[[HIGHLIGHT]]I love this venue! I was happy to see the restaurant has expanded its dining area ! It looks so spacious and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I even watched some basketball on the big TV while eating my meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The venue is celebrating being open @1 year already! I am so thankful that the venue stayed in our neighborhood. Good food and great service here on Main Street. The food is so memorable and I have missed the Caldo de res !!! We have been traveling and I have not been able to get back sooner to satisfy my cravings! I has a side of avocado, sweet plantains, and rice! A squeeze of lime and a bit of habanero sauce... it's amazing!!! We ordered yummy chicken tamales and pork with yuca!!! We enjoyed the friendly, welcoming, and attentive staff. And it was so cool to see patrons even ordering takeout out!

Acapulco of laurel was great. Food was delicious!! IHad Carne guisada and two Pupusas revuelta.. . Bartender David a true mixologist. Check him out Wednesdays thru Friday..

Husband and I were in the mood for Mexican and found this place - what a fantastic find and can't wait to go back. Located on main street in Laurel, there is street parking out front or a giant lot out back. We arrived about an hour before closing on a Saturday night, there were 1-2 other tables and a couple people at the bar - otherwise empty. There is an extensive menu to choose from, almost overwhelming with all the things that tasted good. We got a house marg, which was good, and chips and dip came. For a main course, we split the fajitas with chicken, beef, and shrimp and a side of plantains. You get about 8 plantains for the price, VERY worth it - they were delish. The fajitas were plenty to share between two people with some leftovers to take home. It was nicely decorated with enjoyable music playing but not too loud. The downside was that there was no flan available, we were hoping to give that a try. With any luck, they will have some the next time we come!

The tripe soup! So hearty and flavorful. I have nothing more to say. I need to go back soon.

I think Acapulco has a ton of promise and will be back to try out more than just the pupusas and chips. I went very early on when they first opened to get carry out. I got there after lunch but pre dinner. They were really super friendly and the food was solid. A few misses were stale chips and they forgot the curtido with my pupusas. I expect that was just the kitchen working out the kinks. I did have an amazing horchata and enjoyed chatting with the hostess/bartender about the place. Very cute little place. As I said, I will be back to try out many of the other dishes on the menu.

NY steak & the rice was super delicious. Highly recommend to everyone.

I was finally in the area and got a chance to go in person and wow, the experience of eating the food fresh there was even better - although I must say this food does travel very well. I wish I caught the young man's name, who was the cashier, but he was great! He was very friendly, just seemed like a good, hardworking kid. I wanted a classic so I just got the gyro platter, the Greek fries and the soup. The soup is so good and reminds me of my favorite Greek place back home in chicago, I used to eat this type of soup every weekend with my family. Ingredients are fresh here and quality is always A1. The Greek fries are my favorite and a guilty pleasure. They are so flavorful and have the best texture. The gyro was also very filling and they really don't skimp out here with their toppings. The parking lot is small, and there's no sauce stand--which is probably my only downside. Because of the holiday, the wait was about 30 minutes for four tacos, which was a bit longer than I would've liked. That said, it was worth it. Taqueria Los Primos has always been my go-to spot and, up until now, the best tacos I've had in Maryland--but Los Perez takes the top spot for me. I was a little thrown off seeing the hot sauce come in a plastic packet, but it was actually super fire. I'd come back here all the time. This place could easily hold its own against some of the best Mexican spots in Los Angeles. Highly, highly recommend if you haven't been yet.

The table behind me said they saw something too. I told the server, Andrew and he offered to give us a discount and admitted to having a mouse issue lately. That should have been the warning sign for me but we just got our food. I kept looking over and I didn't see anything but Andrew placed the broom and dust pan near where the mouse was. So I got up to get some cream puffs and as I about to sit down, the mouse came back and I told Andrew and he got the broom and dust pan and caught the mouse and killed it and proceeded to have us pay. This is what really ticked me off. I went to the front before we left and asked to speak to a manager. The girl looked and then looked over at her friend (who probably wasn't the manager) and said here she is. I told her what happened and she said "yeah sorry, we have someone coming next week and he didn't kill the mouse, he let the mouse go right outside". SERIOUSLY? That mouse is coming right back inside! This is a problem that pest control needs to come out IMMEDIATELY! I just watched a mouse get killed/caught while trying to eat! I stopped and lost my complete appetite. I will be informing the PG county health department immediately and I will never come back here if this is how they operate. The "manager" clearly was more focused on closing and getting out at 10:30pm (they close at 11pm).

