I didn't get a half and half (half tea/half lemonade) for the drink, which hit the spot as well. The whole special, including tax, came to $7.41. There are no tables inside the restaurant, so pretty much be prepared to pack your food for the long haul. T.J.'s is definitely worth another visit in the future.

I love their cheesesteak subs and fries. Everything here is great, even breakfast. Nice people, hard-working, family-run business.

The food is always delicious here, sandwiches are piled high with a meat of your choice, cheese,…read moreslaw, tomato, and fries. Onion rings are super crispy and stay together well. The drinks were HUGE but not very strong. I did get a little plastic duck with my cocktail which was very cute, though. Despite being a Pittsburgh sandwich and bar restaurant, you would expect to see Steelers memorabilia, but the Linthicum MD location is full of Baltimore Ravens gear! The service was attentive and always around if you needed something. Food comes out quickly, I didn't wait more than 10-15 minutes for anything to come out. Overall, Food and Drinks: 8.5/10 Service: 8/10 Atmosphere: 7/10

P is for Primanti Bros., representing 2024 in alphabet series:…read more I was familiar with Primati Bros. when I visited my parents in Lancaster. They live very close to a location there, and we got pizza to go when I was visiting them one time maybe in 2022. The pizza was very good as I recall. Then, I saw there was a location of Primanti Bros. opening in Linthicum Heights near BWI Airport, the first location in the Baltimore-DC area. They were having a grand opening on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, where the 1st 100 customers were going to get free sandwiches for year. I live about 13 miles from here, and I toyed with the idea of trying to be one of the first 100. But I opted against as even if I got there at 6 AM for the 10 or 10:30, whatever grand opening time, and there's still no guarantee I'd be the 1st 100. And I'd be pissed that I drove all the way there and stood there for hours to get nothing in the end. Not to mention, I had work too (although on average probably slower due to also Juneteenth holiday), which I could do from out there to a certain extent. Ultimately, I had emailed them, and they said the 100th customer got there at approximately 4 AM that morning! That's insane. This place really has a cult following! A friend, who knew I lived in AA County, loves this place and mentioned the idea of meeting up with me one Sunday to watch a Ravens game, and him and his fiancée (wife as of March 2025) went up there a few times to watch game or other reasons they went that way. On Thursday, October 3, 2024, like Juneteenth the holiday Primanti Bros. opened, it was Rosh Hosannah, and that friend who had off (as he works in a school & they get the Jewish holiday) off invited me to lunch with another friend of ours. My work was slow that day, and I needed to eat lunch somewhere anyway. I probably would've eaten lunch at home or close to home if they hadn't thought to invite me. So, I drove the 13 miles from home to meet up with them. Those two friends were kind of high. Well sure, it was a holiday they were off work. And they were hungry too! I was hungry too because well it was lunchtime. Service was prompt & friendly answering our questions. However, server was a bit of a klutz as she accidentally spelled some water got a bit on one friend. Geez, was she the one who was high?!...just kidding, it's just one of those accidents that can happen being a server. She was apologetic. My friend took it with stride having a positive attitude. I believe I got a pastrami sandwich, but could've been corned beef. Their sandwiches are big, pilled high with lots of meat & delicious too. I can really see why the following for this place with the quantity but also the high quality. Fries were plentiful too, which were also delicious. I ate well that day for lunch and was quite full. I went to an event that evening, and I think I just ate something small/snack for dinner that night after I got home around 9 PM. This was a great service with excellent plentiful sandwiches & fries and nice service.

Always on the lookout for a great pit beef sandwich (aka MD BBQ), wanted to give this play a try…read more This is complicated because they only serve pit beef during lunch on Thursdays and Fridays. This sandwich is almost a complete 180 from the last pit beef sandwich I ate from Beefalo Bobs. Unlike their overly smokey beef, The Pit Sandwich barely had any smoke flavor. The beef was sliced out of an alto shaam (hot box) rather than off a pit. The result was nicely cooked, if not a little cool, beef that really lacked any pit flavor/texture. It would have benefited from salt and pepper. Not saying it was not good, but was more like roast beef than pit beef. Pioneer still reigns supreme. On to the next one.

I don't write reviews lightly, but what happened at Willy's has crossed every line of safety,…read moreprofessionalism, and basic human decency. My fiancé and I have supported this local spot for years. It used to be a reliable go-to. But over time, something shifted--and now I know exactly what it is: the cook, Laura. On 11/28, I ordered steak and eggs. What I was served was not just unappetizing--it was dangerous. The steak smelled rancid, oozed a grayish liquid, and had visible discoloration. We flagged it immediately. Today, we returned to follow up and were horrified to learn that Laura had been explicitly told not to use those steaks because they were spoiled--and she served them anyway. Let that sink in. Why wasn't the meat discarded? Why did she knowingly serve it? Is she untrained, negligent, or something worse? And more importantly--why is she still employed? This isn't an isolated incident. Months ago, I stopped in for a quick lunch and became violently ill within the hour. I had to pull over to vomit and missed an important business meeting. I suspected something was off then, and from that point on, I would call ahead to make sure Laura wasn't cooking. Recently, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. That was a mistake. There's a level of disregard here that feels personal. When I asked to speak with her after learning about the spoiled meat, the staff refused and smirked like it was a joke. It's not. This could have led to hospitalization--or worse. This is a public health issue. Laura's actions were reckless, and the restaurant's failure to act is inexcusable. I'm mortified, furious, and deeply disappointed. Willy's was once a place I proudly supported. Now, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Until there's accountability, I won't be back--and I urge others to think twice before risking their health here.