Usually with brunch we would do the bottomless mimosas and all but because I was driving I decided not to participate in that. And usually I would get chicken and waffles but I was in the mood for a burger. So I thought because their name is "Mad Cow" the burger would be the bomb...but nope it was not good at all. So I prefer a beef burger cooked medium with blue cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onions. When I burger got tot the table it was dry as a board. No blue cheese that I paid extra for and the burger was not cooked correctly it was cooked well done. Smdh. So the waiter brought me my blue cheese apologized about it and also gave me a mayo bottle. Even with the burger still was not good and the patty was so thick with no flavor not even salt and pepper was in it!! I tried their punch drink which was really good but for $15 a pop in a regular water glass was ridiculous. Make sure you don't get too tipsy as they already have like a 20% gratuity added on each of our checks no matter how small or big your group is which again is ridiculous! Today, I gave them another shot because Uber Eats was offering a buy one, get one free deal on the jerk chicken meal. I chose rice & peas with plantain for my sides. The chicken was cooked on the grill--which I love--because it really brings out the flavor in jerk chicken. I also requested my jerk sauce on the side since I prefer a dry rub style over a saucy one. The only drawback was the small bone pieces in the chicken and rice. That's something to be cautious about, especially if a child is eating the meal. The plantains were also inconsistent--some pieces were hard, while others were mushy. On the bright side, the coco bread was perfect and the Jamaican rum cake was phenomenal. Whoever baked that cake clearly took their time soaking it in rum. It reminded me of the way my grandmother used to make it--absolutely delicious. I would definitely order the rum cake again.

We were headed to Amber Spice for a late lunch, and fortunately, we made it in before the 2:45pm cutoff (I called ahead to check). Since it was almost lunch closing, they did request that we place our orders soon after being seated. We already knew what we wanted to order, so we didn't feel rushed otherwise. We started with the veggie samosas ($6, two pieces), which were served with the traditional tamarind sauce and spicy cilantro chutney. The samosas were packed with the potato and pea filling and had a lightly crisp exterior. They were as good as any. For my entree, I ordered the butter chicken ($20), which is served with a side of basmati rice. When ordering, the waiter didn't ask about spice level. I did find their butter chicken to have some heat to it, but it wasn't anything crazy - I'd say a 3/10 for spiciness - I felt the warmth. The chicken was super tender and moist. I would be happy getting this again. I also ordered the garlic naan ($5), because you have to have something to sop up the curry goodness. The naan was hot and fresh; you could also taste the garlic. One basket came with four pieces (one whole naan), which is perfect for sharing. I finished the meal with the gulab jamun ($6) for dessert which came with three pieces of the fried dough balls served in a sweet syrup. My friend ordered the mango kulfi and loved it! She described it as a mango lassi, but frozen, which made it that much more light and refreshing. Amber Spice is a casual dining spot and it has the service to match. We were brought a carafe of water for the table to start, so it was self-serve the rest of the way. Food was brought out quickly and plates were cleared at the end, but we weren't checked on during the meal. Perhaps since we arrived near lunch closing, service was winding down, but we got what we needed. I enjoyed the food here and would come again. Everything that we had was not only super tasty, but also reasonably priced. There's also plenty of parking in the shopping center.

I usually am at a comfortable "full" feeling after one order, but by the time I was finished with one order I felt hungrier.. lol I literally went to go eat EXPEDITIOUSLY after. This spot is located inside of Kung Fu Tea, which makes it feel more like a quick stop than a sit-down place. I believe they have a standalone location elsewhere and honestly, a bit more ambiance would help. The Columbia location, for example, feels much cozier.
